Concerning qur'an3vs83....the term islam denotes peace..and every body willingly or unwillingly loves peace

Hence the verse---Do they seek a religion other than Allah's(ISlam) while to Him submits whoever there is in the heavens and the earth,,WiLLINGLY OR UNWILLINGLY

I hope this explanation suffices,,the verse could also mean something better or more profound than what I have explained

From above , Paul is comparing himself to the disciples. If this man were truly doing all this work for God, he would not be complaining about his pain and torturing and suffering. If he is truly sincere he would not have mentioned those things. Prophets and messengers never complained and boasted about their sufferings.

The verse you quoted above is applicable to non muslims in the muslim land who refused to pay TAX not does who refused to JOIN ISLAM,,now go study the punishments for not paying tax

For calling people to ISLAM the Quran says---call people to the way of your Lord with wisdom and Good exhortation--16vs125

Concerning the quranic verses you quoted,,jihad is only prescribed when necessary,,that is when the muslims are under attack by an external force hence it is an obligation to prevent the fighting and annihilation of helpless muslim even if it means fighting back(defensive and not offensive)
