Ryder gets on his horse wolly and heads for Gorgon valley it's been nearly four days since he was last there and Ryder was curious to know what had become of bar victorious Ryder left most of his coins with Mrs. Smithe and is left with 11gc well Gorgon valley isn't a place you go to with alot of money he thought to himself moreover Mrs. Smithe had alot of responsibility to take care of plus he felt he was repaying her for taking care of the bastard every one hated , he still hadn't understood why she loved him so much and now that he was older he felt there was more responsibility on his shoulders. Ryder reaches Gorgon valley it's still early hours of the day he drops his horse by the horse watchers and pays 3gc for the day, he stops by bar victorious and sees that the bar has been closed up obviously the government must have gotten more information from the thugs that were arrested to close up the bar, he stares at the rough sketch of sheriff bruttwane nailed to the entrance of the bar with the writing closed written diagonally across it . He lights a cigarette not knowing whether it's a smart move letting the sheriff take credit for his work .
just as he's in midst of his thought he catches glimpse of a thug signalling other thugs with a nod of the head and he has a gut feeling that he's the one they after he raises his hat a little and takes a look at the thugs in the far distance walking towards his position he immediately recognizes one of the thugs from their encounter at bar victorious , the one whom he incriminated and sent out of the bar , he immediately picked up his pace in the opposite direction if there was one thing he was certain of was that the thug had a gun and a grudge.
Ryder stops in front of a beggar around one corner drops 5gc one after the other onto to beggars plate as the 5th coin hit the beggar raises his head in amazement
"hey you look a bit dirty don't you think" Ryder said
"here you go have my clothing"
Ryder removes his coat in a haste and gives the elated beggar who hurriedly wears the coat in an instant.
" thhhan thank you" the beggar said
"may the God of luck follow you"
"why don't I give you my hat also" Ryder interrupted
"really" said the beggar
"here have it " Ryder said as brought another cigarette and gave the beggar

" here take am sure you'll be needing the God of goodluck more than me" he said while the beggar wore the hat and put the cigarette in his mouth leaning towards Ryder to lit it with a skirmish grin , he looked a little old but his unkept beards where all Ryder was counting on to make the resemblance accurate .
Ahh just perfect Ryder said as he adjusted the hat .
Ryder took to his heels the moment he sighted the thugs pull up in the corner each holding a shotgun.
get him! get him! they shouted, Ryder could hear the voice in the distance he hoped deepdown they wouldn't kill the man Ryder was the type of man who followed his first thoughts to the last letter without second guessing and when he ran into that alley and saw that man his first idea was what he followed
booaaaw!
Ryder heard the gunshot and immediately felt sad , deep down he wished the world he lived in could just change Ryder kept walking while thinking solemly.
Until A little boy beggar with worn out clothings approached him and said I challenge you to a rock paper scissors , the boy brought out a silver coin.
Ryder smiled and said
"if you win I give you 2gc"
the boy elated played along but lost each time they played.
oh well boy you lose
the boy closing his eyes as if to hold tears stretched forth his hand offering Ryder his silver coin.
Ryder moved forward ignoring the boy
then Ryder stopped bent and said
"hey boy take this 2gc, don't gamble it go and eat something" Ryder said while patting the boy head.
"funny how I see a bit of myself in every mischief" he thought to himself. he stopped by a bar
he had just 1gc which will be enough to drink himself to stupor.
he ordered a drink
while thinking of the day his having
it wasn't yet midday and he had spent all his gc already and he hadn't even eaten yet , he was a little sobered up about the beggar that was killed in his place, the beggar sold his life for 5gc and new clothing.
a hand patted him on the shoulder interrupting his reflecting moment.
"hello mister Ryder I have been searching for you"

The Gambler of legend episode 7



Ryder wakes up in a dark forest ,he remembers this forest from his experience some years ago when he was running after pickpocketing a merchant in gorgon valley , he ended up in gorgon valley of the dead . the place where people who died in Gorgon valley where buried by the day and believed to roam by the night, ofcourse Ryder knew it was a dream because he has dreamt about this severally eversince that day but each time he dreams about it he seems to remember something different. This time very close to his path of view he sees a man in dark robe uttering loud magical chants it seems he is fighting the wind Ryder has seen this several times but as he about trying to wake up he notices a figure take shape from the air and transforms into a scary creature so terrifying Ryder thought of waking up but he's curiosity won't let him this time he's remembered something different the creature looked very tall measuring about 7ft it had one hand and no feet it seemed like it was hovering over the earth then it had several short hands in its Belle region all constantly moving as if dancing to a particular rhythm except one which held on to a shining gem which shined so bright. The scary creature spoke like a learned man surely if it was human it won't be from around Gorgon valley cause it's accent was of pure English. "please let me be" it begged the man in the robe . the man didn't reply neither seemed swayed by the plee and kept on with his chants which seemed to have a restricting effect on the beast, the creature suddenly reaches towards the man in the robe with one of the hands in its Belle which stretched out so far and fast but the man in the robe reacts by stretching forth his hand covered in so many rings and it causes a huge ray of light it blinds Ryder for a moment , Ryder reopens his eyes and sees the man standing over the nearly defeated creature whose body lays lifeless on the ground he opens a book and chants some more incantations as it seems the creature is being sucked into the book, Ryder attention shifts towards the shining gem which lays so close to him , "it must be expensive" he thought to himself as he picks it and pockets it. as he pockets it the man in the robe turns and stares directly at Ryder eye to eye , Ryder's frightened and takes to his heels but misses his footing and stumbles down a hill path . Ryder wakes up from his dream with so much fright and sweat on his face and he wonders is there more to this dream the more he remembers the more dangerous it feels but also the more he wants to remember.

Bro your stories are amazing, I could picture shorts , with these stories. Although some of the stories had a weird abrupt end but nevertheless and enjoying it
