I understand u bro but rembr too that dollar was once 180. Over there it is affordable.

No right thinking human will buy dat with current dollar rate but rather do with LifePO4 105A. The 190a sef na roughly 95a at 50% DOD.

Who will buy a 12v 190A lead acid battery at 871× 600 dollar rate? That is N522,600 shocked shocked.

So sell based on say probably e "good" not d price posted above.
I get your drift bro, I only posted that because someone made a comment about the price of the used battery.

I think it should go for dirt cheap considering the present condition of the batteries. If that is the case, please seize that golden opportunity. Check the status of like one or two of the packs to have a general idea of what condition the other packs will likely be in.

And I wont mind doing a hanger on on the sweet deal grin, so please remember me in your kingdom.

From my own experience with use of LFP, I have not been able to successfully wake up any pack that the BMS has shut down due to deep discharge. Once the battery shuts off, the MPPT CC input is somewhat compromised. Using a CC requires an initial input of the correct voltage from the battery so that it initializes to a default 12v, 24v or 48v battery input. Then every other thing including the ability to charge falls into place.

Once the battery input is compromised, it tends to shut off charging output by limiting the current from the panels. That's for CCs that have that kind of battery disconnect protection. At least I know that for PowMr.... those array when it is pumping out on sunny days.
HOLUP FAM! shocked does this imply that for normal MPPT cc with adjustable float and absorb voltage, and is used to charge a lithium battery pack, if this sh!t happens say at night, by morning that cc may be toast as soon as the cc gets input with no discernible output right? correct me if I'm wrong pls.

https://youtu.be/37qFHANUr-E tantalizing... But all those metal frames used especially for the local startups will resuce the range of the batt8due to their weight. Aren't there aluminum type metals that can be easily fabricated with good tensile or structural strength?

From some reviews, the basic challenges gradually facing Lithium is the use of less quality cells from most of these Chinko guys.
The quality of these cells is a function of the durability of these battery System.

Is there anyone that would want to get some cells from Alibaba? So we can collabo in the shipping of these batteries to Nigeria. Please any let’s indicate so as to reduce cost
Some guys did a group buy earlier, i think we should get guidance from them. I'm interested although I don't need it atm, but if the price is right I'll buy and keep for future use

NiyiOmoIyunade:
I have used both Lead Acid and Lithium.

Lead Acid I started off with the typical sealed Luminous, Genus, Sinergy which all dissappointed then moved on to Flooded US Battery which also dissappointed then ultimately went for Lithium. When I say dissappointed, I mean they did not all make the promised cycle life despite being used within charge and discharge specs and best practices. For customer installations I used Quanta AGM which did better but mostly still fell short of the expected cycle life.

I ported to Lithium 2018/2019 ish, lived offgrid exclusively off 16 units of Pylontech US2000 - 3 years and several hundred cycles later they are still going strong and no discernible performance degradation, also Lithium allowed me to move from dreading customer calls (once you hear backup time is reducing you know lead acid don dey near end of life) to answering them with my full chest and only getting calls for capacity and feature upgrades and referrals for new business.

There are some use cases where lead acid may be sufficient - when a newbie asks me for advise I always tell them to stay with 12v systems because it gives more stability and longevity. Lithium is almost always a better option but needs a lot more bells and whistles (BMS and balancer circuitry) - I daresay the BMS and balancer is one key reason why Lithium tends to do so well and if one could make a Lead Acid BMS that could balance individual cells, the lead acid story might change a lot.

Really the bane of all battery systems is how to keep cells in series well balanced - whoever solves that problem will greatly extend his battery service life. The Lithium chemistries are mostly superior to lead acid but also a lot less forgiving of mistakes (overcharge/discharge)
I saw this just now on alibaba. https://m.alibaba.com/product/62383990196/DFUN-BMS-System-Battery-Indicator-for.html?__sceneInfo=%7B%22cacheTime%22%3A%221800000%22%2C%22type%22%3A%22appDetailShare%22%7D&from=Android
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Trippledots(m): 7:26pm On Aug 01, 2022
SLA vs Lithium! Lol.... I'm not siding any particular chemistry but just stating my experience below.

Where I work, we install largely 2v/1000ah batteries in 48v configuration and we try to follow the 50% discharge rule. However, there are times when all backup charging systems fail, at that point, the remaining 50% capacity that is hardly used becomes some sort of extra juice to keep systems running for some extra time before charging starts_often times this is a system glitch that requires some manual intervention... I just like the idea that 50% of your capacity is there like a reserve tank for critical situations.

Please can you keep me posted aswell? Im house hunting too around thise areas and epileptic power supply has dealt with me these few years where i stay at igando

Also looking for a self con in another part of Alimosho with good electricity. Based on research so far, Igando light seems to be stable now. I just can’t say how long it’ll remain stable.

I’ve lived in Egbe all my life. The light was very good until about 2months now that Nepa started showing their true colors. Now we have light for like 6-8hrs a day unlike before when we do have uninterrupted electricity for 4 days straight.
I’m speaking for Liasu Road and other areas like Agodo using “ 33 electricity”

Self con here depends on the Area and the newness of the house but you’ll see a decent one for 250k
At egan, fatoki in igando can't boast of 8hourse power supply in a week. Abeg which igando has stable light? I'm currently searching for house at liasu and agodo because of good power supply. Please os it now bad there?

This thread is so refreshing to read mostimes.. cool it's well, na money be sweet soup.

Please house, What 3.5kva or 1.5kva inverter will be recommended for a remote installation?
I'm seriously considering a hybrid one with mppt CC inbuilt, but I'm skeptical about redundancy in the system. In essence how robust or rugged are these hybrids?...should anything go wrong, batteries are left lonely till the inverter is repaired or replaced.

Also price wise which is cheaper, given all other factors being equal.

PS: Advices based on experience will be really appreciated.

Recently installed a 5.5kwh Smk hybrid on and off grid inverter system coupled with 4 units of 12v 200ah blue carbon lithium ion lifepo4 batteries and 8 450watts mono solar panels. Everything seems fine, but the only downside is that my 9kva firman 12990esr generator can’t seem to charge it. So far only the solar and Nepa light have been able to charge it. But with the raining season on full mode and epileptic power supply, I really need the generator option. My installer said my generator frequency isn’t enough, this is a generator that comfortably powers my 3hp inverter standing AC and 1.5hp inverter AC. What can I do pls? So far from the inverter screen, my gen produces btw 275 -285v and btw 48 - 50.5hz. Shouldn’t this be enough to charge the battery?
Why is your gen producing such high voltage?!... And an installer that tells your your gen isn't "producing enough frequency" without checking your gen frequency? I doubt the competence of such an installer tbh.

I think your generator should not exceed 240v, check the input voltage range of your inverter. The frequency of the gen looks ok to me.
