FamilyRe: Do You Believe In Spanking Your Children? by toyeem(f): 11:19am On Sep 01, 2016
Really. Can you really raise a well-behaved and well-cultured child in Nigeria without spanking? I think the way you do it and the no of times would be the issue. 'Spare the rod and spoil the child';I didn't really understand that until I became a mother.

That's true sha.. I didn't take into consideration the date she fixed the funds.

FamilyRe: How Can I Make Her A Little Tough by toyeem(f): 2:07pm On Jul 30, 2016
My girl was also like your daughter but I have learnt to appreciate her strength and this has really built up her confidence. Children are different, don't compare her with other children or even her sister. focus more on her strengths, encourage her always and praise her when she performs excellently. God bless our children.
FamilyRe: Man Slammed Online For Saving Mother Instead Of Wife; Who Would You Have Saved? by toyeem(f): 9:36am On Jul 28, 2016
Lol. A typical Nigerian man would save his mother first but when the table is turned, she is expected to save him first, very funny.

Abuja, Nigeria.

Who else got this? Looks fishy to me.
Hello. If you applied for this job, I think you should go to the estate with the stated credentials and make enquiries. I stay around there and I know I have seen the mayfield hospital advert on the Blooms Academy signpost just in front of the estate. You could check this out yourself.
FamilyRe: Help :The Women My Dad Is Sleeping With Have Started To Threaten My Mum by toyeem(f): 2:06pm On Jul 16, 2016
nnamdibig:
Your mum might have done something terribly wrong that your dad could not forgive her and is only known to just the two of them.
That is the only reason a woman should still stay with such an abusive man.

as for you guys the children, you guys should let your dad know that you guys are all grown now that he can't be getting away with those things he was doing when you guys were small.
You really think so. I'm sure you've not been privileged to meet such men. I know lots of them, they are not only abusive but also very manipulative.
@op, I've seen issues like this several times and you are the one to help your mother out. Next time he tries to abuse her, take a trip down home and let him know you won't tolerate any of it and be firm but polite about it. He would respect this since you are no more dependent on him.

Dudes and Ladies please who else is experiencing the poor invites these days. For four months now I'm yet to get an invite even if poor. What could be the problem? Who else is experiencing this? The thing just stopped coming. Ammyluv, Maxing, Smile, Missme, Jade, etc. I need your input.
It is well but I can tell you that it's more frustrating when you get invites, attend interviews and you don't get any feedback. In the last 3 months, I got like 10invites. I attended to 5 up till interview stages, then the usual we will get back to you or you will be called when there's vacancy and I ignored 5 as it was getting discouraging. Presently focusing on my business fully.
FamilyRe: Why Do Nigerian Ladies Grow Out Of Shape When Married? by toyeem(f): 11:20am On Jun 29, 2016
Use of contraceptives is one of the major culprits. A lot of married women I know blew up after using hormone-based contraceptives and their men complaining will never agree to use a condom. A lot of things make a married woman get fat but laziness,I don't think it's one.
FamilyRe: Help I Can't Believe This Is The Kind Of Man I Married. by toyeem(f): 9:46am On Jun 03, 2016
Hmnnn!I have observed that the first few years of marriage are always challenging, different funny and serious issues up and down that surprisingly, could lead to the end of most marriages before their 5th year anniversary. The key to survive this period is prayer, extra patience and forgiveness. You need to be very patient with your hubby and in-laws and you have to learn to FORGIVE and FORGET,you will really need it. You cannot continue to keep records of your husband's past mistakes, it kills love gradually. Yes, it might hurt you but learn to forgive and to also take things lightly. Life is too beautiful to be taking irrelevant things too serious.

FamilyRe: The Day My Kid Sister Asked Me What Condom Was... by toyeem(f): 9:36am On May 26, 2016
Eeeyah. My daughter once asked me the same question ooo, we were at a pharmacy and she just touched it and asked what it was. I simply told her it is something only big people like mummy and daddy use, small children don't use it.

Good S3X may be the reason for her stay. They guy may be extremely good in bed.
It's possible then I think she might be obsessed with the guy. I've seen a similar case so it's not uncommon, the elders in her family had to come all the way from the village to bundle her out of the house back to her father's house before the monster kills her .It's just unfortunate that the Op has refused to inform her people.
FamilyRe: My Marriage, My Future, any Hope..... by toyeem(f): 9:11am On May 25, 2016
Hmmmm! God is your strength. Personally, I think you should let your mother know what you are going through because I don't think it's safe to stay in the house alone with a man dat beats you not minding your condition. You have only one life to live, please don't joke with it and that of your precious angel. God will see you through
FamilyRe: My Girl Friend Having Issues Having My Siblings Living With Us If We Get Married by toyeem(f): 8:53am On May 17, 2016
This is a serious one. Find a way of talking this out with her, find out what exactly she's afraid of and convince her that there won't be any problem. I'm very sure she has her reasons. Mine was third party interference and family secrets jumping around but when my husband assured me that there won't be any of such, I lovingly took 2 of my inlaws in and it has been wonderful living with them.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: What's The Weirdest Question You Have Ever Been Asked In An Interview by toyeem(f): 9:34am On May 11, 2016
vickysmilez:
I was told abt a job and was given a phone no to call the manager, I did and was asked to come for an interview immediately. I got there, sat down nd he started with telln me abt d kind of pple dey work with, (governors, senators, etc) The 1st questn he asked was that; if I am sent to one of these pple to close a deal worth millions and inside d office, he asks me to strip, what will I do. I was dumbfounded!!!
I was also asked a similar question in an interview. mine was like this "if we send you to a client to seal a deal and the client insists on you dating him or sleeping with him first, what would you do". I told them I will handle the issue professionally and will still get the job done. They insisted on a yes or no answer and when I said "no", the look on their faces told me all I needed to know. God will help us.

Lol. I've dropped my Cv in schools around. Some schools like Royalty Academy promised to get in touch once there is any opening. Schools with vacancies made offers between 10 and 15k which I rejected. Hoping to get something better before the end of the month. Thanks to all the people keeping this thread alive. God bless you all.

FamilyRe: Why Do Women Forget So Easily? A Case Study Using Tiwa & Teebillz by toyeem(f): 10:11pm On May 01, 2016
Subom1:
Why do men forget so easily? what about all those women who helped and stayed with their man and when they made it they "forgot" about what they did for them when they had nothing?

Its not a women thing because men do the same thing. Its normal and it happens.

Just because someone helped you in the past does not mean you should force yourself to remain in such a relationship when you are not happy esp wrt infidelity etc

After personal experience too i believe one should date someone on the same level as them to avoid all these stories that touch
Gbam! Very Very true.
