Did you just write "the kids took a picture as soon as they were found." Double shame on you. Now it is the kids fault. You are proving to be an original block head. Sorry for you. The "kids took a picture"? 3 year old was just released by kidnappers and the first thing he/she did was look for photographers.

Even if you were to excuse the governor and his friends for ignorance, one might say maybe. But you actually are suggesting that nothing is wrong with that photo, not that it was not done out of vested interest!

Nigeria is indeed far from rescue from its real kidnappers, and tpiah is in league with them it seems. Give it up tpiah!
you're just an illiterate and it's actually a waste of time engaging you in a discussion.

NOTHING WRONG WITH THE PHOTO.

END OF.

if it annoys you, JUMP OFF A BRIDGE.
Politics › Re: A Truly Shameful Nation by tpiah: 10:45pm On Oct 03, 2010
^^what are you people not getting here? huh

this kidnapping was high profile and generated a lot of attention  and condemnation from even international groups talkless nigerians.

the kids took a picture as soon as they were found. NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT.

I dont know how to explain the obvious to you lot? huh

they will bath and put on makeup later.

the right thing was done, which was showing everyone the kids were recovered and safe. It's called breaking news which many of you have never heard of before it seems.

a more important question is why are the kidnappers still roaming around free to strike again.

maybe when they kidnap a couple of you your eyes will open.

yorubas say baba njo an bere irugbon. The whole body is on fire you're asking what happened to the beard.

majoring in minors proves what exactly? huh

you'd rather the kids were still in the bush because foreigners will see the picture?

if they see it and so what? Anyone following the story would be aware of what happened.

irrelevant sensitivity.

zayhal:
I wonder too. In fact when I told her she was going overboard to have said such, she accused me of supporting my brother.

But really, I don't think it's worth it. why should I talk about killing someone I call my spouse for whatever reason? I'd rather talk about taking a walk than wishing him dead.
Abeg don't say that o. Some people are very sensitive about such things. An elderly friend was telling me recently when I discussed this with her that her brother's fiancee said something similar, about killing the guy if she saw him with any girl, and the guy quitted the relationship instantly. Even though wedding plans were in progress.
quite weird.

never heard the like.

are you nigerian?  because in a country where polygamy and extramarital affairs are the order of the day, men would only be about 10% of population if these threats were reality.

the important thing is the kids have been found.

the next thing to ask is where are the kidnappers, not why werent the children gussied up as if the miscreants who snatched them took them to disneyworld.

can some of you get a brain.

i hope una dey hear am from the horses mouth now. angry

it seems the most sought after men are, in this order:

1. white men

2. nigerian men

3. other men

ie if you cant or dont have a white man, a nigerian man is the next best option.

regardless if the man is a no good scamming lying yahooyahoo 419er. Dont know what magic some people are attaching to the word nigerian which even actual nigerians arent attaching to themselves.

personally, i have seen good men from different parts of africa and beyond so i dont know where the nigerian fixation is coming from.

Politics › Re: National Assembly Website Hacked . . . by tpiah: 12:33am On Oct 03, 2010
That's the point. You didn't know it existed. Now you know. And every minute it remains this way, the news spreads.
At least one man is taking the fight to them the way he can. That should be commended.
in countries where the internet is used for other things besides 419 and love scams, he'd be cooling his heels in a place where he wouldnt want to be.

Chuks84:
Kudos to the hacker! Its sad to see people castigating this fella, making asinine statements like "who views the website anyway", "he's a jobless juvenile". What you fail understand is that he's just making a statement. Our leaders ought to know that we're watching and we're not keeping silent anymore while they despoil this nation. And best of all, he chose a very harmless way to do so considering the events of yesterday. So instead of sitting on your lazy backsides criticizing one who cares about our nation, try to make a change!
illiterate talk.
Culture › Re: What does the word 'Biafra' mean? by tpiah: 11:13pm On Oct 02, 2010
amazonia:
@ Ezeagu & Tpiah

BIAFRA
BI = Bisection
AFRA = Africa
So. Biafra means equaliterally dividing Africa.
Which implied the middle of Africa Or the
heart of Africa.
This is an English word. Though i am not quite sure,
i am incline to believe this word was coined by the
western navigators or explorers because this word
equally means the EQUATOR. Which is the natural
equallateral bisector of Africa. So this word must have
been used by sailors to indicate the Equatorial latitude
or regions of Africa.
hmm, well, you might be onto something there.

i'll look into it and see if i can find anything.

i'm more inclined to the arabic/spanish/portuguese slant because of the word's history and also the "afar" part.

your explanation makes sense if the english is considered from a latin angle.
