Yesterday was a day of double celebration for me, not only did I write my final papers it was also my birthday. It has been a long and trying journey but God has seen me through, I came to the university like a missionary with just my bags of cloths, slept in lecture halls and battled hunger for long periods. I wonder at times how I was able to pay my fees throughout my stay on campus but it all ended in praise.

I just clocked 29, most of my course mates are much younger while majority of my age mates have gone beyond this level but I would rather see myself as a late bloomer rather than someone lagging behind. I ventured into school mainly because most things I put my hands on before didn't pan out the way I envisaged but the experience has been worthwhile coupled with the wonderful people I've met.

The main struggle continues but I'm sure I will overcome. Thanks to the nairalander that sent me a token to celebrate my day.

More importantly I need a job, my rent expires in a couple of weeks and I can't go back to my parents house. Its time to face my struggles squarely, I can work even in Afghanistan and any condition as long as I can earn to put food on my table while I sharpen my web development skills.

Have a nice and productive day ahead.

PLEASE BUY A LAPTOP. You cannot be using an iPhone and say you cannot afford a 50k (or even less for a used one) laptop.

I discovered frm most of those I sent the NNPC advert to said they were going to the cafe to get it done. I understand the economy is hard and all... but it is of utmost importance to hv a PC, actually, in ur final year of school atleast. You need to get comfortable using ur laptop over ur phone.


At the very least, be very conversant with the PC, this can usually come with owning and using one. Be very good with the MS office packages, ms word and excel atleast

Some wld say they can do anything on their smart phones... but I feel job applications are best on a laptop.

So... please,do ur very best to own one.

...you are very myopic. If you know what a thesis done solely by you can be of help to you in future you won't say such. Whether they burn or chew it, let student do research work themselves it goes a long way in developing the person. Many grants, scholarships etc now ask students of there thesis work to see there research ability... that's to name a few.... Nawa!

I AM GUILTY AS CHARGED .i recently graduated last year. i was given a supervisor, i went to meet the man , he asked me to come back with four topics ,i did ,immediately he saw them ,he accused me of not being able to write the topics the he suspects ill be giving it to someone for a pay, i denied and he got angry, threw my file away and gave me a threatening remark, i quickly understand and apologize, if i had gone out of that office, m sure he'll make me see hell, so i begged him and asked him how m to go about it. this man gave me a price straight up (60k) i told him ill get back to him. to cut long story short , i paid 50k for my project, i dont even know my project topic ,i ended up with a cheap B , IT WAS NEVER MY INTENTION TO GIVE SOMEONE MY PROJECT TO DO. I DID IT TO AVOID THIS MAN FROM FRAUSTRATING ME. though the sharp B helped my G.p ...i m yet to clear. i would have typed the name of d fucking lecturer in UNIBEN FACULTY OF ARTS. some lecturers are corrupt and encourage shits like this

Firstly, Never pay a woman’s school fees. Unless she is your wife, never pay for a woman's education. I’ve seen people send their woman to school only for her to meet her soulmate in school.

WAEC papers have already been sent to ministries of education of the south east states. We have had records of refixing a paper in a particular school which is worse than this situation because students may have contacted other students in other schools about the questions that were asked (phones wasn't rampant though)

It is left for boards to meet and decide on day (s) to seat for these papers.


I wonder why people care so much wheras south east doesn't care about how they live their own lives. Whatever an Igbo man does for his survival, they try twisting to suit the Masters
