Bidam: frosbel scam has been exposed for all to see. he actually got this disjointed u-tube video from an unchristian website...if you watch the tail end of the video you will see them quoting pagans like Diogenes and Euripides...let me quote them for all those that did not watch the video(Kenneth hagin and Copeland):"most men are within a finger's breadth of being mad"-Diogenes. "whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad".. Euripides Greek tragic dramatist(484bc-406bc). these are quotes from unbelievers who don't even know God talk more of understanding the operations and manifestations of the HOLY SPIRIT...frosbel is just a scam artist used as a willing tool in the hand of the devil to propagate falsehood.U might be correct. A good follower of Frosbel's post, thread and responses shows dat he is not a xtain at all but might be a wolf in sheep's clothing. Even the devil can quote the bible dan anyone on nairaland. So its no big deal if frosbel can quote the bible, written in simple english, very well. When u post a christian bashing website (written by anti-xtains or atheist) as a reference to counter a xtain congregation, den u r obviosly one of dem. Sagamite: Really? He plays better than Okocha?Good. My broda i hav had the opportunity of watching both players play. And any person dat started following nigerian football frm, at least 1987, will undertsand. He is the first (or among the 1st nigerians, to giv an element of doubt) to play professional football in europe. At dat time football in not so lucrativ as it is now but they play great football. Okocha is a great player of course. I consider okocha a good replacement for okwaraji in terms of influence in the team and creativity in the midfield. U can get a clip of nigeria/cameroon final of maroc '88, u wont argue again. |

I'm on phone so i cant access the video. While i dnt endorse 'fake miracles and signs', we need to be mindful of unwarranted criticism especially on spiritual matters. The best i do is dat i dnt go to a place i feel unconfortable with their interpretation of scriptures or 'doubtful miracles'. |

My late mother occassionally appear in my dreams giving me the same advise she used to giv me while she was alive. The last one i saw her she told me dat pple tot she is dead, but dat she is still alive. That was dis week monday. There are so many things happening that a physical man can never fully understand. Our knowlegde is vry limited wen it comes to certain issues about life and existence. Life is full of mystery. Tho' i hav not seen a ghost before but close friends hav confirmed seeing dem. To me the difference between man and ghost could be the dead and the living. |

If all the disciples of Jesus are evil because we have a Judas among dem den i doubt the way u examine things. Barristers pasted a long column of scandal commited by a man or some at Asseblies of God church hence his benchmark for accessing the general lifestyle of the church and its doctrine. Is dat logical frm ur point of view? I hav fellowshiped with JW, hav u been to assemlies of God church before? This thread is not opened to castigate an organization but to see scriptures concerning an issue of which 98% of the christian world says Jehova's witness is wrong (with supports of the bible) and ur only defense is to castigate another church. plappville: True2god respect herself wen I gave her/,him a free leave from my thread he was about to derail this morning. He is known for this act now....always out of topic...I am always busy and i visit nairaland only at my spare time. I have a lot to do and achiev, so nairaland is only the last place i visit whenever im free and bored. FYI, im a man and not a woman. I say and i repeat, stop twisting/misquoting/misinterpretin the bible. Jesus christ is not an angel. Dis is not the view the founder of Jehovah witness (russel) had on the person of Jesus. If ur founder can be wrong by having a wrong perception of the person of christ (cos he neva believed he is an angel), den wat was ur organization's doctrine built on? Is it dat u dnt trust or accept most of his teachings, or are u trying to defend his errors by tellin me that the current leadership of JW are getting (or had gotten) a new light? If ur organization keep changing doctrines frm time to time (errorneously teaching the light is getting brighter), wat is the assurance dat they wont change the current beliefs in ten yrs time wen anoda light becomes brighter? Is ur organization consistent with bible beliefs/teachings? Is there always rooms for modifications of doctrines anytime it seems convenient for dem to do dat? A mind dat is not dogmatic always ask questions anytime he seems confused. But wen a mind is in doubt and hold teniosly to his traditional belief system, den that mind is not open to changes/learnings. I hav more experience in the activities and modus operadi of JW dan u. Thats nevertheless not wat im here to argue or proof. But my question to u is dis, all the current teachings/beliefs of JW, dont u tink some might be modified, or jettisoned all together, in ten yrs time? |

Kudos to the moderator for sanitizing Nairaland dis 2013. No room for e-tribal war, e-hatred, and e-stupidity. If pple dnt have any reasonable contribution to make, their post should be hidden. Rich4god: Bottomline is... God created everything in this world, and everything he created is for His own glory. Nothing that he created that is bad except if you want it to be bad. That my igbo ancestors dedicated their yam to any gods/idol/diety during their new yam festival does not make me a pagan when i offer yam as an offering in church. That sango priest wore a yellow wrapper to his shrine does not make me a pagan if i wore a yellow wrapper to church on my child dedication. That muslims wore turban and "tazarce" to their mosque does not make me a muslum when i wear one to church. That any pagan worshipper dedicated iroko tree to their idol does not mean that i am indulging inpaganism if i make use of iroko tree as medicine or anything. Its what you do or how you do it that matters. So plz, spare me all that christmass and idol worship relationship. As long as i have been following this thread, you guys have not provided why xmas is paganism, all you keep saying is that pagans did this or did that. During dec period many companies decorate their buildings, repaints, change furnitures, give hampers to customers and friends all in d name of xmas and yet some pple are not happy. They claim xmas lite, xmas tree, xmas hampers and gift, xmas carrol are all pagan in practice and yet dis same critics cannot open a thread dat condemns boko haram bombing of churches durin xmas. To dem bombin and destruction during xmas in no issue, their headache is y pple are celebrating and showing love for xmas sake. Na waoooo. I believ pple should hav a more positiv way of seeing and judgin things as it goes in the world, especially wen no civil disturbance is not tolerated and social order is maintained. In order word pple dat r celebrating xmas now are worshipin idol cos ur organization now paganizes xmas. While Russel, Rutherford and co dat celebrated xmas some 60 to 80 yrs ago will be ressurected afta armagedon, the xtains celebrating now will not be ressurected cos ur organization now sees it as a pagan stuff. Is dat logical? Who made u or ur org jugde over the pple of God? Tell me a single place u see any libation, sacrifice, incantation is bein made durin xmas (aside frm picnickin, observing holiday, resting at home, visiting friends etc).
