I'm not sure cleaning panels is a good idea unless it is in an easily accessible place where you can clean them regularly. In not more than 2 weeks, the dust would have piled up again.

Harmattan season is here again

Some installations might go under in coming months, while some with forward thinking owners or system managers sort for ways to prevent their investments depreciation.

Recent survey has it that "solar system loses about 30% of power production due to debris, bird poo, decaying leafs, and dust"

Be forward thinking today and request for a system check up and maintenance

Big money men and organisations need to consider REIT.

Real Estate Investment Trust in Nigeria.

We have just three in Nigeria and that is quite meagre for the population.

UPDC REIT with residential and commercial property worth over N28 billion and N4 billion in liquid assets.

Union Homes REIT with residential and commercial property worth over N10 billion and N500 million in liquid assets.

SFS REIT with residential property worth over N2 billion and N400 million.

I have a million units of UPDC REIT and paid me a rental income of 580k last year..

I hope more private equity Investors with billions of Naira investible funds will consider massive real estate investments provided rental income will pay back the amount invested in less than 15 years

I just hope it won't be in vain....thanks.

Lithium are not supposed to float. It is bulk and then stop. The idea of a float charge is to account for lead acid self discharge which is minimal for Lithium. The recommendation is to set your bulk, absorption, float and equalization voltages at the same value which depends on how you want to drive your battery. I set everything to 55V for my system 16s batteries. You set equalization voltage at float as double security since equalization will rapidly destroy lithium. You must disable equalization on your charger also.

Felicity has 16 cells.

I use node red and a contactor to cut off my inverter on lithium at 50V. I have not really looked into hardware LVD. Others may advise.

Depends on the materials to be used, location

Morning guys, please I need answers to these questions

1. What can you say about Afripower and Eastman inverters as regards durability and idle power consumption?

2. Also how good are NXT index batteries? (lifespan following at most 50% DOD) Compare it with Quanta batteries.

durodee:
What is the input voltage from the grid? Hope it's not 160v like in my area?

I rather do DIY than buy some of these fancy lithium packages. I first learnt about lithium on this group 10months ago and started researching and getting all the devices I needed gradually. Last week able to setup my 15s120p. 230Ah tested.
With plans for 5 rows of 15s expansion.
At least I know what am dealing with.
Covid 19 Lockdown helped sha.

The best you can expect is for your replacement inverter to consume 10 to 15watts idle. Are you really going to buy a new inverter to save 10watts per hour? 240wh per day?

Trippledots:
Ojukokoro will not kee me...

So I saw a deal of an Eastman 850va, 12v inverter and 2×100ahr Double tech batteries few months used, for less than 120k.

I grab am, because reason for disposal was due to system upgrade of the previous owner.

Well, I just took delivery and I discovered that the self consumption, on no load is about 25watts!

Summary of this message be say, I WAN SELL ONLY INVERTER O....I never even install am yet.

Asking prize is 45k. (Slightly negotiable)

INVERTER has LCD screen, shows real time load percentage, inbuilt charger, etc etc.

Reason for my own disposal is that, my system is very small, my 600Wp PV installation is also heavily shaded and this inverter will simply be wasting energy for me...

Hit signature let's talk.

Thanks so much

Hmm that's a new one, you may want to provide further explanation is it possible for instance to sell a 48v as 24v? That will be obvious to the buyer isn't it
