ogbeni, even rilwayne001 explained this to you months ago. Shia prayed 5 prayers sir cheesy you are looking for unsuspecting folks to fool. Ain't gonna work cheesy
See links on how many times the Shi'a and the Sunnis pray:

www.differencebetween.net/miscellaneous/difference-between-shia-and-sunni-namaz/

www.prayertimenyc.com/muslim-shia-prayer-times/

shiastudies.org/article/shi-a-prayer-rituals

I didn't write the articles above but Muslims do. Why are Muslims confused on this matter. I think its because the Koran didn't provide the necessary guidance with respect to the number of times Muslims should pray in a day.

Good! You are now showing signs of learning...

The Quran is the GUIDE of all Muslims and Islam.
It contains almost all we need to be on the RIGHT PATH.
However, you can't expect it to contain step by step description (if that is the case, it will be taller than 6ft in size) because it covers almost everything. That is where the MESSENGER comes in. That's is what all prophet of Allah including Jesus was sent to do, to demonstrate and teach people how to be on the RIGHT PATH(siraato li mustaqqim). If the Qur'an tells us to Pray. It is the messenger that will teach and demonstrate HOW TO, WHEN TO, WHERE TO WHY TO WHO TO pray to. Same thing to all other concepts in the Quran. If you wish to learn more, drop your 3in1 and embrace Islam. wink

Note the capitalized and bolded!
You never still establish, from the Koran, where allahh asked Muslims asked Muslims for a 5 times daily prayer. And FYI, the Shi'a official numbers of daily prayer is 3/against the shia 5. Who is right, the Shi'a or the Sunnis?

Your question
are the ayah below part of the Sharia laws: NO.

I know where you are drifting to, continue... You still have a CATCH22 over you! grin grin grin
So you can pick what you want from the Koran to make up your 'make believe' sharia law? No, thats not acceptable. The sharia law is the made up Koranic instructions, the sunnah of your prophet and the ways of the sahabas. As a matter of fact, the Quran made a very insignificant contribution to the Islamic school of jurisprudence and the making of the sharia law itself. Stop deceiving yourself.

Go back and ask your Islamic teacher and stop being deceptive.

The Five Compulsory prayer in the Quran:

The Holy Qur'an, Surah 30: Al Rum 17 says:

In the Tafseer of this Aayah:
“Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): ‘So glorify Allaah when you come up to the evening’ is maghrib and ‘isha’; ‘and when you enter the morning’ is fajr; ‘in the afternoon’ is ‘asr; and ‘the time when the day begins to decline’ is zuhr.” Other mufassireen, such as al-Dahhaak and Sa’eed ibn Jubayr said the same thing.

Some of the mufassireen said that these aayat mention only four of the prayers; ‘isha’ is not mentioned here, but it is mentioned in Soorat Hood, where Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “… and in some hours of the night…” [Hood 11:114]

Drink is to be avoided for our own benefits:
I am sorry bro, you never show me any place, in the Quran, where allahh asked you to pray 5 times a day. I don't need your conjectural and hypothetical response. Show me where the Koran mandated you to pray 5 times a day.

I got no time for your 'summary' quotes, they are deceptive and disingenuous. I asked you simple questions and you ended up listing all these 'half- quotes'. I asked you to show me where it is written, in the Qur'an, the punishment for adultery, drinking and stealing, but you rather laboured yourself with irrelevant quotes. If I say you lacked the ability to comprehend a simple question, will I be faulted?

Anyway that aside, are the ayah below part of the Sharia laws:

Qur'an 9:29:
Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture - [fight] until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled.

Quran 8:39:
And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is all for Allah. But if they cease, then lo! Allah is Seer of what they do.

Quran 8:60
And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know [but] whom Allah knows. And whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.

Quran 5:33,
Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land. That is for them a disgrace in this world; and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment.

to teach me Islam, you will have to go back to primary scholl to learn simple sentence, you are even finding it hard to string words together to form a legif readable sentence..
Adultery, Drinking alcohol, going to hajj, praying are all mentioned in the Quran... But the PRACTISE( how to do it, where to do it, when to do it why to do it) were done by the prophet to show how to implement them and so recorded in the hadith... If the sharia doesn't comply with the Quran, it is INVALID...
I am not sure your Islamic teacher, who taught you the basics of Islam, could speak a very good english before he was able to brainwash you with Islamic teachings. Fluency in english language is not an important criteria to make a very good Islamic scholar/teacher. So forgive my bad english, it is not my mother tongue.

Not to derail the thread, I asked you show me the punishment for drinking and adultery as contained in the Quran. Please also show me where it was written in your Koran that you must go for hajj. Also show me, from your Koran, where it is written that you must pray 5 times a day.

To make my points clearer to you, if the hadith is segmented into an authentic, a weak and a fake hadith, then we can conclude that the entire hadith is not reliable hence a useless piece of document fashioned by the Arabs for their imperial ambition. It is not a rocket science that is hard to understand, it is common sense.

If u say you are unreliable, does that mean you are useless??

Less I forget, you are still in my catch22... Don't try to ignore...you are still in it..
I will respect you by not saying that you lack simple logic. If a maths teacher gives you an unreliable text book to prepare for an exam, will you accept such text book or reject it? Of course you will reject it which ultimately renders such a text book useless. What is in the reliability of a material which is not authentic, confusing, contradictory and full of fabrications?

If I give you an AC manual which is not clear and very contradictory as a consumer, is it reliable? No. Is the manual useless, Yes. So I dont know if you do basic logic in school. Or are you a secondary school pupil? And Fya, I left the university over 8 years ago, not to be proud bro.

To buttress your point, if the hadith is not reliable then it is a USELESS reference material.

yea... We were nor asked to make app of the Quran also.. your logic is amazing..
Sorry bro if my points sound strange to you, your imams and sheiks with never tell you the truth. The Koran is not Allah or Mohammed's idea but the brainchild Abu Bakr and Omar. See the hadith below:

sahih bukhari Volume 6, Book 61, Number 509 :
Narrated by Zaid bin Thabit
Abu Bakr As-Siddiq sent for me when the people! of Yamama had been killed (i.e., a number of the Prophet's Companions who fought against Musailama). (I went to him) and found 'Umar bin Al-Khattab sitting with him. Abu Bakr then said (to me), "Umar has come to me and said: "Casualties were heavy among the Qurra' of the! Qur'an (i.e. those who knew the Quran by heart) on the day of the Battle of Yalmama, and I am afraid that more heavy casualties may take place among the Qurra' on other battlefields, whereby a large part of the Qur'an may be lost. Therefore I suggest, you (Abu Bakr) order that the Qur'an be collected." I said to 'Umar, "How can you do something which Allah's Apostle did not do?" 'Umar said, "By Allah, that is a good project. "Umar kept on urging me to accept his proposal till Allah opened my chest for it and I began to realize the good in the idea which 'Umar had realized." Then Abu Bakr said (to me). 'You are a wise young man and we do not have any suspicion about you, and you used to write the Divine Inspiration for Allah's Apostle. So you should search for (the fragmentary scripts of) the Qur'an and collect it in one book)." By Allah If they had ordered me to shift one of the mountains, it would not have been heavier for me than this ordering me to collect the Qur'an. Then I said to Abu Bakr, "How will you do something which Allah's Apostle did not do?" Abu Bakr replied, "By Allah, it is a good project." Abu Bakr kept on urging me to accept his idea until Allah opened my chest for what He had opened the chests of Abu Bakr and 'Umar. So I started looking for the Qur'an and collecting it from (what was written on) palmed stalks, thin white stones and also from the men who knew it by heart, till I found the last Verse of Surat At-Tauba (Repentance) with Abi Khuzaima Al-Ansari, and I did not find it with anybody other than him. The Verse is: 'Verily there has come unto you an Apostle (Muhammad) from amongst yourselves. It grieves him that you should receive any injury or difficulty..(till the end of Surat-Baraa' (At-Tauba) (9.128-129) Then the complete manuscripts (copy) of the Qur'an remained with Abu Bakr till he died, then with 'Umar till the end of his life, and then with Hafsa, the daughter of 'Umar.

Do you accept or reject the above hadith?

So let's keep playing games undecided
I won't mind giving you a free Islamic lecture, it is part of my contributions to humanity. Let's read Quran 65:4:

And those who no longer expect menstruation among your women – if you doubt, then their period is three months, and [also for] those who have not menstruated. And for those who are pregnant, their term is until they give birth. And whoever fears Allah – He will make for him of his matter ease.

The ayah above talked about the waiting period before a divorced woman an remarry. In Islam and Arab culture it is 3months. I will like to look at the three categories of people listed in the ayah above, and they are:

1. Women that no longer see their menstrual period, that is women that have entered menopause.

2. Pregnant women

3. Women who have never experienced any form of menstruation. The third category is my area of interest. What age bracket can we find in this category? This is between the ages of 0-12 years. So a woman between this age bracket can be divorced, according to Qur'an 65:4. I am not the one making this claim, it is in the Quran. If this is verse does not encourage pedophilia what does it encourage?

And to make it clearer to you, Mohammed engaged baby Aisha when she was 6 and started sleeping with her when she was 9. It is in your sahih Muslim and sahih bukhari.

Which Qur'an are you talking about, is it the one you have at home? Bros don't get it twisted, Mohammed didn't ask his sahabas to compile all his alleged revelations as a book and publish it as a standard religious text. When Abu Bakr suggested the idea to Omar, he was sceptical about it and the hadith called the current Quran 'Abu Bakr's project' and was executed by uthman.

Did allahh asked Abu Bakr to compile the Quran? Was Abu Bakr also inspired by allahh?

she can preach to unbelievers but in a church gathering, she can't teach.
If she can't preach in a church, can you show me a bible verse that says a woman can preach to unbelievers only but not believers?

Habaaaa my bro, thats very offensive, responsible people may mistake you for a troll, and this may lead to a non benefitial, insult filled argument....!!!
But the bill board did not contain anybody "s religion or name. Any conclusion on whom the person might be is still speculative unless you have a preconceived idea of what the message is all about.

@True2god: Longest time bro, but personally to me, with your level of knowledge, intelligence and exposure. I believe you are bigger than what you posted up there. ( Its just based the personal respect I have tho.....!!!)
At times we need to relax the mood in the house and apply a good sense of humour. That aside, does the bill board speaks of someone you are familiar with?

Answer my question, stop circumventing: I repeat:

Why should men be head of women at home when the same women will rule with them in heaven? Gods arrangement is that women not exercise authority over a man or teach in the congregation.
But a woman can give you injection at the hospital, in your buttock. Hypocrite!

Why don't you reject a female nurse giving you injection on your buttock, while you smile in pain? Go and read the genesis why Paul gave that instruction to the early church then you will understand better. If you are familiar with Paul's epistles, he, in various occasions, let us understand that some instructions he gave, to the early church, are his personal advise/opinion without the leading of the Holy Spirit.

You need to understand that there was a great controversy concerning the role of women, in the early church, that made Paul to come up with that epistle. While I never condemned apostle Paul's advise on this matter, you have to understand the circumstances behind every epistle. In Saudi Arabia, they hire only women as midwives but in Europe most midwives are men, why? That's cultural and social differences and that does not make Saudi Arabia or Europe better.

What is the spiritual consequence of a woman leading a Christian congregation? Can you state some? Are you saying God wil never answer a prayer session led by a woman?

You are ill-informed.
I have read and analyses hundreds of JW magazines, especially Awake! and watchtower, and hardly will any edition comes out without any form of Christian bashing, either doctrinally or philosophically. Can you mention any single such edition of the magazines I mentioned that has zero Christian bashing?

You guys will never try that with Islam because they won't accept your bashing and will physically treat your technical intolerance in a violent way. This is a simple fact that your governing body understand.

A pastor is a Shepherd, and women are not reckoned as such in the bible, so why do some churches have female pastors. Does it mean that they don't read the bible?

Why are JW obsessed with Christians but will never say anything against Islam or any other religion? Why are Christians the problems of JW?

Let's just say you upset bcus your religion does not have qualities that islam has. The reason I am even relunctant to respond to you is that, you have long been with muslims here and you can not effectively defend your religious practices and creed. Hence, you are not qualified to point accusing fingers at islamic text. Your partner plainbibletruth already messed up. For that reason, none of you qualified to reprimand islam.

The only favor i can do for you is that, you need to first all study your religion. You have no established and obligatory way of worship prescribed by Jesus you claimed to follow. In that case you are wasting your precious time with me unless you want me to keep takingyou for a ride undecided which i am good at.
I, upset? What qualities do Islam have? Is it religious intolerance (Quran 9:28)? Is it the sanctioning of pedophillia (Quran 65:4)? Is it the promotion of enmity and hatred (Quran 5:51)? Is it the sanctification of terror (Quran 2:171-2, sahih Bukhari 4:52:220)?

If the above are good qualities then Islam is a stupid religion for the early men.

So someone asks you whats Jesus's religion and you say "Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Interesting!

And you want to teach me islam?. You are a joke. You make NO SENSE
I believe you have learnt so many things, about Islam, from the kuffar on NL.
