Hello guys please i plan reapplying for my 3rd f1 visa interview in abuja, i had the last 2 about two months ago in lagos consulate.

My first interview i was asked.
1. To talk about my plans - i told VO i where i was going and what i was going to study.
2. Vo asked what my course was all about - i told her everything about it
3. Vo asked about my sponsor and what he does for a living? - i told her my dad and he’s the head pastor of a church, after she requested for his monthly income i showed her he’s bank statement
Vo kept typing, looked at me in surprise and asked why haven’t I travelled out of the country be4, i tried explaining but in btw she just denied me!!!

Second visa interview
1. Vo asked what my educational plans where - i told him where i was going and what i was studying
2. He asked who will be sponsoring me and what he does for a living - i told him my dad’s a pastor and is into medium scale farming and real estate!
3. After I finished talking he denied me visa.


Please can someone put me tru on how to go about my 3 appointment? I need to know what I’m getting wrong!!! ����

u have to give a full transcript of how ur conversation went sequentially if you want feedback n views that can help u prepare for ur next interview.

mE. It is part of the money available to me as i have secured GA position. That is where the issue start from. Tuition differential is appearing under funds available for me. Total funds i need is $41,357 and deficit of $423 and funds available is $44,937. My personal funds is $4000.

In my I-20, UNDER FUNDS AVAILABLE I HAVE PERSONAL FUNDS $4,000,TUITION DIFFERENTIAL $12,879 AND ON CAMPUS EMPLOYEMENT IS $28,453.THEY ARE ROUND FIGGURE,NOTE THIS IS INFORMATION IS FOR THE READER, NOT TO THE V.O.

Ur reason for why d school and the program are not strong enough. Let ur first few sentences answer the VOs question before u continue with the other supporting stories. But believe me ur reasons are not strong OR let me say the way u delivered ur points was weak. Establish how the program will help ur career when u get back and try to go straight to the point. Ofcourse for F1 visa at that age(except u r a lecturer in Nigeria OR u r going for MBA or ur company is sponsoring you), u have a lot of convincing to do, and its not about how much u say BUT the quality of what u say and how u deliver ur points.
Are u also sure, what u filled in previous DS160 doesnt contradict what u filled now.

That is a good decision u intend to take. But I for say make u avoid overstaying ur visa in the US.
If you have funds, I think you should go for a 2 years masters program in Canada. This qualifies you for 3 years postgraduate work visa. That's 5 years in Canada already, u would be a permanent resident at least, before that 5 years.
Someone advised u to go for PHD in the US, be careful with PHD, it can be rigorous and if you are not interested in research, if you are not patient, if u r not passionate about it, please avoid it. What u need at this age is peace, happiness, soft life, doing what you like. If it is academics/RESEARCH THEN FINE. otherwise just do masters n move

Funny how people are saying YES, except you want to put a dummy DS-160 Confirmation number and change it later(Which is possible), you need the SEVIS Number on your I-20 to complete your DS-160 form, and you need the DS-160 confirmation number to book an interview.

It is possible.
DS160 confirmation number/application number is generated at the start of the DS-160 process. That is the only information on DS-160 u need for your booking( and passport details ofcourse). Even after completing DS-160, its still possible to fill another one and replace the DS-160 number in the appointment booking confirmation page.
