seunfly:Wow....I love reading analysis like this. Thumbs up to you! |
AllahIsSatan:2nd master's degree |
The foremost way to counsel a five year old and indeed most kids (girls especially) under the age of 12 is to build a solid relationship with them first. From there, you can start instilling confidence in them by what you tell them about themselves. Let her see that she is capable, she is strong and she is the best she can be. The more confidence she develops in herself, the more she will feel free with her school mates, the more they'll voluntarily stop giving her wrong appellations because all kids are sensitive. But kids respect other children who are confident, intelligent and energetic. Teach her not to ostracize anyone except they don't want to stay near her. She should just be free but she won't learn all these until she learns them from her most comfortable corner (the home) first. |
Tetrahedron:He surely knows how ti get attention hence his appellate "boda Taye oniyakuya" |
Focusmind:How many of the citizens are actually 'educated' in the real sense of education? What's Nigeria's literacy level? Can educated citizens give birth to millions of children and see them out-of-school? (Nigeria has the highest out-of-school rate in the world. On another hand, professorship is not a title, it's a career ladder in the academic and so, no matter how dishonest you are, if you're in the academic for a long time, you'd become a professor. As for Nigeria, the wrong aspect of our traditional value system has been inculcated into the present system, resulting in the present chaos we're now having. It'll take a new generation of re-oriented mind to start changing the narrative but that still involves getting the least of the citizens properly educated first. Then together, we can fight our dishonest politicians. |
Military0001:You're wise jare.... they're just wasting time and deceiving themselves. |
ezenwaez:Very valid! Thanks |
As long as the likes of Dr Okonjo-Iweala, Madam Alakija, all the brilliant females professors and CEOS abroad and in Nigeria, as long as these category of people are not talking, people should just keep shut. Celebrities display their entire lives for the world to see but they fume when the world judges them. If you don't want the world to judge you, why not live low key? Why should the standard of your living be the same for all the same, diligent and committed Nigerian women out there? |
IKBARUTEN11:To anoint the adultery or fornication you're about to practice Abi? ![]() You better give your life to Jesus (no joking here o) |
hevogan:I think Seyi Makinde's handlers are behind the suit. I kind of support it though. If you want to criticize an administration, do so constructively with facts and not just smearing of names. It's the tactic APC used against Jonathan and everyone now regrets it. Makinde is not perfect but lying against him to score points is totally uncalled for. |
MightySparrow:Yeah...Christ is the one that was never tested but is judged worldwide. To the folk writing stuffs about the Bible, his opinion does not invalidate that of the billions of people who have been devoted to the book thousands of years before Christ and over two thousand years after Christ. A simple reading of Ecclesiastes and Proverbs is enough wisdom even if you're living for a thousand years. So leave the Bible alone till something draws you to it. |
Seebrian:Out of that amount, 875 billion is for recurrent expenditures from the ministry of education alone. How much is then left ti share between UBE and TETFUND. I was happy until I saw that too. |
I just finished my daily language lessons and off I go to my online courses....life is not all about social media. |
GboyegaD:There's nothing that weakens young people than joblessness and hopelessness. So even without the Npower, a lot of graduates are already weak mentally just considering the right situation of Nigeria. |
That's Niger State, the state from where Nigeria derived her name. A state from where there had been two heads of state and it is freely in the hands of Boko-haram. God help southerners especially those who are living like nothing is wrong at all. |
Geeman2006:It's not a religious killing..... it's a killing for fun. The last time we heard, Sheik Gumi was mobbed and lynched for hiding bandits isn't it? Hundreds of imams have been killed in the North for supporting terrorism and banditry. Why won't they kill this pastor because they accused him of hiding a criminal who committed a domestic crime. They must burned his school and church as a consequence too. Isn't that justice? |
Leaforever:You're quite right o.....I don't know her at all but I've been following people's comments on her "she doesn't expose her body....bla bla bla..." All of a sudden, "she's joined bad geng". |
That's the problem with fame. She used the sentiment of "cover body" to get more fame and now that the fame is coming, she needs to "open body" for those without self control to keep looking. It's not easy to be a singer, especially a female singer and more especially, a famous female singer. Fame is far stronger than we think and it takes more than strong will to keep your values when the fame is there. |
![]() I thought the comments were just to derail the thread so I just kept laughing. Somehow, I missed Nairaland thread derailers. |
Everything they understand about STEM is a room full of computers with outdated OSes and components which in less than one year would cease functioning as it's meant to be. And yes, we have STEM centres. Those who would handle the resources are not properly trained, facilities to maintain the resources like internet connectivity and electricity are hardly provided, a good curriculum outlook with sufficient personnel to handle the gadgets, laboratory equipment as well as the students who would use them, are not available. And all this cost hundreds of millions of money which the "government doesn't have". We just keep repeating the vicious cycle! |
post=105990552:Good for them! |
Aderewah:Well....Oyo still has a long way to go judging by how the state began. We shouldn't even be comparing Oyo State with any state in the South East. |
Thank God for Oyo State. South Eastern states will maximize revenue collection for themselves too. It's just a matter of time. |
Warriboy91:Haa... it's a scary something o...I just feel for the little boy. |
Warriboy91:Such a shame! And you're even advertising a business here. An innocent two year old died and you're talking about like and share? We shouldn't lose our humanity to trivialities nau... |
Onyi22:You're just born! As simple as that. What you do with your status later in life is what really matters. |
Yankee101:Justice minister or Nigeria's chief administrator? I think he's the latter. |
kenzysmith:Given Nigeria's present state, don't you think that the dressing there is dope? Do we have just 10 of this in Nigeria? |
expertman:Does primary school Kids' bank account increase corruption? |
Cozbymaster97:Needed a phone urgently in April and money wasn't enough to buy a topnotch phone so I just contacted a phone seller I knew at a popular phone store. He suggested I buy a Tecno Spark go instead of AO2. I didn't like the idea and wanted to wait till I have like 80k but I just bought it. The only thing I've had with the phone since then is the low 32gb storage and I'm getting a MC this week God willing. So the phone is really cool if you're not a heavy gamer. |
Kobojunkie:Okay....just go ahead and do what you He says... |

She's not the SU Christian type o. Her ears alone have like 20 piercings/rings.
