S Africans 'as fat as Americans'

Obesity levels in South Africa are the same as in the United States, say doctors at the first international meeting on obesity in Africa.
In South Africa, one in three men are overweight or obese, while for women, it is more than one in two.

But as many people die of malnutrition in South Africa as of diseases associated with obesity.

Miss Fats competition in south africa

"African men prefer large women. You cannot go wrong if you're fat," she said.

But one of the other 21 finalists, Georgina Thupa, aged 25, said her 13st 2lb were nothing but trouble. "I work as a receptionist, and I'm always getting negative comments at work. People are rude. I entered this contest because I think it's not fair of people to tell us we have got a problem. I would like to model clothes for large women because I think we are beautiful," she said.

Please tell them Gbawe. See the way they are whining like spoilt b.i.t.c.h.e.s. It is very unfortunate that innocent people died. I am sure MEND did not want anyone to die, remember they even sent a warning asking people to stay away from cars and trash bins. I do not support innocent people dying but I am sick and tired of the status quo.
you and MEND will perish together.

"These kidnappers are mere gold-diggers, whose resolution and trade ambition is to make easy money and to secure the betterment of themselves alone," he said.
and how do they intend to secure betterment for themselves when a curse is on their heads because of their actions?

In an email sent to NEXT the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) has asked all invited guests for the 50th independence anniversary activities at Eagle Square in Abuja to evacuate the area before 10:30 a.m Nigeria time.

MEND spokesman Jomo Gbomo claimed that several explosive devices had been successfully planted in and around the venue.

He warned that guests should keep a safe distance from vehicles and trash bins.
the guy sent an email?

and he's still walking around freely? huh

my mother told me she couldn’t live with me any longer under the same roof. And that she wanted her husband to herself since I have refused everyman who came my way.

At the time I left five years ago,   the number of men asking for my hand in marriage had almost disappeared entirely.
you lived with your parents till you were 44? huh

there's clearly more here than meets the eye.

anyway, try adoption.

Her account also revealed that her abductors had other people in their custody, one of whom was killed in her presence.
now why are these kidnappers routinely "killing" other people in the presence of certain their abductees?

something fishy's going on.

Islam › Re: Curious About Islam, facts About Islam. by tpiah: 4:15am On Oct 01, 2010
^^you're very paranoid, have grandiose delusions, and seem to think you're the only muslim here.

as per your link- yes, i noticed you had no problem with yaradua until you heard he went to see some pastors.

do you have a problem with other people's opinions? huh

and quit playing victim when you're the one always throwing stones. People see through you.

amazing that you're claiming you're disliked because you're a muslim. That's rich, coming from you.

but if it makes you feel better, then rock on.

since no nigerian or nler has ever seen a muslim before.

Jarus:
I think this thread is better here for many reasons;
- it will generate a lot of issues and you know these trolls, and teh whole thread will turn into another thing
- Ifyalways is a popular person on NL, and I see people attacking her in other parts of the forum because of her change of faith
- Mukina and I will be accused of favouring Muslims because we did not put a similar thread from other religious section
what change of faith? huh

the only so-called "attack" i saw was on the sam milla thread, and that was over a previous issue unrelated to religion.

i'm not aware anyone knows she converted to islam and if she did, why would that be a reason for someone to attack her? huh

you're projecting again, i see.

now, i want to assume her conversion has to do with her partner maybe, and if that's the case, most non-muslims marrying muslims know they might be asked to convert sooner or later?

she's been asking questions about islam for almost a year now, so i doubt most people would be surprised at this.

i know i'm not.

@Ileke-IdI

I guess you are the person who seemed silly and blinded to idiocy in this case because I can not recall to have responded to your post initially. You have referred to me as tribal bigot in post responded to your brother when MaziUche0 informed you to attack babapupa instead.

If it will take the endeavor of another adult to force you to regain mental equilibrium, it is time wasted in futility to engage you in discussion.
just toast her and she'll get off your back.

wish I knew how to report your a$$!

you claimed to police this thread, & now u've turned around to be an abuser urself.

Ileke is a fun & balanced contributor on this forum & you've been prodding her unnecessarily to a 'fight.' what for?
use the report to moderator button like ileke idi told you.

however, show some sense in what you chose to respond to.

you might be better off in romance section perhaps, if your comprehension skills function more suitably there.

Let you tell you a little secret. Ready?

Na plenty Yoruba people dey for Yankee. Many of them refer to themselves as Yoruba-American, just like the Igbo-American, Urhobo-American, even Ngwa-American (dayum, Ngwa-American?) do. Does that make it "right or wrong"?

Now for those Igbo or Yoruba who just arrived, then of course, how can they call themselves the above names in US, UK, or Ireland?
anyway!

lest i forget- if you simply say plain Yoruba man it's even better.

wetin be yoruba american as if the person no know im hometown.
