Can these 'brave' Ibos now face their master across the Niger (Hausa/Fulani ) for once and stop whining! You called yourself brave yet no ibo has really ever ask your master to apologise to you for the pogrom in the north, all you do is whinge and pick on Yorubas because of our peace loving nature. So much for Igbo 'bravery' sior! 5 Likes |

Some Igbos just like to blame others, if some of the so called biafran leaders were involved in sabotaging their own people by embezzling money meant for weapons, diverting food aid to their families and even selling weapons to the enemy yet Igbos don't see them as betrayals but prefer to demonise Awo. This makes me to believe that whining and inability to take responsibility is somehow coded in some of these Igbos genes. |

proudlyafrican: Like Dr. Nwaezeigwe stated it is not necessary disturbing myself with someone`s personal opinion. Achebe`s statement in his book is his personal view and opinion. However, promoting hate and abusing the mind of young Igbo people against the Yoruba`s is a senseless thought for an old man. Exactly! |

Seun, you can't compare Facebook with Nairaland which is a faceless forum, a lot of racist, tribalistic and ridiculous posts which usually have plenty of likes need to get some unlikes as well. 2 Likes |

So your people leant kidnapping from Yorubas? what a ridiculous statement! and you decided to take it to higher level shey? fulli_16: i have been to quite a number f places in Nigeria, i must confess i have'nt seen any other tribe that pratice tribalism like the Yorubas. You are a liar 100% I am a Yoruba man born and brought up in Yorubaland, throughout my upbringing and many of my friends we were never taught to see other people differently, that's why its so easy for us as Yorubas to see beyond ethnic and religious affiliations. As a business owner while I was in Nigeria, tribal and religious sentiments was never an issue in the our employment process. your claim is a lie from the pit of hell,i put it to you that you know nothing about the Yorubas but unfortunately simpleton like you find it convenient to hide behind your computers to type rubbish and even lay claim to what you know nothing about. 1 Like |

Even an immigrant cleaner living in any western country will give a better reply than an irredeemable tribalistic bigot like you. Employer are responsible for the acts of their employees especially in the course of discharging their duty, also there is something called corporate social responsibility. Falana is 100% on point. |

Who do some posters have nothing to say apart from whinge that crime committed by Igbos always hit the front page? Instead of condemning this despicable crime all you have to do is whinge! Bunch of low lives! This is a despicable crime but before we start condemning Igbos this type if crime is not perculiar to Igbo alone a lot of despicable crimes like this are abound in SW also. Nigeria is full of blood of several innocent souls. 5 Likes |

aribisala0: The best people should be allowed to work regardless of where they come from.If the Yorubas that were removed deserved to be removed so be it but this should be done in a transparent way. The question of appointing a graduate of 4 YEARS as a GM is very suspicious. In the civil service even the President should NOT be able to do that and if he can something is quite wrong. We need to have a very clear set of rules for how appointments in the public sector are made at FG level that are not open to manipulation by political appointees. Otherwise one day a Yoruba person too will get there and seek to REVERSE perceived wrongs and we only end up going round in circles. The idea of Ministers or other political appointees sacking Civil Servants in "restructuring" exercises wil alays be subject to perverse interpretations. Where the issue is performance, restructuring, etc there should be clear indicators and this is best done in a transparent way by commitee and civil servants themselves. Unfortunately our civil servants are politicized and even party members often. The only intelligent comment so far! Others are shouting like market women at oshodi, what a shame! |
