It says "work experience in the last 10 years" so if you 4 years work experience falls within the 10 years range then you're good to go. Just get the reference letter in CIC format from them. Your freelance job can come in your personal history cos of you claim self employed, you'll need to include your certificate of incorporation and some other things. Canny20: Hello all.
I'm new here. But I'm a bit confused about a particular issue, I would appreciate clarity.
I have about 4 years employed work experience, but I'm currently self employed(freelance).
Which of these experiences should I state?
Can I include my employed work experience and exclude my self employment? If not,
Is there any aspect of the application that creates room to state self employed as well as employed? |

I'd advise you go with your option 2. You can still max out CRS 444 with your profile if you try you best to get LRSW 8,8,7.5,7.5 and your madam gets LRSW 8,7,7,7 in IELTS. Evaluate your M.Sc and I guess your work experience is 3 or more years. Let madam evaluate her OND and HND which I guess you give Bachelors of three years or more. If all these parameters are met, then I see no reason why you can't make it at CRS 444. You'll be the Primary Applicant. You can use http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp to calculate your projection. henryuzor: Dear all, please I am new to this forum and I want advise as I start my own Canada PR journey... I am considering these 2 options and I would like advise from you all who are very experienced in this... I am married with 2 kids (boy:4yrs and a girl:1 year) I am a chartered accountant and almost tru with my masters degree in accounting ( to be completed latest Oct 2018) I am 35yrs old My wife is 34 yrs old I work for an audit firm (salary is just there) My wife has an OND and HND degree My wife works for an indigenous upstream oil firm (Salary is very encouraging) Here comes the poser....due to financial and economic considerations,i am considering migrating alone, then after settling down very well,my wife and kids can now join me...so I have come up with these 2 options
option 1...apply for PR as a sole applicant option 2...apply for PR together with my wife and 2 kids Abeg Nairaland community....make una advise me |

Woke up to PPR on Friday morning.
See timeline below:

Bizarre isn't? I was amazed as well when I woke up to another PPR today. We badly wanted the PPR to come earlier so we could have our baby in Cannyland but in God's supreme knowledge, He's decided now is the time.
We have written to IRCC to have our deadline postponed though, in order to give time to birth and include our baby before leaving as wifey is too advanced right now. We await their feedback.
@Newmum and others waiting, it will come soon by God's grace.
To my fellow PPR choppers, congrats.
All the best to all of us in this endeavor. |

I'm the accompanying spouse and our application was pretty straightforward, so we didn't have too many LOEs.
80% of our POF was in Tbills in my name while the rest was in my husband's.
While I didn't need to ask questions, this forum has proved super helpful and I'm grateful for everyone who has taken their time and energy to give of themselves for free.
I wish everyone favour in this journey! |

Thank you so much. IamtrulyBlessed: ACCA awards ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business after completion of F1, F2, F3 & FIP. However, I can't confirm the outcome of its evaluation with WES or any other body because someone got 1 year college diploma or so while another got 1 semester. F4 - F9 + PEM will give Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business. |

Hello house, I have followed this thread sometimes last year but I was already 3/4 gone with my study permit so I couldn't look into this option. Well unfortunately I was refused study permit, re-applied and was refused again. I am now considering this route though I have so many issue bothering me about forging ahead with this. After checking things out, I decided with wifey that she will be the PA.She studied Microbiology but is a fashion designer(tailor) and she will use NOC 6342 B. In my first study permit application, she applied for open work permit to accompany me to Canada and filled her occupation there as fashion designer. My main concern now is the documents she will need to submit as a tailor cos she has her own establishment(though not registered). She trained in 2 different places as well. She served in a secondary as a biology teacher. Please help me out with what to do. God bless you all. @GlitteringStar @Newmum0618 Please help out cos we are confused about this. Reason why we decided that she should be the PA is that I am also an entrepreneur and I claimed CEO for my study permit application. |

Hello house, I applied for my visa Jan 25 and was refused Feb 12. The following reasons were stated: 1. I'm not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources without working in Canada to pay your tuition fees.
2. I'm not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources without working in Canada to maintain yourself and any family member accompayning you.
3. You have not satisfied me that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay ticking: - Travel History - Purpose of visit - Current employment situation - Personal assets and financial status
4. Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of your : qualifications, previous study and employment, level of establishment in your country and relationship to sponsor.
Please people, how do I go about responding to this? I'll like to re-apply ASAP
NB: My wife applied for open work permit alongside my study permit application as she will like to accompany me.
