Politics › Re: My Administration Repositioning Nigeria's Economy – Tinubu by Ttalk:
We believe you are bold, experienced, and committed to repositioning the country in the right direction.

My sincere appeal to Nigerians is to be patient with this administration and endure the present condition. There's no better time to salvage this country other than now. Nigeria shall be great.

To those that would hide under this administration to perpetrate their corrupt tendencies and soil the good intention of Mr. President, we would expose and shame all of you. As we watch closely your performance under this administration, note that you won't be spared the moment you derailed from the renewed hope agenda.

To the members of genuine opposition, your freedom is guaranteed when constructive criticism provides alternative solutions to government policies.

Now is the time for the losers turned haters to sheath their swords and support the government, constituting public nuisance would not give you the presidency. You have another 4 years to present yourself, don't burn Nigeria today.

Nigeria shall be great

franchasofficia:
It will crash Nigeria.

Nigeria is too poor to embark on such project.

It will be better to give out NGN10million to 10,000 verified small business owners yearly and also convert NYSC to National Youth Entrepreneurship Development Service Year whereby graduates will be trained in different profitable businesses and trades based on their talent, course of study and interest/passion.

Reduce the service year to 3 months intensive camp training where government will feed them, and as they are passing out, you give each corper a startup capital of NGN5million to venture into his or her acquired camp skill.

Any corper that opts to take the NGN5million FG startup capital grant will deposit his or her NYSC discharge certificate, and returnable after 10 years to discourage them from going to seek for paid job after collecting the business startup grant, while those that don't want to deposit their NYSC certificate will be given NGN500,000 grant.

Do this for 10 years and watch Nigeria become a hub of small and medium scale enterprise with reduced unemployment and underemployment rates.
This is a very good idea. Instead of making the bests out of graduate seeking paid employment, it will attract them towards entrepreneurship thereby creating employment opportunity for the teeming youth

CAPITALBEE:
While I agree with you on the fact that it's a collective project, I don't think you have addressed the main issue raised by the OP in anyway - which is the delayed completion of this project.

I also do not agree with the stance of the OP which made it seem like nothing has been done at all. He/she could have done a better work by reeling out the different sections of road and the progress achieved.

The road expansion project is divided into 3 phases as seen below;
+ Orile Iganmu to Mile 2
+ Mile 2 to Okokomaiko
+ Okokomaiko to Seme Border
And it's no joke, coupled with the rail extension on parts of the first two axis.

Current state of that road shows that much of the outstanding work is on the Agbara to Badagry axis which is being funded through a #16billion tax credit from the NNPC. If that section is yet to be completed, then we should be asking questions like

1. Is the delay fund related?
2. Who is in charge of making the funds available?
3. Why have the funds not been released?
4. If 3 is Yes, so what is holding back the construction?
5. Where is the part of holding the contractor accountable?
6. If 3 is No, what is LASG doing to complete this section and get reimbursed afterwards?
Don't mind the OP work is going on at the Agbara Seme end which is been handled by Min of Work. Yes, FG has not shown enough commitment commiserate with the revenue generated through the land border. But making it look like it's the incompetency on the part of the state government is grossly unfair

JAMO84:
Gullible people will not verify this trash before swallowing it. The Lagos State government portion is from Orile - mile 2 - iyana oba, feds take it from there to Agbara - Badagry. The state's portion is 80% completed, even the part of the feds one lane is just like 3 km to Badagry roundabout. I know this because I live in Badagry.
Don't mind these useless people. I traveled to Badagry in January and could not believe the level of work done on that road.

The cost of flyover between Mile 2 and Iyana Isashi is bigger than their state's annual budget yet they won't shut their mouth and appreciate good things.

Their entire state does not have the number of flyovers on that road alone and it's been completed in the first tenure of SanwoOlu.

This is the area that many of them run to and live in because of the ambiance and rate of development going on there.

Again, the arrangement is between State and Federal Government and the state has almost completed its portion with over 90% completion while FG is handling the Okoko Badagry axis and a lot of work has been done there also.

May I remind the bigot OP that the cost of the state government portion triples that of FG because of the expansion and light rail that has been incorporated into the project?

Meanwhile, that same road used to be an FG road where it makes so much money from revenue collected by the customs along that axis, yet the state government is taken the larger responsibility for a road that generates huge revenue for the FG.

It is saddening that this country's unitary arrangement doesn't benefit my state or the SW in general, the better we go back to regionalism and allow each region to develop at its own pace the better for us.

Better say all Obi obidient tribesmen

Because I know Nigerians know that Obi is just a sore loser that's just wasting his time.

But you all know that you are not capable of organizing yourself not to talk of a group against Nigeria.

We don't pray for a repeat of civil war that terminate the lives of innocent Igbo people because of the emotional thought of one senseless man

The sun in Abuja is not blazing, it has been partially sunny and partially cloudy, though the temperature has improved since yesterday, it's still below 30 degrees, and it will continue like this till early September.

Hope you are not that same stubborn guy that has 'brain' as part of his name that I used to know.

Are you aware that erosion is a natural disaster that happens due to topography.?

The only thing that can be done is to constantly repair.

Obi cannot change the topography. The best he can do is to repair.

Your tinubu is a common thief.

If I am listing the best 100 governors in Nigerian history, he won't even feature.

Just look at the high level corruption and waste that has dotted his public life.

Is that leadership?

You think tinubu can cope in places like China and America with stringent anti corruption rules?
He would rot in jail.

Look at the pension he is taking?
President Obama did not take as much as that as former president.

Look at the network of corruption he has instituted everywhere he has ever had influence.
A state with all that GDP and yet cannot even compare to ordinary Casablanca in terms of development.

Look at the mess that akpabio and other crooks in the Tinubu led senate are doing.

You think that nonsense can happen under Peter obi?

Tinubu appointed mattawale and wike as payment for political brigandry..
Do you think those are the politicians that will give you a decent standard of living.?

Those are the kind of ministers that would give you a "renewed hope"?

Your head is not correct.
I will not insult you because I know true words can be as painful as analgesic injections.

But why are you mumbling your thought like a wayward housewife caught in the act.

We are comparing the competency of two individuals and you are talking about Akpabio and what have you.

I only compared the innovative skill of the two men, stating verifiable facts that exist during the tenure of both of them.

Now if you chose corruption let's stick to it and let's table verifiable facts that have been proven between Tinubu and Obi.

Let me allow you to itemize the corruption cases you have against Tinubu and I will itemize that of Obi.

I'm waiting for you

Nice analogy. Let's just pick one area of governace which is internally generated revenue. Now let's compare how much Lagos state was generating bfor Bola took over and how much the state generates after his 8yrs and we do the same with Anambra. then we compare the percentage increase or reduction.

I have got my facts. Obi increased Anambra igr from 7 billion to 8billionbfrom 2006 while to 2014 while Tinubu increased Lagos igr from 600 million (0.6 billion) to 8 billion.
They won't dare show face

Tinubu cannot govern a poor state.

He would finish them.
Obis cannot govern a complex state like Nigeria. During his time, communal clashes were at their peak throughout his tenure, he could not do anything in those villages up till today the people of Nkwelle Nsunnaka are still killing themselves with dane guns the way a tourist hunt rabbit in the bush.

Should talk about a natural disaster that plagues both states, in Lagos there's an annual overflow of the ocean into houses along Marina, with the fearful prediction that the surge will eventually occupy VI and the suburb, a pragmatic Tinubu engaged investors and the beach where sand-filled creating a shield from the city at the same time creating a new city out of water. Tinubu simply turned a problem into a profit-making venture and today we have Eko Atlantic City.

Similar erosion in Anambra villages at the bank of river Niger has become an annual disaster with nothing as a solution for the hapless people living there, except an eye service camera show with 2 bags of Rice Obi display as his solution to the plight of the people.

It is only a mad person that would place Obi ahead of Tinubu in terms of achievement, daring, and innovation

Subject to verification, secondly you cannot compare the FG investment in Anambra and that of Lagos, Till date Lagos is the most invested state by the FG in the whole of Nigeria still even more than Abuja as at now, to whom much is much is expected, list 1 thing FG built in Anambra and 1 will list 10 in return for Lagos.....

This is like Davido's father investing 3billion for him to start a business and a civil servant giving his own son 3miliion to start the same business and you are expecting the one with 3m to produce huge profit immediately like Davido that has 3billion, a lot of things might have to happen that might almost sound like miracle for such to happen....
Can you provide evidence to back this.

List FG investments in Lagos and ill list FG investment in Abuja and let's compare the value

That's the problem with you guys, to you Politics is all about winning election, that's why Buhari won and couldn't offer good governance, same with Tinubu now, and Igbos rejected these 2 men.

Once your focus is only on winning election and not good governance, it is like the picture of the monkeys that took over the car and could not drive it, that was Buhari's case for 8 years.

Now Tinubu is already on that path....
But you people that focus on good governance in choosing your governors and Senators, to what end has it been the result other than massive economic immigrant to other region

Am I surprised? Is this not the man who wore an Arsenal jersey to advertise his walk? There was a time Fash was there, he is a man u fan but the guy had brain as gov to advocate for the NPL. He didn't bring man u to state business. the closest you got was Rio Ferdinand coming to Lagos. Fash wanted league players to be paid 1m as minimum wage, he was involved in grassroots and the principal's cup took a new leaf. People just think that economic poverty is our problem but political poverty and poverty of the mind are. What ww have today are people who lack class and recruit mind-for-sale applicants who will jolly well advertise their shit as perfume if need arises. They see public overnance as a joke and want to cut him some slack without realising that your conduct when you get there is being watched and can influence a lot of things. I am waiting for that UK parliamentarian who will go to Spain for a la liga game and won't receive flak. That you can spit does not mean you will spit outside all the time
Your point here captures it and it is called perception. Do you embark on a funfair party when your neighbour just lost his only son?

Leaders across the board in Nigeria today must show sincere empathy for the plight of people caused by Covid 19, Emefiele's cashless policy as well as this subsidy removal. You can preach to people to bear the hardship when your actions show otherwise.
