I have this Daystar 5kv inverter that doesn't recharge my batteries. I had to get famicare external charger to charge the batteries. I've been using it like this for over one year and no identified issue.
Any advice on what to do to get the inverter to recharge the battery??.

Does that charger really push 50amps at 48volts? Or the amps is inverse to the nominal voltage?

How does it fare with power supply interruption?

Just a note boss, busbars are crucial!
Try and get them with the batteries.. diy busbars are not easy to get in Naija.

Copper tape with suitable thickness drilled appropriately and sleeved if you want is easy to do at alaba. I've DIYed busbars before. It's easy.

I made that comment in 2017 this is 2020 still running on original engine and transmission and struts. Vehicle mileage 108km.

Good car, buy a good one, avoid a Nigerian used one .

Amen! Thanks. Actually installed a dedicated water tank with faucet outlets to supply immediate neighbourhood (potable water is always a problem in the dry season). Only problem is I need to pump water just about daily to meet demand.

Thats beautiful. A more sustainable and robust system would have been a batteryless, automatic dc pump system. So it fills up whenever there is sunlight.... Would last longer i think without much supervision or battery maintenance concerns.

Ok, if he is stringing them up for a 48v system and will be pulling considerable amount of current during usage, the bank will fall faster than 2v strings. From experience.

That's bad. What is he a landlord for if he is unable to provide water for his tenants? He may be excused that of electricity but water, haba! So does it imply that the borehole was only sunk for his use and not for the whole compound?

The house has two tanks of similar sizes. One for him then the rest 7 tenants share the other.

Here i stay, we haven't had power going to a month now. My batteries on a heavily shaded pv system is already taking a hit. I now wake up to around 12.4v.... do you know my landlord who has a solar inverter system big enough to run the sub water pump, only pumps for his tank. And leaves the tenants to go fetch water across the street as he didn't dig a well in the compound.... Neighbors are already relocating and I'm considering it seriously too.

I don't know if this is late.

My advice will be to convert your household equipments to energy efficient ones, get a generator and also a solar system. That way you can be assured of 99% power uptime irrespective of weather or generator issues.... I'm sure some gurus here would have attended to your needs anyways. But, for what it's worth, the company where I work provide power for banks and often achieve up to 99% uptime for them and I'm aware capex are in the range of 20m-25m.
