Morning guys, there is a request of an offline trip from lagos airport to Adeleke Uni in Osun State. there is no time or date yet. client will like to know how much. Thanks
I once did an offline trip from Iwaya, yaba to badagry. To and fro. I used my church mind to charge N30k + dinner and breakfast cos I had to stay overnight.

Total was about 150km in 10hrs.

You can use google map to calculate the distance then use your discretion

Gazzuzz is kinda expensive sha.

Gazzuzz least service charge on anything is 5k.

If Gazzuzz changes ordinary thermostat on your car he will collect 5k as service charge. Haba
Gazzuzz changes oil for you at 10k without the oil.

Scanning is now 5k in most places Gazzuzz will scan everything alteast 10k.

Gazzuzz is greedy sha.
There is no need for a fuss na...

Just start your own business

build your brand for several years with hardwork, lots of invested time, money and honesty

......then charge yeye price.

afterwards, see how that sit well with you.

Btw, have you been to Honda workshop??

I think ur husband posted on this thread once using your own NL account. That's after the first time you brought up your challenge here.

I have not noticed his post afterwards.

If he is really serious about it, he should constantly and persistently post his need here.

Someone would have picked him up by now if he did.

Pending the time your prayers get answered, I think it would be wise for him to also run through this thread from A-Z for a smooth sail when he finally gets a car.

Btw, I think your fiance won a jackpot cos I see a very supportive wife-to-be here.
God dearly bless you

Labour varies from place to place, and also, the terrains determines charges over here i.e how bushy the land is? do you have trees, shrubs?...etc. But it's fairly between 4 - 8k per plot (did mine for 7k / plot, though mostly shrubs and elephant grasses). So, i think N20k for an acre is very very affordable.
Are you making ridges on the land? thought you were going for Ugu farming or am i missing something?
Thanks

Na the bed making I dey refer to as ridges jare

Hi Jidestroud,
Thanks for all the tips you gave on phone.
Things are shaping up here and I am getting real favored.

I want to ask if you have any Idea how much labor should cost for clearing and ridging of 1 acre.

I contacted 2 sources. Igede people. Their calculations ended up at N20k to clear and N20k for ridging.

Pls are these charges fair??

Any means of getting cheaper labor??

Thanks

Yes you can buy the pods but I prefer buying the seeds already extracted. The last one I got went for about N6000 (that's a paint rubber and the half of calabar variety). I don't know of already treated ugu seeds been sold in the market, except for self treatments with insecticides/fungicides before sowing into mother earth.
Pls what quantity would be needed for 1 acre

Glad i could be a tool to bless someone.

Thanks for appreciating this.

With time, we will look at either a TV programme or a reality show of the practical farm training.

Kalusam is the name i recommended
Reach him on 07036931636.

You are highly welcome
Thanks for the contact.

The reality show you mentioned caught my attention wink

I like the way you think.

If multi-nationals could sponsor reality shows, and make ordinary people to become mega-stars (Even though these stars end up just depleting our moral and traditional values). I think bringing these same multi-nationals to sponsor reality shows that will encourage ready-to-do-the-hard-work youths (these kind of youths are more deserving of being made into stars and millionaires), and also boost the economy by improving our foreign exchange.

God help you.

God help us all.

Wow!!! Wow!!! Wow!!!
That's all I can say.
This thread is just so resourceful that I had to spend nights reading even though I end up sleeping at work grin
At last I made it to the last page. God bless you dearly @Jethro.

I have similar passions with you, but you are one already living the dream "Raising a generation that will maximize the potentials in Nigerian agriculture"

Kudos.

I see you are not really bothered about making money rather than helping people. Hence, have you thought of starting a TV program or radio program in this regards?

Do you think you are ripe for that?

Anyways I believe its time we youths rise up and get the Nigerian economy to the Zenith it ought to be. And i can tell you, agriculture is the future, the major realistic driver in that regards.

BTW, there was a guy that you recommended for ppl to buy ugu seeds from. Kalaus or so. can you give is contact and link to his thread again?

Thanks.

Thanks alot. I had seen that same resource before. Lol. The thing I don't know is "what amount of time does it take to get that projected N500k ROI?"

By the way I also stumbled on a thread here on NL. If you're really interested in tomato production. I can promise you you will stay glued to your screen from pages 1 to the end- Very resourceful.

Ewedu is a good crop to plant during the dry season.
The price automatically double because it become so scarce due to no rainfall.

I have never taken the time to study the cost analysis for ewedu.

Please get in touch with rural farmers in your vicinity to see if they can be of help
Will do. Thanks

Pls does anyone have yield statistics for Ewedu using one acre. I want to have an ROI projection. I couldn't lay hands on any online.

I want to start something on the farm next week. But before then, I need figures to present to my partners
AgricultureRe: Tomato Production And Marketing. Facts Backed With Figures by toyclicks: 1:13pm On Oct 20, 2017
Good afternoon Jethro.

I was on research for the crop to plant this dry season when I stumbled on your thread. I must say your thread has blessed me.
However, I am in a dilema of choosing btw whether to go for ewedu or Tomatoes. From what I can gather, it seems tomato planting would be more sophisticated and demanding than growing ewedu. I have tried to find out potential ROI for Ewedu but can't lay my hands on anything esp online.

Pls can you thus help me with figures. what is the potential ROI from ewedu in this dry season(I hope this is not derailing the thread). using 1 acre as scenario. I will look forward to your reply. thanks
