specialguest: You can say that again! I am trying so hard to get this off my mind and go to church this morning but a part of me keeps reminding of yesterday"s incident. I mean the same woman might be on the alter today( you know most Nigerian pastor"s wives are automatically pastors too) and my thoughts towards her are not pure anymore. How am I supposed to listen to her sermon? You need to see the way she carries herself every other day, so much like queen Elizabeth.
On a brighter note her husband is a pastor of high standing. Very nice and open to all members. If only I met him yesterday instead of the wife all these would not have happened.

ruffhandu: The point is not actually the financial status of the parents but the deprivation of that parental care/love. Imagine when a child grows up to realize that one of his/her parents is not accessible to him/her, perhaps the parents couldn't remain together because of one "silly excuse", as it may look to the child.

this would be the sun, moon and stars, which are all markers of time and which humans use as indicators of time and age. Any celebrations and seasons are directly tied to these because they are our only indicators of time.

the signs in the stars were what the shepherds saw originally before they were redirected to the human child in the manger, likewise the magi were observing the stars for signs and this led them to Christ.

i personally am not tripped by pictures of snake watching monkey or monkey saluting gorilla, whats it got to do with me, my emotions are not frozen or psycho like most people here.

i do not need to see photos of animals showing empathy before i know humans are supposed to have that emotion.
