I believe more than ever before in this country - criminals, assassins, and politicians now have what to hide behind after perpetrating their devilish chores. Everything is easier blamed on BH than investigated. You can't rule out other evil elements at work in some cases in this whole crisis just that police shallow investigations can't unravel this fact. BH has successful killed both politicians and non-politicians, male and female, Muslims and Christians - saying they always miss politicians after GMB escaped an attempt on his life is impertinent. You are trickily wishing the man died or at least BH should have at least succeeded this time.

For all I care it was an assassination attempt on the people's General and if one want to go by your "conspiracy theory" I can say GEJ's snipers are already in town. I can say that just like Gen. Azazi who spelt out PDP to mean Book Haram died after saying the obvious truth GMB was also targeted because of his last article. I can say it was planned to be car bomb to be blame on Book Haram just to get the general off reckoning in 2015.

what happened pre elections has an impact post election hope u agree with me. From Buhari statement of planes of thumb printed ballots, calling of Yoruba leaders Vagabonds by GEJ, making violence inevitable of Atiku of PDP then, to we are sinking together by GEj, to the PDP member and 2nd republic governor of Kaduna's making govt uncomfortable, to the refusal of Buhari's advert on state tv, to Jona not allegedly not allowing the north complete their term, to the alleged agreement btw tinubu and jona is a country that need to move forward.
What happened during the post election violence is well documented as it was submitted by committee instituted by GEJ but it find is not in tandem with what can be use as a political tool so its buried. the leaks shows that even CPC members suffered from the ramping youths. Its just bore out of followership and love although wrongly displayed.

The order of the day became Slaughtering of non Northerners, bombing of the car parks, churches, bars, where they mostly use, waylaying and slaughtering those who manage to escape their bombs on the high way! While Mosques and their religious and traditional leaders convoys miraculously are always saved!
This has by far degenerated now to anyone (including their own) who opposes their mission to distablize the country.

Why then will people not begin the discussion and defense along religious and ethnic line??

Ask yourself why till now this govt has not accepted APC call for an international investigation into the real sponsors of BH - because they see it has a political tool a means to dislodging and discrediting the same opposition they celebrate as a centenary achievement.
