Freshprince91: My Oga, i did 13 trips yesterday though they were short trips and grossed 10k, i was pissed off because my darling Taxify usually gives me long trips, with just 4 or 5 trips, i would have made that amount. So today i have done another 7 trips, fares better than yesterday, that's 20 trips already. Will i get a notification about the reduced commission (3 %) or Sundays don't count for a new week trip count? or should i write them to ask how its done? Bro don't be deceived by gross that taxify displays, always check your net to determine your hustle so far. That by the way. You can Imagine being on 3% by Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday latest and you have the rest of the week to make more for yourself. But the taxify will keep you on 20% all through, deceiving you that you can make more through bonuses that are not certain. Bro abeg use Uber for two weeks and see the difference. Make I go they enjoy my 3% dey go

Good luck to everyone of us. You are actually right. I never knew anyone could be so low to be opening several monikers just to convince people to do certain things. Now I believe that there are jobless people on this thread and never ever believe any earnings from any new moniker, as it has been said severally but I never believed. There has been so many 2020s on this thread and here you have wiseone2020 viewing.

tunlapapa: Driver claimed the road was bad by rejecting your trip. You didn't think of requesting another ride but decided to report him. Is it Uber that repairs his vehicle or you think the token that Uber charges you is enough to maintain the vehicles on Lagos roads? And you may likely be the kind of rider that rates a driver low due to absorber noise but won't think that it's not the driver's fault but the road. And what do you think Uber will do the driver for rejecting your trip? Any rider that says anyhow will hear anyhow from me if he dares threaten me by reporting. PEOPLE WERE SURVIVING WITHOUT UBER AND THEY WILL STILL SURVIVE WHEN THEY STOP UBER. Chai! See likes on this post. I only said my mind. I took a lady from the USA today, told me I looked tired but I just smiled.( If only she knows what we go through) Asked if Uber drivers in Nigeria are making money unlike the US that drivers are making FÜCKING MONEY (She stressed it that way). I just examined myself and pitied me that if I had known the outcome of this driving would be this, I would have invested the same amount I used for buying this car to continue my previous business(but buhari's policies made me to have a rethink). |

I knew Uber would give a response soon that won't favour drivers that much. Means more work to get your rewards, like Uber writes in her newsletters that hard work pays

izzou: Just spoke to a road buddy now.
He is tired of the rain. He changed the bearing of the hub at Ladipo on Monday, and yesterday the noise Don start
If you aren't on rental, you fit sleep. But if na rental, just try to dey select trips. Forget rating. If them block you, go unblock am.
After all, Ladipo and Trade fair guys no dey use rating take sell part for you
Maintenance of car should be considered bro I would like to know if it's ok to go for new bearings or tokunbo as the bearings were replaced recently. The mechanic suggested buying new (tokunbo) hubs to solve the problem but I don't think the hubs are bad. Will I get original bearings as this is what I intend getting. |

Reading your write-ups give many headache while trying to comprehend what you have written. That aside, your car of 20k still never commot for market even with the low rentals? That is to tell you that something is wrong in the terms you have. |

Gentlelife50: Bro no be fight, rental was once 35 and same was said concerning those who were doing 30. You can't fight it, it's not a matter of being a good investor. It started from 60 to 50 to 40 and so forth in fact like I said a lot of people realized it was not what they thought and it's still happening The same Bill gate that insisted he wasn't doing 30k rentals is now on 30k. Bolt's advertisement should help in interpreting the current situation. It was "you can make 400k a month/120k weekly", but their advert is all over the the place with " you CAN make 90k weekly NOT you WILL make 90k weekly". That is to say that there are drivers that can over work by sleeping on chevron drive, admiralty, Providence... The fact is that as long as it gets saturated, expect it to get worse. |

jarkbauer: So no more surge? That will be terrible because even danfos have surge. You enter CMS 100 in the morning and 400 at night. Kai. Uber don cast. I believe drivers available are now much, especially closing hours in V.I that requests use to enter immediately I rejected don't occur like that again. I could wait up to 10 mins or more now before getting next trip. I don't even do shakara anymore since I don't know when next trip will enter. |

Xneg: But seriously what went wrong? Is uber /taxify trying to enslave us? Ok we agree they reduced fares in order to get more riders, what happened to surge on Mondays and evenings? The strike is inevitable. Surges are not created by them, it's only a dynamic pricing. |

iyaegin: Gone are the days when Saturday was a steady 2.0 surge in the island or Airport was a steady 2.0 surge every hour as planes landed, This one also caught my attention. Gone at those days that you see red apple in the morning till like 12pm on Monday, Tue and Wednesday, steadily at lekki 2. Gone are the the days I would have made 10k before 12 pm. Gone are the days that surge is always constant during closing hours at V.I. Those days that there was always surge at ikoyi from 8pm. Gone are the days that red apple would grow all over Lagos on Saturdays. What those saying Uber( E-hailing) still pays are the ones that didn't see those days. |

gobuchinny: Since you have all the experience then its simiply a slow day, even you know it..you didn't post d days you made alotta cash
Some days are slow..its normal I already summarised by telling you that it's so hard to meet target again and I don't even meet my target again, trying to meet target means more work so I don't bother chasing my target cos it's already telling on my body. I only showed you the screenshot because you said it's by starting early. |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by tunlapapa: 2:49pm On May 06, 2019 |
gobuchinny: Some days are like that brother, that today is slow does not mean tomorrow will be...furthermore, you can also ask for positioning techniques from the experienced hands. I spoke to ogunvic and Romeo personally before I started driving and learnt a lot from the thread.. I didn't stay in the same place for more than 30 mins...
But basically some days are slower than others but your gross at the end of the week or month is what matters.
God bless you hustle Asking for experience? With a year experience on driving on the platform? I could remember how it was last year but now it's hard work to achieve what I used to achieve.

gobuchinny: Truth is the business is OK for drivers with appropriate rental esp if the car is yours. But as someone rightly said, the work labour is not commensurate with the pay. Fares are ridiculously cheap..this revenue could have easily been doubled with the right fare..driving tells on the body but puts food on the table regardless.
When I was driving I target trips becos in my small mind 10 trips equalled 10k base...of course iz not always d case as you could make more or less in trips but drivers should focus on trips turnover..if you start early in a day you should make it...tho iz tough iz not the toughest job vis a vis pay..ask labourers Start early? What do you say about this when talking about starting early? I am still online and this is what I have made so far.

slamstanlee: uber is ready. bolt/taxify in trouble Do you know that with N100 bonus given on each trip after 3% means they are still giving you money on each trip except on long trips. E.g 3% of N3,330 is N100, so taking any trip lesser than N3,330 gives you more money. Check the screenshot for 3% on two different trips.
