KOGI 2023: Labour Party Adopts PDP’s Senator Dino Melaye as Kogi Governorship Candidate

The Labour Party in Kogi state has collapsed structure and adopted the candidate of the *People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Dino Melaye*, as its candidate for the November 11th 2023 Kogi State Gubernatorial Election.

Melaye made the announcement on Friday via his verified platforms ( X and Facebook page).

He described that the alliance as efforts to rescue Kogi State from the darkness of the APC-led government of Governor Yahaya Bello.

*“After a wide consultation and in the interest of our dear State, the Labour Party on this day has resolved to adopt the PDP Gubernatorial Candidate, Senator Dino Melaye as its candidate for the November 11th Kogi State Governorship Election,”* Melaye said.

Melaye will face off against other candidates, including Ahmed Ododo of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The National Assembly should make law to separate NLC from a political party.

It's dishonest to force workers , including workers working at INEC and Courts, meant to be apolitical and other workers in different political parties to support the political interest of Labour Party because they belong to NLC.
