milehigh06: had not seen yours b4 i typed mine,my experieence was similar to this and I would also go to bed with a tasbir,quran and bible just to be safe and it really reduced after taht but still would occur when I was not with them but it totally stopped mysteriously when i moved from where I was staying

Agrika: Sadly...this is more spiritual than our scientists could ever admit...mine started as far back as 2007...it was so bizarre,...i have long cultivated the habit of waking up by 11pm and reading up to 3am...so i usually sleep around 3.30 am, now these "attacks" usually take place around this time, it was as if something was waiting for me to lie on the bed so that it could "prounce" me,..... It usually begins with a sound of a strong wind violently blowing in my ear, then followed by a sensation of being "dragged" out of ur body....most times i could be uttering "blood of Jesus!" holy ghost fire etc in my mind....the one that really sent the message home that this was not ordinary was the day i was sleep "paralysing" and i could swear by my grandfather's grave that someone or something was lying on top of me...i later slept and i dreamt i saw long dark fingers at the edge of my bed....and the worst thing of all was i came from a family who dont believe in the existense of "supernatural beings"...being staunch catholics they were only limited to thier hail marys and all that..failing to realise the power that lies within those prayers, if prayed in earnest and with purpose.....Sometimes i could stay upto an hour in bed, to observers i may look asleep but deep within me i was struggling to wake up, it got to an extent that i could wake up at night and become hysterical, shouting at no one in particular....to cut the over-long story short...i took praying the rosary and also prayed and read the Psalms at midnight, and the whole thing ceased, the last time such type of experience "nearly" occured again was last month, but i "commanded" it to stop #Nwa Jesus Tinz lol!# ....mind you i took up that iniative on my own, my parents were still doubtful about the existence of supernatural beings...until a family member was delivered from the marine and serpent kingdom...live in front of my Dad, he saw a young 18 year old girl speaking in an authoritative grand male voice...nobody tell am make him believe by force.....so my dear carry prayer pursue that ur paralysis, speak to your situation!

tell me more about this water and marine kingdom and how did your dad see a girl in front of him and explain the male voice...

Sorry to disappoint u I'm not an atheist and I sure do not see any reason spiritual solution should be the first thing that comes to mind when I'm confronted with something I don't understand. We live in a logical world. All the spiritual assertion regarding this issue is just illogical. Feranchek: nne u're not d only it happened or is happening 2. i actually experienced same tin wen i was bout 15-17yrs of age. i wouldn't say itz normal though. in my own case, it got 2 a point daht I became soooo scared of going 2 bed. anyway, all i'll advise is 4 u 2 sleep on ur tommy buht most importantly, remove eery aota of fear in u and just go 2 bed peacefully (afta ur regular nyt prayers sha).............o ga dimma

Its nothing to worry about. I've witnessed this a number of times such that I can actually induce it if I want. At the initial stage I used to hear voices, very distinct voices. I once heard a voice during one of those episode says if not fr TB Joshua he would have killed me. That got me really distressed. But now sleep paralysis don't bug me no more.

U would come to understand that sleep paralysis is in tandem with OBE (Out of Body Experience) and basically harmless. It is like a first step in the process of experiencing OBE phenomenon, like the first door to a more spiritual experience.

When next u experience it just free urself, mind. If u do, at some point u will feel something trying to leave ur body, There is no mistaking that feeling it is a resounding feeling that cld get u scared. If u do get scared struggle within like ur struggling to stay awake. At this point, u will either wake up, or start the process of u trying to leave ur body.

Trust me it's natural for human to experience this and it is very harmless, too. Try it, free ur mind and come back to tell ur experience.

NB: it is also a way the brain try stopping the body from waking up b4 it.

the question is who is projecting your "spirit" into the astral realm and where is he taking you to? when you say the brain, who impacts and influences the "members" in your brain

I'd be awake, hear what is being discussed. I'd try to reply but i cant speak. I'd try to move but its impossible. At first, i asked myself, "Lord, is this how it feels like when people are about to die?" I even said my last prayers, lol... But it has stopped.
I dont know the cause but its not a good experience. Its like your spirit feels trapped in your body and not being able to move or talk.

even me wey i strong thru the Spirit when i walk in my flesh,i experience bizarre experience in between sleep,imagine a force making you bite your tongue only to wake up to see that you have a sore on your tongue,like i said the Spirit or the Flesh quickens the body

Then I thought I may be dreaming, but my mother and uncle were chatting in the living room and I could hear every word they were saying. Things got worse when I felt the presence move closer, and then felt a bite on the fingers of my left hand. I wanted to jump up and scream but I could neither move nor speak. I was lying on my back.

No, I wasn't drunk, and I wasn't dreaming. It was real. A few minutes later I fell asleep again, and then woke up - this time, I woke up normally.

That very day I researched it online, and realised that several people around the world have experienced similar, bizarre encounters. Many recommended saying a word of prayer (in your mind, if you can't speak). I hope it never happens to me again, but if it does, I'll say a word of prayer.
