Nigerian banks is filled with criminals. I opened a personal bank for the first time in a long time in Nigeria some months ago. Within 2-days individuals started calling me in attempt to scam me asking for my GTB bank account details, in their usual style. The only individuals or entity that had my Nigeria phone number are few friends (less than 20), family members, and GTB. I don't reside in Nigeria. The banks are operated by scammers themselves. Do you see how they slam you with bank charges. They even went ahead to issue a cheque to me without me requesting one and they charged me for it. I refused to pick up the cheque book.

Nigeria jst get as e be smtn happened to me last week i got a call from one unknown caller telling me she's going to ask me some certain questions about banks in general outside my own bank am operating that is a kind of review, that i should be truthful to her also stating my personal details are safe with her i jst laugh her for my mind. the next question she asked was if i know anybody that works in a bank and i said yes "myself" guess what the babe said the question is not met for me i was waooo but u could get a bttr review from me she jst cut call..9ja don finish

o.p there is no way an individual can get ur bvn number. like what we do in our branch is that after balancing we normally shredd all documents with a shredder before they are carried out by security for proper disposal is either the bank u're using disposes her customers sensitive document improperly or someone is actually leaking out ur Bvn.
It is always adviceable to Shredd all document from the bank at each day of banking activity.

so what is now the essience of Bvn? meaning he has an insider doing all this stuff due to his position. The fact is that every sector of the country is finished banks na dem even corrupt pass because alot of shady tins happen behind the scene.
