slamstanlee: taxify in calabar n uyo now I guess Uber wants to pay them back in their coins; Uber did the ground breaking in Nigeria before taxify came to reap on uber's efforts. I feel Uber wants taxify to keep E-hailing awareness in those areas before they dive. |

Gentlelife50: Even though the trip was on surge I still wonder if it's supposed to reach that amount, did they travel outside Lagos? The normal distance for that trip is meant to be lesser than 37km cos according to the screenshot below, the map went through lekki express instead of link brigde, therefore adding about 1-2km. According to his screenshot, the possible stops(sakamaje) happened in ikoyi. Does it mean that the stops in ikoyi added more than 20km to the trip which is questionable. Or maybe they roaming around in circles . The guy is not clean jare.

Gentlelife50: He had to remove it on getting to third mainland, chaii. U don catch this guy. Abeg the guy should just shut up and let this thread be in peace again. I guess Uber won't listen to any excuse if a probe is done on this trip, and further probe will show that he has no integrity. Once a cheat will always be a cheat, so why make so much a noise when you are not clean. Checked the three points highlighted and I never saw a reason for zig zag movements on the points unless there were stops there.

dru23: Well no disrespect bro .. For me to digest what you said, you have to walk a mile in my shoe .. Have been doing for three years plus. Uber has been in Nigeria for about 4years now ,correct me if am wrong.. I dealt with managers, drivers, taken drivers to police station, lost money ,bad parts, crazy mechanic, change mechanics, change drivers, etc .. I have seen my own share of craziness .. I had to import my engine oil ,preach about it on the forum, show people my pains and gains and blood and tears.. Explain to people on forum, best cars to use and how to maintain those cars .. Mechanics did a number on me .. I finally did a 360 and turns things around.. People dru23 give up , u are not Base in Nigeria etc due to bad engine oil ,my cars packed up. I imported my own oil to use and sell. People said I can't sell enough engine oil or compete with others nobody will buy 17k oil from.. Now at times I can't keep up , I hired a female driver to drive for me ,I take a chance and roll the dice ..... Have been through hell and back .... If you have never experienced what I went through... I respectfully ask you to learn and watch what I do .. With all you have detailed so far, I have not been able to see you making profits. You lost millions which could have made some to declare bankruptcy but as a bill gate you are, you are still standing. Profits are not made in a short while but there are so many uncertainties coming from the E-hailing COYS that affects your business models which will surely make your plans to suffer; just like when they brought that vehicles intake to 2000, fare reduction and you never can tell what they will come up with in the nearest future. You lost millions and you have been in this for three years now. Three years is enough is for a business of such capital to start making profits plus the millions you lost which I don't see you make. The reason you are still in business is just because you another source of income that helps in keeping your fleet running. I am not trying to choke my views on you but just to make you see clearly. |

Hola123: good afternoon my uber and Taxify (bolt) people, I got taxify activated today so I decided to go online, I got my first request and I drove to pick up location, on getting there the rider called me and I told her am outside, she said I should pack that she is coming, on trying to pack one guy came banging my door then told me you don't pack here, open my door and entered forced my to drive to there office gave me a fine of 20k then I beg them to take 10k then I paid. I called the rider to notify her then she just ended the trip.
Please I want to ask is there a way to get back my money, Sorry for your first day experience. If you had followed the thread, you would have read a lot about touts. I can deduce from your narration that you don't have much of Lagos driving experience which is very necessary for Lagos. Road signs are very important and you have to shine your eyes very well cos some are somehow hidden to road users but with time, you will learn. That money is gone and there is nothing that can be done about it but make it a habit to always lock your doors not until you confirm your rider. More Lagos experience shall come your way but don't give up. REMEMBER, keep your eyes open for road signs. |

jesusson2020: The problem with most Uber drivers is superiority complex, to be honest, we all are Uber drivers, if you like be cbn governor in the past, at the moment we are in the same field. So stop feeling superior and get back to work to help yourself. Don't worry cos you are still young as you claimed and you have also landed your dream job. Just one question, where do you see yourself in the next 5 five years? |

iyaegin: How do you calculate your own toll fee as a debit when you will surely get it back abi na you dey pay for toll gate again What taxify is using to deceive drivers is by showing you the gross earnings on a trip, You should be only concerned about what your gain is after a trip. I am sure that your spirit won't be that elated if your were shown your actual income (2,635) on that said trip. |

bot101: Good day guys, I have been following posts here in recent times and looking to become an Uber/Taxify partner. I am planning to buy a Nigerian used Honda Accord 2004 model, employ the services of an Uber/Taxify driver, and collect 25k - 30k weekly. I don't know how feasible this would be as I have zero experience with running a ride sharing business. I need your advice on whether to continue or find something else to put my funds into. I'll create a topic and repost this there to avoid distractions, thanks.
Update: Thread created!! https://www.nairaland.com/5146783/uber-taxify-partners-drivers-come So you have heard about how people are raking money on Uber/taxify, and you decide to chop out of it. It's good but when you buy that your HONDA ACCORD(2.4l), it will be good for you to drive it for two months before you know how much your so called Uber/taxify driver you plan EMPLOYING would be able to deliver.

lakkyflow: Thanks for your advice Bro.. firstly I will transport myself , secondly Saturday's will be included if not Sunday at times , you know all this private OGA them ..Thirdly having time for myself and family might not be guaranteed.. With E-hailing these may or won't happen , I am hardworking and used to leaving the house before 4:30 am to 5am most times to work , so imagine channelling that effort to E-hailing , How do u see it ? .. I have been following my Ogas here and I must say I don't see anything difficult unless little supervision or location strategies to be effective ... So my Ogas, My main question is can I make that #60k mininmal for myself hustling on E hailing? Thanks Yes you can but this work is not like a personal drive that doesn't require stress. But it will be worth it by going into it. |

This is really discouraging coz i know it's not just him that is doing this. i have reported him though, but i hope necessary action is taking coz the post is still there till now. My advice for you is to move your story to "literature" section on nairaland. That is the only place they can not copy your work. Copy and paste can't be done cos it is the only that has it disabled. |

Cooladex: Keep deceiving yourself there. Stringent conditions indeed.
I am active on both apps and I prefer to drive solely on taxify. What works for me wouldn't work for you oga. I also drive on both platforms, mind you, I am even on bolt tariff (75/km) but I still prefer Uber to it. I can leave you to transfer my money later on Uber but taxify?, MBA I no dey do. And my dropped mostly because of people like that on taxify, I can't be working for someone. Can you please tell me how convenient it is for to do 16 trips on taxify with bonus of 4k ( imagine the bonus is like commission returned) but with conditions that you must meet which are almost hard for the time frame. But I am given a whole 74hrs as I like to get my bonus on Uber, isn't that sweet enough? See Proof that I am on taxify tariff.

Epphy: This is why I like Uber. Uber & Taxify both have advantages and disadvantages. Let's choose tight based on what works best for us. Don't mind those that are consoling themselves that taxifire is better, Uber must have chased them out. . Uber always gives without stringent conditions. |

Or is it where I will be on a trip and be scared of not having app failure? But I still give it to them for improving on responding to drivers on-time on their app. So tell what make them special? |

Rollitout: Uber realized that drivers are now driving more with Taxify and on other platform hereby affecting uber business yet uber does not want to increase there fare the best think is let us all shun uber for now, migrate to Taxify major uber competitor, you can use uber for repositioning alone and for trip destination, let us all cooperate let's do this for a month or two and let's see how uber will survive.
So what will running to taxifire achieve? With that your suggestion, I feel you are an agent to taxify. Uber is even better in terms of partners relationship and moreover, they operate on same tariff. |
