I have stayed in Lagos and I served in Kano. I do not claim to know every nook and crany of both states. But I believe there are Nairalanders who know better. I am worried because I kept wondering why Kano state has 44 local governments and Lagos state 20. In addition, in my opinion, Lagos is far more populated than Kano but figures we have put both states at about the same population. Even at that, why would Kano have more than twice as much LGAs than Lagos.

Please, I need your objective opinions.

I don't agree. Any candidate of APC will win Atiku. All the southern Governors want the presidency back to the south. And the vote in the north will be divided because of the new party coming in from Kwakwanso.

Former Presidential spokesman and best-selling award winner, Reno Omokri has in an interview with Arise TV, shed more light on the possible circumstances that led to for PDP Vice Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, quitting PDP even as a Presidential aspirant.

According to Reno Omokri, Peter Obi left PDP to avoid being disgraced at the PDP Presidential primary election scheduled for today, May 28. He emphasized that Peter Obi is not on ground in the Anambra PDP, hence he indeed stood no ground of going far in the race if he was indeed going to aspire under PDP for President ahead of the 2023 polls.

Reno Omokri mocked Peter Obi’s choice of Labour Party as the new party upon which he wants to continue his political career and 2023 presidential ambition.


Reno Omokri said the Labour party does not have a national structure upon which Peter Obi can win the 2023 polls. Furthermore he made it clear that Peter Obi’s policy ideologies don’t align with the ideology of the Labour Party.

Whichever, he still has to go to court. I am not a lawyer but the judiciary is still the last hope. He has a right to fair hearing.

I tried transferring money from my GTB account only to get error messages.

I thought it was network or app issues.

I tried several times from then till next day but same response.

I tried buying airtime but it failed too.

I now contacted the bank and they said account is restricted/frozen; that I should visit a branch.

I called account officer and he confirmed the restrictions but gave no reason for that.

He was just evasive but hinted that restrictions were placed by law enforcement agency. No agency specifically was mentioned.

I tried UBA and Zenith too, similar restrictions yet no reason.

I use the accounts for legit businesses online and have had them since over 14 years, so can't say with certainty what the issue is.

How do I handle this now as going to the banking hall might lead to arrests etc, so I need to be prepared.

Get a lawyer. If you are sure you are into legitimate business, you don't have to worry. Get a lawyer and sue them. Claim damages.

No one down south is happy with what is going on in the country. But I think there are better ways to handle situations like this. First we need to vote out these wicked leaders who marginalize other sections of the country and think they own this land when they are actually strangers.

Unless we sit down and strategize, in ten years time, the north population will be double that of the south. We know what numbers do in politics.

I was shocked to read the news this morning that this federal government is using 999 million naira to feed 10 millions students daily.

This is roughly One billion daily which translates to 30 billion in a month.

Our greatest challenge is currently security. Why not use this money to recruit more security personnel to tackle insecurity.

If can pay 600,000 new security personnel an average salary of 50,000 monthly.

What is your take. We must put pressure on this government to do the right thing. It is our monies.

I am not an IPOB or Biafran but the truth is that the bandits and kidnappers in the north seem to be enjoying coverage from security personnel. It will not be an overstatement that some of the security personnel are benefiting from the proceeds.

When have you ever heard that the security personnel burst the hideouts of these terrorists and disarm them. Have you ever read they arrested any of them. Yet Gumi visits them and even sympathize with them. It is not a business in the north and some of the security personnel appears to be shareholders.

It is still expensive compared with what it use to be. In mile one market, Port Harcourt, I use to buy up to 12 oranges for 100 naira. But now, one can still get up to 6 oranges for that price. I am referring to those who sell in bulk. Not the final retailers.
