Really. Can you really raise a well-behaved and well-cultured child in Nigeria without spanking? I think the way you do it and the no of times would be the issue. 'Spare the rod and spoil the child';I didn't really understand that until I became a mother. |
Acidosis:Pls tell me more about it. How is it done, advantages over F.D and risks involved. Thanks |
My girl was also like your daughter but I have learnt to appreciate her strength and this has really built up her confidence. Children are different, don't compare her with other children or even her sister. focus more on her strengths, encourage her always and praise her when she performs excellently. God bless our children. |
Lol. A typical Nigerian man would save his mother first but when the table is turned, she is expected to save him first, very funny. |
Dextra:Hello. If you applied for this job, I think you should go to the estate with the stated credentials and make enquiries. I stay around there and I know I have seen the mayfield hospital advert on the Blooms Academy signpost just in front of the estate. You could check this out yourself. |
nnamdibig:You really think so. I'm sure you've not been privileged to meet such men. I know lots of them, they are not only abusive but also very manipulative. @op, I've seen issues like this several times and you are the one to help your mother out. Next time he tries to abuse her, take a trip down home and let him know you won't tolerate any of it and be firm but polite about it. He would respect this since you are no more dependent on him. |
cococandy:Lol. I tell you, ehnnn,it was scary initially but not anymore. |
Reyginus:It is well but I can tell you that it's more frustrating when you get invites, attend interviews and you don't get any feedback. In the last 3 months, I got like 10invites. I attended to 5 up till interview stages, then the usual we will get back to you or you will be called when there's vacancy and I ignored 5 as it was getting discouraging. Presently focusing on my business fully. |
Use of contraceptives is one of the major culprits. A lot of married women I know blew up after using hormone-based contraceptives and their men complaining will never agree to use a condom. A lot of things make a married woman get fat but laziness,I don't think it's one. |
Hmnnn!I have observed that the first few years of marriage are always challenging, different funny and serious issues up and down that surprisingly, could lead to the end of most marriages before their 5th year anniversary. The key to survive this period is prayer, extra patience and forgiveness. You need to be very patient with your hubby and in-laws and you have to learn to FORGIVE and FORGET,you will really need it. You cannot continue to keep records of your husband's past mistakes, it kills love gradually. Yes, it might hurt you but learn to forgive and to also take things lightly. Life is too beautiful to be taking irrelevant things too serious. |

YOU ARE INVITED FOR AN INTERVIEW @ ROYAL EXCHANGE PLC, SCHEDULE TO HOLD ON:06/06/2016 VENUE: SUITE G12, FEBSON MALL, WUSE ZONE 4, ABUJA, TIME: 10.00 AM. @ all, who else got this and who knows what they do. Thanks |
Eeeyah. My daughter once asked me the same question ooo, we were at a pharmacy and she just touched it and asked what it was. I simply told her it is something only big people like mummy and daddy use, small children don't use it. |
nnamdibig:It's possible then I think she might be obsessed with the guy. I've seen a similar case so it's not uncommon, the elders in her family had to come all the way from the village to bundle her out of the house back to her father's house before the monster kills her .It's just unfortunate that the Op has refused to inform her people. |
Hmmmm! God is your strength. Personally, I think you should let your mother know what you are going through because I don't think it's safe to stay in the house alone with a man dat beats you not minding your condition. You have only one life to live, please don't joke with it and that of your precious angel. God will see you through |
This is a serious one. Find a way of talking this out with her, find out what exactly she's afraid of and convince her that there won't be any problem. I'm very sure she has her reasons. Mine was third party interference and family secrets jumping around but when my husband assured me that there won't be any of such, I lovingly took 2 of my inlaws in and it has been wonderful living with them. |
vickysmilez:I was also asked a similar question in an interview. mine was like this "if we send you to a client to seal a deal and the client insists on you dating him or sleeping with him first, what would you do". I told them I will handle the issue professionally and will still get the job done. They insisted on a yes or no answer and when I said "no", the look on their faces told me all I needed to know. God will help us. |
@Hafsat24, It might be true, Just try and apply, pray and hope for the best. |
Mpyaw:Really, I didn't know ooo. I will go to the one close to my house on Monday and discuss this with them. Thank you so much |
Lol. I've dropped my Cv in schools around. Some schools like Royalty Academy promised to get in touch once there is any opening. Schools with vacancies made offers between 10 and 15k which I rejected. Hoping to get something better before the end of the month. Thanks to all the people keeping this thread alive. God bless you all. |
@op, God is your strength. He will see you thru this phase in this school called marriage. |
Subom1:Gbam! Very Very true. |
