On the topic, I consider myself an authority. I have been into blogging and I have trained bloggers in the past.

Here is the thing.

There are different types of Blogging.

1. Linda Ikeji's kind of blogging where you have a website where people can type your url on their browser.

You see this one, its not profitable again. Don't waste your time. Your almighty Linda Ikeji and Stella and Olorisupagirl and all of them are losing traffic by the day. The only saving grace they have is the small traffic that comes through Google Search. If you are thinking of having your own website or blogger to start a blogging business, you are in for a long thing. Its not worth your time and effort. People don't visit blogs again.

2. Tunde Ednut kind of blogging where you use social media to post different things that comes to your mind.

Social media is the real thing now. If you know your way around it, you can be the next gistlover or Tunde Ednut. People wont type your url on their web browser but they will like to follow your Instagram and Facebook pages if you have something interesting and stupid to offer. Yes, something stupid because most social media bloggers post stupid stuffs before they can blow. People don't like things that make sense.

And if you want to go through this route, you must be really dedicated because the number of social media bloggers out there is mind boggling. Hundreds of new pages are created everyday with the aim to be like Gistlover or Tunde. The competition out there will kill you. But this one seems like a better route for you.

But if you are my brother and you ask me for advise, I will just tell you to go and do something else with your life.

you are 100% right here. Building social media pages is the best way to go especially if you want to go for blogging.

nope I disagree with you here. There’s no way you will be blogging that you won’t work on SEO, Rpm, cpc either you are blogging or a vlogger. Google Adsense policies never restrict website on social media pages. There’s no way you won’t see Linda ikeji , Instablog9ja , Gistlover links on their media pages either on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube pages. They may not invest on YouTube cos’ of its policies on monetisation, most of them invest heavily on facebook, Instagram and Twitter media pages. And they are cashing out big monthly. Building social media pages is the first thing to do if you want to succeed on blogging works

I will advise you here to first build your social media handles like facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube. Have at least 50k followers on them and see how easy your blogging or vlogging work will be easy. First build your social media handles.

Adeleke’s sacking of 1,500 teachers increased out-of-school children in Osun, says Adegboyega Oyetola

The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola has lamented that sacking of over 1,500 teachers by Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration has surged the numbers of out-of-school children in Osun state.

The Nation reported that, Oyetola, who is the immediate past governor of Osun state, expressed worry over the surge in statistics, as he implored Adeleke not to politicise the education sector of state.

At the commissioning of the multimillion-naira solar borehole donated by the 1973 and 1974 class of Ife-Oluwa Grammar School, Osogbo, on Saturday, January 20, the minister—represented by his former special adviser on political affairs, Akere Sunday —disclosed that he had recruited 1,500 teachers, but that they had been fired politically by Adeleke.

"My advice to the government is that it should not play politics with education," he declared.

Approximately 1,500 teachers were imputed when we were in government, but regrettably, the current administration stopped them all when they took office, and for more than a year, they have done nothing to fill the openings.

Children in Osun State who are not in school have increased recently as a result of this. I want to beg the government to make sure they hire enough instructors, and I also want the government to work with the former students of every school in the state.

"We appreciate the kindness, generosity, and philanthropic gestures of our distinguished Old Students of the school, Class 1973–74," stated the school's principal, D.K. Faleye, earlier.

The help provided in covering the NECO fees for seven of the school's impoverished pupils in 2023 is something the institution will never forget.

Additionally, the solar-powered borehole that we are commissioning today is a commendable initiative that these amazing men and women from the 1973–1974 class started, for which we will always be grateful.

A campaign vehicle belonging to the Deputy Governor of Edo State and an aspirant in the governorship election, Philip Shaibu, has been reportedly vandalised by suspected hoodlums in Ekpoma, Esan West Local Government area.

The incident reportedly happened on Sunday night after a meeting of the supporters of Shaibu in Illeh, Ward 10.

Narrating the incident on the phone, the Coordinator of Shaibu’s campaign in the area, Otoide Abas said the vandalised vehicle had been retrieved by the police and he was at the police station.

He said, “We had just concluded a meeting with Ward 10 (Illeh) PDP faithful when the incident occurred. We started the meeting at about 5:00 pm and we finished a few minutes to six.

“After the meeting, we went in the Sienna bus given to us by Comrade Shaibu to Ekpoma to meet with other supporters and we decided to make a quick stop at the local market square in Ekpoma to purchase some beef barbecue (Suya).

“We were standing by where we wanted to buy something when we saw about seven boys come down from a bus packed close by and started shooting, we all ran for safety and they went to where we parked the bus and destroyed it.

“Police retrieved the vehicle that night and as I am talking to you, I am in the police station because I was told to report today (Monday).”

Shaibu said he had experienced numerous attempts to impede his campaign and recently complained of alleged state-sponsored vandalisation of his billboards, targeting his candidature but he remained committed to his mission of reclaiming the state from business-oriented individuals who prioritise personal gains over the welfare of the people.

The deputy governor, in November, made a formal announcement expressing his desire to compete for the Peoples Democratic Party ticket in the forthcoming party primaries.

His formal declaration came after a months-long crisis between Shaibu and his principal, Governor Godwin Obaseki.

Rivers Guber: Supreme Court Dismisses APM’s Appeal, Reserves Judgment On APC’s Suit


The Supreme Court on Monday rejected the appeal filed by the Allied People’s Movement challenging the triumph of Siminalayi Fubara as the governor of Rivers State.

The panel at the highest court, led by Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, has also deferred the judgment in the appeal lodged by the All Progressives Congress and its candidate, Patrick Tonye-Cole.

The counsel for the APM and its candidate in the March 18 election, Innocent Kere, at proceedings on Monday opted to withdraw the appeal.

The appeal was subsequently dismissed by the apex court.

Tonye-Cole’s and APC appeal was reserved for judgment, after the court listened to the arguments of the parties involved in the matter.

Tonye-Cole, among others, is asking the apex court to sack Fubara, adding that the governor did not resign as the Accountant General of the state under the deadline stipulated by the constitution and the Electoral Act.

The lower courts had dismissed all appeals against Fubara and upheld his election.
