You better go and learn how to drive as recession is knocking when your vehicles may end up being parked which you may not like to collect N10k as weekly rentals.

Bro, don't venture into Uber business.

It is overly saturated and not profitable as you'll end up spending all your earnings on repairs, olopa, lastma, agbero, etc etc.

You can do it if you are in Abuja but I don't support it Lagos (mega slum).

what you can do with 500k

1. Convert your money to dollars and lock it up in your domiciliary account. The naira is falling at a very unprecedented rate against the dollar.

2. You can start a dropshipping business with zero naira. All you need to do is have a smartphone, data and sense.

3. You can start a data vending business (during these covid times, everyone is on the internet watching videos and taking online courses)

4. Social media money (you can train / teach people about what you know in closed WhatsApp groups...u can charge 1k per student...let's say you have 50students...that's 50k)

There are free ways of making money without having money. You just have to think bro. THINK! THINK!! THINK !!!

reach me if you need more info....zero seven zero eight eight three one three four four nine.
Can you see how a dunce you are?
Can't you see that the post was made in 2019 for Christ sake?
And people like you are the likes that hover all around nairaland looking for who to scam all in the name of e-books and WhatsApp groups.

MORONN!

To be sincere, weekend classes as a beginner to B2 can't be achieved in 9 months as you will need to immerse yourself deeply in the language to be able to achieve that B2.

grin
But I sense that his drivers are on NL with way he protects his business here, fearing that they might be convinced on dropping his cars after reading so many convincing reasons about dropping his vehicles.

And guess he will be in deep dilemma when his vehicles are dropped as he can't drive even if he tries to enter igboro to make some dough

Hi guys, a ku lockdown o!

Just a feedback to the house, as a fall out of an enquiry I made in part 8.

I assisted a friend with his ECA and can confirm that WES evaluates Certificate in Insurance as equivalent to a one-year College-level certificate.

See below screenshot FYI.

Please I have OND and hnd. Can I earn more point if I should write cima or bcs? Thank you
OND & HND = two certificates.
Additional certificate will add no points unless you have a Master's certificate.

tunlapapa:
And people fail to understand that you ONLY need another qualification when you don't have at least a master's degree or OND/HND. Getting another certificate with these WON'T give extra points.

Hello guys, I really want to know if this loan app Company are still paying irrespective of this lockdown.

I am to pay my second and final installment tomorrow and I hope to request for another loan, right now that's all I have. If I pay back and I don't get to collect another loan, I'm done for.

So I will like to know if Branch and Fairmoney are still giving loans to their customers
Still the same criteria. You will be given if you meet up.

My believe is that BCS is another thing on it own......abi....am I missing something?
YES! I wrote that!

You only need your highest qualification to get points in your Education. Another way is for you to max out your IELTS and get a second language (French) that can give you about 42 points.

Please let's discuss as a group... There are valuable lessons to be learned for this lockdown.
Seriously if our savings can't feed our families for ordinary one Month without earning, there's serious problem, Brothers and Sisters, how are we going to survive in old age when we won't have the strength to work?
We need to overhaul our lives Now!
No matter the little we earn, (which may not be enough to pay all bills) we should adopt the culture of saving for the #rainy #days and discipline ourselves, avoid extravagant life style and save. It's obvious the government cares little or nothing about it citizens, so you're on your own!
Start planning your future better from today and SAVE UP! Thanks!
My brother, your main point is SAVE UP!
But I will like to inform you that a business man and someone that prepares for the future can't keep money in the bank for future saving sake. You need to keep your money growing.

You need to cite references sir. I'm sure yield data would be available on CBN website and the individual banks' year end financial reports.

But that notwithstanding, understand sir that the markets go up and down and that the true yield comes if you have something substantial to put in for the long term. That is how the rich make their money. They stay in the game for the long term. Good examples, Warren Buffet (Berkshire Hathaway), Ray Dalio (Bridgewater Associates).

In my opinion, 8 months is too short a period to judge the performance of a security. And maybe #5,000+ is too small an investment too.

Anywhere in the world, any security that can give you 10-12% sure yield every year is good enough.
Yes you are right but what brought this discussion is 800k investment which can never yield him more than 80k(10%) a year. He also said he needs an investment that yields daily/weekly.
Suggesting mutual is not good for him as that car might bring him about 100k returns monthly which mutual will never yield.
In conclusion, I believe mutual/treasury is for those with steady income that can have EXTRA after monthly expenses OR our politicians that will just forget the money there to just keep yielding OR like what I did for my kids by just dropping any amount monthly ( I did this after I saw that the interest on mutual is far better than the normal kids savings account).

And yes, mutual funds is not thrash; if you seek expert advice.

2019 figures. Anyone see the 15.54% year-to-date? And that's not even a high yield fund.

I proposed 12% yield every year, on the average. Conservative enough!
It was averagely okay not until Nov - Dec last year.
This report states year 2019 but I am sure Nov to Dec is not inclusive. Treasury and mutual both crashed the individuals on treasury purchase.

you are very correct on the interest rate.

I have my 500k in Stanbic mutual fund since May 2018 and till now the interest is very minimal

For me I think mutual funds is trash
It's trash!
This is a screenshot of a small amount invested since August 2019 (8 months) with only 6% profit and that will be the same profit irrespective of the amount. This means 5million will only yield 298,000 for the whole 8 months.
Treasury is a useless investment ATM with lesser than 9%/A.

If the drivers is what is wrong, I don't see anything bad there if you also enter street to make money.

When I had people under me, I could do all the tasks I asked them to do as it will be wrong if I don't know what it takes to complete a task and just be controlling people anyhow just because I was favoured.

Smh.. The idiots are saying if I had insurance I would be ok. My point is not insurance, I could less about the insurance..
I avoided calling you names but I can see you are a fool that thinks he is the wisest.

My point is that driver was reckless with my car. I spend 100k naira putting the car together, and few days later he caused an accident due to his fault... And the driver is owing me 60k naira from rental .
Let's check your analysis, if you claimed the driver was owing money before repairs could be that the vehicle was faulty with downtime on the driver's side but you kept counting his rental days for him. How can someone owe you money but you still went ahead to repair the vehicle for him for continued usage.
You also said the vehicle had an accident few days after the repairs which I am sure was not up to a week, that means you claimed the week the driver had the accident as a week owed if the driver was owing a week previously to make it two weeks rentals N60k.
Like someone said earlier that the accident might not be the driver's fault as the vehicle has shown signs of faults that made it go on repairs which might have come up again while the driver was driving it.

Meanwhile fools are talking about insurance etc ,no-one even mention that he is owing me money at all . They skip that part , and talk about insurance dis and dat.

Nobody will be interested in an immbecile's money aspects as YOU ALWAYS CLAIM YOU ARE MAKING MONEY. From my analysis, you have LOST N160,000 (previous repairs & driver's rentals) and you will lose more while repairing that car again.
As you can see that you are the fool here as a deposit (insurance policy) would have saved you from more loss and you don't even know what will happen with next driver.

Penny wise, pound foolish FOOL

To straighten up some stuff I worked with some insurance company and still working for them to repair client cars and official cars.

I won't be mentioning names here but the fraud in all this places na die... Can you imagine they brought a car to me to analyse and send the cost of repair to the oga, the oga called me to give report that the car is a total write off or inflate the prices of parts to just claim a new car from the company with the crazy bills. All along I was just trying not to implicate myself because I know from head office prolly they will come and verify.

In that situation they will claim money from head office for a new car and repair the damaged ones to give back to the customer. And do you want me to mention the bill I sent and will receive another total figure in my account only to be called to return the extra on it to the account of the oga...

So for proper understanding of this people you just apply wisdom in dealings with Insurance company
In summary, are you confirming that insurance companies don't pay claims as what you wrote up here is different from what is being discussed.
What you wrote is that fraud is being perpetrated by staff of the insurance company, or I didn't read well?
