Dubemkelly: Not really convinced in this story, could it be that d sister visited home nd d parents gave her money 4 her brother's schl fees or 2 pay in2 his acct? Nd Uniport shud be in their 2nd semester,I never knew dat dere r some universities whose students can write 1st semester wout paying their schl fees?I guess the parents can clarify this matter. Where are the parents of these boys? We've heard from two of them, where are the other two? Seems one of them lost his mother some years ago, unfortunately. Where is the dad? |
There's a lot wrong with that girl's story and photo. Dont know if she's really his sister or just someone pretending to be. |
sunny4life: Mr benson made a self implicating statement that no aluu person was involved in the act.Inotherwords,he knows those who were involve.WHERE IS THE NIGERIAN POLICE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD?All the council of chiefs and elders ought 2 have been arrested.I sorry 4 this country.Only in nigeria!!!!! |
blexon: Aluu clan dosnt ve a hand he said which ppl constituted the said vigilante that carried out this act?Good question. So they really want it to be business as usual? Amazing. And where were these chiefs when those boys were being murdered? How many unknown victims have been cannibalized in that manner in the place? They have people in the police force, yet they say they were still under siege by armed robbers? Not adding up, sorry. Now, who installed the community chief in question, was it a new post created especially for him and what happened to his predecessor, if there was one. |
Stop being a ghoul. Wetin concern nl with whatever you typed? |
What was the reason for the question? |
Coldfeet: Exactly my thoughts feeding a one year old akpu and ewedu or any swallow isn't really a bad idea just make sure its not too thick! akpu especially, and the soup not peppery! My mother grew up on akpu and ofe ogbankpo! Its copy copy of the west that has made our own food taboo to us.Not sure what food was being referred to, since we do not know what they eat in gambia. And if the food in question is fulani, then it might be milk products or something like tuwo. |
I could be wrong however. |
There's something wrong with the "sister's" story. It sounds somehow fake. Its like she's trying to give the impression the police were the ones who gave the order to kill the students. Either that or there was an intentional typo. And the picture which is supposedly her, doesnt seem like someone who watched her brother being tortured and lynched barely a week ago. |
The cam recording was obviously premeditated and for a purpose, while the phone recordings were chance. The man got up close to each of the boys as they were being beaten, and did not in any way indicate discomfort with what was going on. Clearly, he was one of the killers and working in tandem with them. How do you grab an actual camera to record this type of thing if you didnt plan to do something with it? He was most likely filming for his sponsors who needed to see evidence the boys were physically tortured and killed. |
the video making the rounds wasnt from the animal with the recorder. Its from a phone. dont know if you're being sarcastic but your joke is in extremely bad taste. |
sounds like he already has plenty, and shouldnt need more. you, on the other hand, are very bitter at christians. |
if the lady is from emirates, then she's arab, and the kids are half arab. dont know if they'll visit nigeria or not. Its up to them and/or the mother. |
Selamsweet18: Then, i'm lost in translation here. I couldn't understand a single thing about this particular thread, unlike the other thread about the Igbo. Maybe 'cuz in this particular thread a lot vernacular is being used.@ bolded: its mainly full of insults and crude language, that's why. most yoruba dont bother responding to these types of threads so their detractors simply take up the available space. |
la furia: please tell me how do you want her to convince the mob that her brother is innocent. when the father of one of the victim says his wasnt a theif, a couple of people here says the father doesnt know his soon. i just want know HOW she could convice a crowd that already belief the boys were theives. whatever she does will be seen as just a blood relative attempt to rescue her brother. and beside the mob were illitrate.there are various stories about people who stopped a mob beating at great risk to themselves. Not something that's easy. And the police are the ones who have the basic responsibility in such situations, apart from the various home training received in different kinds of homes. the woman shouting "die "die", for example, will definitely raise her child to be a cold blooded killer with no human feeling. there was a link i posted earlier with a story of how someone saw a thief being pursued by a mob, accuse a bystander of being the thief, just in order to get away quickly. The mob turned on the bystander and nearly beat him to death. They were about to roast him (for food?) when an old woman who lived in the vicinity, came out and begged for his life. he was spared within inches of his life. |
i have my doubts about the lady in that picture being the sister, unless that's an old photo from before the murders. is it possible to witness your brother being killed so gruesomely, and you can still have the presence of mind to pretty up for the camera a week later? ![]() you had the time to choose earring, apply makeup, after seeing your brother being lynched by a mob? i think there's something i'm not getting, or maybe in the culture, you cant look like you're grieving. |
seems aluu is a demobilization camp for ex-militants. were they there? And are there clashes between them and the indigenes? |
Listen in the background.. People were begging them to stop.. If she made a scene.. Shouting help.. Police.. He is a student.. Even strip herself butt Unclad swearing as she can, maybe.. maybe.. it might have been different..cant really wrap my mind around that fact. she said she was scared. . . . but i keep thinking of pocahontas- dont know if that's not realistic since you cant really predict how you'd act in certain situations. its possible she's not his blood (or full) sister, and are they sure they're talking to the right person. just wondering. |
I remember overhearing someone in the video say 'You just pay your school fees yesterday come here dey thief'bloodlust didnt let them reason correctly. all they wanted to do was kill. no plan to let this one pass them by. ![]() |
the police did not give the order to kill the boys. where the police erred was in not rescuing them while they were talking to the mob. they should have called for backup if threatened, and released a couple rounds of tear gas at least. i assume they were told its an internal affair which they should stay out of, since that's how things are done around there. i'm also assuming their boss told them to withdraw. but notwithstanding, they must surely have known the students were going to be killed? |
NSNA: Can somebody please interpret thismuch of what she's saying isnt clear. |
Horus: So it is the police who tell them “burn them alive”?it wasnt the police. that was after the police left the mob. |
Is this the clone version of the other thread talking about who is Igbo?yes. |
They said they were asking them questions, so that they could know their senders. ![]() From what I gathered, the first time I came, they said they were not known; that they were strangers.but by the time they killed them, they were mocking them about school fees. so they did know at some point, that the kids were students. |
@ evil brain yes, some interviewers do ask personal questions, as I'm sure you well know. It depends on the company and also the level at which you're doing the interview. if you feel uncomfortable answering such, then is it a must to work there. Maybe they asked because they already know your stand on religion and wanted to see how you'd answer. not saying its standard practice, but it does happen sometimes. as per the rest of your complaints- I am forced to hear all kinds of jingles and jargons directed at christians by atheists on this forum and you dont see me carrying it on my head. i understand some folks need to offload frustration. |
you are yoruba if you are yoruba. |
Vigilantes have been dealing with thieves for years and decades in that state. Did they make a mistake with these boys? Only time will tell.probably the method has been in error in the past. not like it's stopped thieves so far, anyway. |
. |
Purist: You know they have been crying and unable to sleep because they claimed so on Nairaland?so because you dont believe they did, means they didnt? ![]() you are lacking a vital human quality the absence of which is not good. and why would you assume nl is the only place aware of this matter? this thing has spread all over the world, and you're talking of nl? ![]() |
