"DNA Test Is A Must" Mohbad's Wife, Wumi Aloba Breaks Silence

Wunmi Aloba, the wife of the late singer Mohbad, has reacted amid speculations about her child's paternity.

Following the death of Mohbad, his properties and how they would be shared became a topic of public discussion after his family members were filmed at his gravesite plotting about it.

Soon, there were calls from some quarters to conduct a DNA test on Wunmi's child to be sure it belongs to the late singer. This DNA matter has divided Nigerians, Newspremises reports.

Wunmi has maintained her silence so far, but she has now spoken.

She promised to wait until November 7, after the coroner's inquest, to speak on her husband's death.

Mohbad’s wife was unfaithful to my son, laced his food with sleeping pills

Today in court, Mr. Aloba, Mohbad’s father, stirred the pot with some bold claims against his daughter-in-law, and he didn’t hold back on dishing out the inside scoop about his late son’s ties with Naira Marley.
The grieving father, alongside his estranged wife and daughter-in-law, gave testimony at the Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State, responding to queries concerning the tragic passing of Mohbad
Joseph Aloba, the father of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, testified in a coroner’s court on Wednesday, alleging that his son’s wife, Wunmi Aloba, was involved in an extramarital relationship prior to his passing.

Earlier today, Mr Aloba was seen, alongside Mohbad’s mum and wife, arriving at the Lagos State High Court, Ikorodu, for the committee report of the Corona inquest into the death of young singer Mohbad.


Testifying at coroner’s court today, sighed by BBC Pidgin, Mohbad’s father claimed the Singer’s wife put sleeping pills into his food sometimes.

According to Joseph, his daughter-in-law had been unfaithful to the deceased.

He said;

“I don’t trust his wife. My son told me she always put sleeping pills in his noodles and went to another room to sleep with another signee in the same house.”

Mr Aloba also testified that the deceased’s landed property was in the custody of his mother-in-law, adding that the deceased often told him about his possessions held by his wife and her family.


Joseph told the Coroner, Magistrate Adedayo Shotobi, that he and his son lived together for 18 years.

The late singer’s dad said that he did not know the exact house in which his late son was living with Marley. He testified that his son left his (Joseph‘s) house at the age of consent and began to assist Marley while embarking on his career in music.

Joseph said that he saw the deceased three days before his death. He added that he saw the deceased’s casket only in a picture.

According to him, the deceased assured him that he would be able to handle his dispute with Marley.

A scorching video capturing Omowunmi Mohbad’s family striding into the courtroom for the singer’s murder case has ignited a firestorm of online chatter.
Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi and her son Liam strolled in, flanked by the singer’s mother, Olumiyi.
The duo, along with the singer’s father, Mr Aloba, are all in court for the corona’s inquest as the investigation committee sits.
The family of the late singer Mohbad, including his wife, his father and his mother on Wednesday arrived at a coroner’s court in Lagos for an inquest into the death of the singer whose real name is Oladimeji Aloba.

Since a day after Mohbad died, his wife, Wunmi Aloba, has yet to speak about her husband’s death publicly. Nor has she responded to allegations levelled against her about having a hand in the death of her late husband.


The young mother of one, alongside late singer arrived together at the Lagos State High Court, Ikorodu, for the committee report of the Corona inquest into the death of young singer Mohbad.

In a separate video clip, the father of the deceased singer, Mr. Aloba, was seen arriving at the courtroom alongside other family members.

Coroner Magistrate Adedayo Shotobi had on October 13 summoned musicians Naira Marley and Primeboy and also socialite Sam Larry to appear before the court on October 25 in an ongoing inquest to determine the cause of Mohbad’s death.

The coroner instructed the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Panti, to ensure the presence of the trio at the next adjourned date of October 25.


The court did not however invite the nurse whom the police considered one of the prime suspects in the case.

Last week, the police said that Naira Marley and Sam Larry are being held for alleged cyberbullying, threats to life, and assault resulting in harm to Mohbad.

Commissioner of Police Idowu Owohunwa said that Primeboy was complicit in the case because he gave Mohbad a life-threatening injury during a fight.

In response to the backlash, Yomi took to his Instagram page to warn those attacking the singer’s father to stop if they don’t want to heap curses upon themselves and their children.

“Late Mohbad’s wife was slɘeping with Mohbad’s manager who is a le*bian” – Mohbad’s associate, Micee

Micee, an associate of the deceased singer Mohbad, has alleged that the singer’s wife, Omowunmi Aloba, was having an affair with her late husband’s manager.

Micee made these allegations during an interview session with the controversial commentator, VeryDarkman.

This comes days after Micee took to his Instagram story to rant at length about the ill-treatment Mohbad faced at the hands of his wife while alive.


Recall that a few days ago, Micee went online to accuse Mohbad’s wife of being fetishy and allegedly using jazz to make him do her bidding and prevent him from relating to people.

He alleged that Mohbad once caught her with a fetish ring and threatened to expose my details about her if she confronted him.




In his interview, Micee confirmed in an interview that the late Mohbad got into an argument with a manager called Tunde after the latter made an offensive comment about how his wife controls him. This made him decide to confront the aforementioned person face-to-face at Marlian’s residence.

In addition, he said that Mohbad’s lesbian manager was having an affair with Mohbad’s wife, and the singer had video proof, which an associate of theirs verified.

“Mohbad went to Marlian’s house; he and his manager, Tunde had an argument when he told Mohbad, ‘I am not the type that is controlled by his wife.’ They are trying to hide stuff, I don’t want to mention names. There’s one of their associates, an old manager, he said Mohbad had videos and showed them; the manager would send videos of her having stuff with his wife,” he said in part.

The Peoples Democratic Party Governors Forum (PDP-GF) has called for an emergency meeting to address the crisis in Rivers State.

The meeting is scheduled to take place at the Akwa Ibom State Governor's Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja.

The crisis is reportedly related to a rivalry between the current state governor, Mr. Similaye Fubara, and the former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, who is now the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Fubara was elected under the opposition party but hasn't been closely associated with the forum since taking office.

South-South leader Chief Edwin Clark has attributed the crisis to former Governor Wike and called on President Bola Tinubu to intervene and prevent any unlawful attempts to remove Governor Fubara and manipulate the state's leadership.
