delpee: Still learning and enjoying. Would also like to know real reason why Ekiti and Ijesha dialect and character are similar though i think the many years of Ogedengbes stay in Ekiti with his supporters may have had an impact.from wiki: The Yoruba dialect continuum itself consists of several dialects. The various Yoruba dialects in the Yorubaland of Nigeria can be classified into three major dialect areas: Northwest, Central, and Southeast.[4] Of course, clear boundaries can never be drawn and peripheral areas of dialectal regions often have some similarities to adjoining dialects. North-West Yoruba (NWY). Abẹokuta, Ibadan, Ọyọ, Ogun and Lagos (Eko) areas Central Yoruba (CY) Igbomina, Yagba, Ilésà, Ifẹ, Ekiti, Akurẹ, Ẹfọn, and Ijẹbu areas. South-East Yoruba (SEY) Okitipupa, Ilaje, Ondo, Ọwọ, Ikarẹ, Ṣagamu, and parts of Ijẹbu. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yoruba_language the dialect includes ife as well. |
that's nice. what about the security situation? it seems the states with larger numbers of immigrants, tend to bear the brunt of the instability. In the north that is. |
op you last logged in on aug 15. please continue posting- just to hear from you. |
false premise imo. not necessarily true, or might be more pronounced in some areas than in others. |
God!!!!!!! This is sad. |
If that's something you cant do, then whatever. |
If you go around impregnating women at will, why complain when they visit native doctors to look for husbands? And like attracts like anyway, so if you werent into native doctors yourself you wouldnt be dating the same. Maybe it was the native doctor element that attracted you to each other to begin with? Anyway, my point is move on with your life and if you fear native doctors after you've impregnated somebody, then turn to Jesus Christ for forgiveness of sin. |
If anyone has any happy ending story to the contrary, then lets hear it. |
Ok, i just reread the op. They were never married to begin with, so i personally wouldnt consider his request, given his initial rejection of the pregnancy for whatever reason. I dont think he'll have fatherly feelings towards the boy, or feelings towards the mother. Of course i could be wrong. And if her dad is opposed to the union, given the circumstances, maybe she needs to listen to him. Men tend to read themselves accurately most times. |
The child is just 3. The only reason why i'd say MAYBE she should consider the man's request is if neither of them is seeing anyone else. Also, if too much drama is attached to their being together, then it's better to stop exposing the child to such. Is the man asking for marriage? Need to reread the original post. Anyway, all the above is just my opinion sha. Not set in stone. |
Una be fool: I don't even knowAnd having a yoruba name means someone is yoruba? |
sexkillz: [color=#000030]Bro, it's not too late to change o. . .Your types are called enemies of progress. So, because you are stuck in your little rut, everybody must stay there with you? Not so, sorry. Seems you are doomed to constantly sorrow while others are rejoicing and making waves. Eyah. Name your own child satan or demon. |
yes, its your name alright. keep typing rubbish english while thinking you're covering your tracks. |
lefulefu types are the resident boyfriends for anybody who needs one. more importantly, he and his boys fill in for seun, when the girls want to go into overdrive. |
^ why did you introduce yourself as oluwabunmi in your very first post? you must think you're smart, smartazz. bunch of semi literate buffoons. later now you'll start hating others for what you brought on yourself. |

He keeps deceiving us with that picture of his! Maybe it was taken 10yrs ago sefare you minding him? posting a 14 year old picture complete with lipgloss and mascara. keep the girls at bay much? how's that working out for him i wonder. |
it has "marry" and "propose" in the title. doesnt have to expressly say romance before people get the picture. one assumes the "marry" and "propose" arent referring to mail order spouses. |
you need paragraphs but you made good points. i dont know why people would spend their time plotting against somebody simply because he or she rejected their advances. shows extremely low self esteem not to mention character flaws. if you spend your waking moments hating somebody, then how will you be able to love someone else? ![]() those of you in the know, enlighten the rest of us. |
Let the kite perch and let the eagle perch if one says no to the other let his wing break. |
