Iblad0994: Oga o, I'm even finding it hard to understand the data you present.
Can you at least make it more understandable so I can dignify you with a befitting reply Check the list states in both regions and their debts, minus Lagos, Southwest still top southeast in local and domestic debt. |

Iblad0994: Can you provide me the GDP data?
If I pull out the GDP data from NBS and analyze now I will still see Ogun state beats Anambra hands down.
The reason I pulled this IGR and debt profile was because one Igbo guy told me Anambra IGR is more than the whole Sw combined exc. Lagos.
He has since cover his face in shame coz true statistics shows Anambra is even trailing Oyo and Ondo in terms of IGR.
Is it a curse to lie? Nawa o You guys should stop deceiving yourselves, same Ogun state that couldn't sustain itself during recession and was bailout by FG twice, we are tried of you guys lies

Iblad0994: Are you okay sir? How does this make my claim false? Don't you see the external debt is in USD? I just converted it to NGN to use it to measure the debt with reference to the domestic debt which is in NGN.
Bring out where I lied or keep shut forever Go and do your calculations well External debt$ Domestic debt # Abia $ 98. 5 million # 62.8 billion Anambra $107 #33.4b Enugu $119 # 55.8b Ebonyi $66.6 #55.5b Imo $ 59.5 # 97.8b Southwest excluding Lagos Ekiti $106m #118b Ogun $98.3 m #97.1b Osun $86.8m #147.7b Ondo $ 79. 8 #56.9 b Oyo $ 104.9 #94.1b |

Iblad0994: Lol, Ogun state IGR is more than the total of the SE states combined, that is a fact.
IGR of southwest even without putting Lagos doubles that of the whole SE.
So Enugu, Anambra, Abia, Ebonyi, and Imo states IGR combined is not up to just one Ogun state. IGR doesn't measure economy, Ogun still below Anambra in normal GDP |
Politics › Re: Debunking The Lies About SE And SW Comparison Based On IGR And Debt Profile by TundeBricklayer: 1:26pm On Aug 29, 2019 |
Iblad0994: This thread is created to debunk the misinformation about the IGR and debt profile of the SE and SW. I will center this thread toward the comparison between the SW (Excluding Lagos) and the SE based on debt profile and IGR.
The news was currently on front page showing that the SW states owes far more debt than the SE states and also some are saying that the SE states generates more IGR than the SW (excluding Lagos).
I am playing on the National Bureau of Statistics Website and I pull the below data from their portal for SE and SW (excluding Lagos): 1. State by state IGR comparison 2. State Domestic Debt 3. State External Debt
Based on the data, it can be deduced that the IGR of Ogun state as at 2018 (full year) is more than the total IGR of all the five (5) SE states combined. Source: https://nigerianstat.gov.ng/elibrary?queries[search]=IGR
Based on the chart: Abia, Anambra, and Ebonyi owes the most external debt compared to other SW states. Osun and Ekiti owes the most domestic debt in comparison to the SE states.
Currency in Naira ($1/362.50) IGR: SW (Excluding Lagos) = 150,824,371,322 SE = 77,314,968,186
Debt Profile: External Debt: SW (Excluding Lagos) =77,236,552,806.63 SE = 210,670,770,459.37
Domestic Debt: SW (Excluding Lagos) = 505,468,856,367.78 SE = 309,919,768,624.23
Total debt (External +Domestic ): SW (Excluding Lagos) = 582,705,409,174.41 SE = 520,590,539,083.60
Source of Data (National Bureau of Statistics): https://nigerianstat.gov.ng/elibrary?queries[search]=IGR https://nigerianstat.gov.ng/
Mod: Please move this to the front page to educate Nairalanders, this is from a true source (National Bureau of Statistics) I don't know why you guys enjoy fooling yourselves go to Debt management office site and cure your ignorance

Crime › EFCC Gathering Intel On Nigerians Indicted In US – Magu by TundeBricklayer(op): 8:21am On Aug 29, 2019 |
...Records 111 Internet fraud convictions in South WestThe acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, has disclosed that the agency is collating comprehensive data on the Nigerians indicted in the recently busted money laundering and cyber crime offences in the United States. 80 suspects, most of whom were Nigerians, were allegedly involved in the crimes investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI, in the U.S. Magu who spoke through the Head of the Ibadan zonal office, Friday Ebelo, during a press conference in Ibadan, Oyo State, said the massive data collection was part of the collaborative activities between the EFCC and FBI to ensure that criminal elements are exposed and made to pay for their crimes. Journalists in attendance at the event were held spellbound when Ebelo took them through the intricate connections between the local Yahoo Boys and their offshore criminal collaborators. According to him, the essence the data mining exercise was to established any form of relationship the indicted individuals may have with Nigeria-based suspects, and how this could help in furthering the fight against economic and financial crimes in the country. He said some of the information earlier collected have led to the arrest of many internet fraudsters, adding that one of the kingpins was nabbed during a recent raid in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
[b]The kingpin Ajayi Gbenga Festus, he added, was found to be deeply involved in many internet-related frauds from which he had benefited up to N75 million in the last eight months.“We were able to establish a number of illicit transactions through his Nigerian bank account amounting to over N223 million. Ajayi serves as conduit pipe through which proceeds of crime reach members of the syndicate,” he stated.Ebelo also disclosed that in the course of the year, the zone arrested 263 suspects in Southwest for cyber crimes. Of this number, 111 were convicted.Apart from landed properties, vehicles, laptops and other valuables forfeited on the order of court, huge sums of money in local and foreign currencies traced to internet fraud were also recovered. https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/efcc-gathering-intel-on-nigerians-indicted-in-us-magu.html

Crime › Read More About Advance-fee Scam (419) by TundeBricklayer(op): 7:21pm On Aug 24, 2019 |
An advance-fee scam is a form of fraud and one of the most common types of confidence tricks. The scam typically involves promising the victim a significant share of a large sum of money, in return for a small up-front payment, which the fraudster requires in order to obtain the large sum. If a victim makes the payment, the fraudster either invents a series of further fees for the victim or simply disappears.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) states that, "An advance fee scheme occurs when the victim pays money to someone in anticipation of receiving something of greater value—such as a loan, contract, investment, or gift—and then receives little or nothing in return."
There are many variations of this type of scam, including the 419 scam (also known as the Nigerian Prince scam), the Spanish Prisoner scam, the black money scam, Fifo's Fraud and the Detroit-Buffalo scam. The scam has been used with fax and traditional mail, and is now prevalent in online communications like emails.
While Nigeria is most often the nation referred to in these scams, they originate in other nations as well. In 2006, 61% of internet criminals were traced to locations in the United States, while 16% were traced to the United Kingdom, and 6% to Nigeria.Other nations known to have a high incidence of advance-fee fraud include: Ivory Coast,Togo, South Africa, the Netherlands,Spain, Polandand Jamaica. The number "419" refers to the section of the Nigerian Criminal Code dealing with fraud, the charges and penalties for offenders. |

uduokirika1: which video? after watching the cargo airport video 4years ago what happened or the ICC that is now an abandoned elephant project!!!!!!
a serious government would have started construction of access roads, drainages the three arm zone before starting to sell plots.
Let me tell you what will happen here;
1. indiscriminate sales of plots to land speculators who would buy, divide and resell to individuals
2. Uncoordinated development without proper regulations with the schemes of the layout
3. There is no activity centres to draw development rather what we would have will series of residential and student hostel buildings.
I watched the video and laughed when the CEO of the company said one hundred million naira has been awarded for the fencing of the " millennium city" should that be the priority?
these men are just out there to make money from sales of plots nothing more nothing less reasons why they were quick to commission a sales office
lol Those projects you listed are going on, not aboundon especially ICC not posting the update here doesn't mean they are aboundoned, I have been very busy that why you guys are not seeing my update, last two weeks I was going to Enugu, I saw them working on the site and it was on Sunday, they're now in first floor, my be I will go there tomorrow. |
