justwise:Yeah I noticed it too,no qualms. I think people will get the point . Baddest moderator ever liveth. ![]() |
Cecebee: yefa:Hi, PM who exactly? Apart from dropping contacts and numbers which the moderator forbids there shouldn't be anything we cant yarn here. Don't forget its a faceless forum people can get duped easily. I feel the thread should remain the primary source of information while the BBM groups and PM's should be the secondary sources. That way the thread keeps growing. I also think the poster is on the right track . |
Weldone guys, i have been following this thread. You all made it lively. But thinking that Tayo would win was pushing this too far, he made many unnecessary foes but i pray he learns going forward. See y'all again next year. Cheers |
You guys waste precious time discussing other countries while yours rot away. America will learn from her mistakes and introduce reforms while all you will do here is to call God to solve your problems. That is the-same way you carry Ghana's headache on your head . Oil has dropped below $70 you are supposed to be frugal yet your leaders recently awarded N9 billion cooking stoves that will never get to their intended users. Didnt you see those Ferguson blacks taking to the street I bet if it is here you will sit at home suffering and smiling. If you like make una no vote well in 2015 . |
bj2012golf:You are welcome man, may God grant you favor in your next interview. |
chloe7: Dont mind me o. I just dont like when people get unfair outcomes. We keep preaching honesty but if they dont respect honesty people wont listen again. In same vein, we cant over-criticise them because they see so many fake applications from oluwole,Lagos and they hear lots of award-winning lies that is enough to make them paranoid and confused as to who is real. |
GenoMI:Sorry dear, The VO na Oniranu and Alainikanshe, she isnt funny at all. He will go to Abuja and get it by Gods grace, truth be told those ones are more calm and reasonable. Person talk true dem no go listen, so why wont people lie?. This @bj2012golf case also made me sad because he could have done drop box jeje. Its not their fault, if our leaders haven't betrayed us they wont be seeing us in the embassy. Especially that one that can type for Africa, heard she doesn't wanna hear childbirth stories these days, pretty soon they will be transferred, their shift is ending.I will still advocate sticking with the truth and damning the consequence though.........Really pissed. |
Is the US loosing its appeal for foreign students or they are not issuing enough student visas?. Visit the US embassy, SAT and GMAT centers ,maybe we will come up with a different article. ![]() |
I don't know what wilson is doing on that pitch, he hasn't done anything so far. Let's see Falcao |
9jabiggurl:I will suggest you visit the local social security office to track the card when next you visit the US. Go along with your ID and that of the father of course. |
Tallesty1:Classic, Epic .......... . Poster don't joke with this comment. |
9jabiggurl:I dont clearly understand your question as some words are missing but I guess you are worried that your son's Social security number may be exposed . There is no need to panic if the person who collected if for you is trustworthy. But ensure to regularly follow up with the fifth point in the article for better assurance. Most people apply for SSN in the hospital while processing the birth certificate. I guess you ticked the box for Social security card without knowing. The processing time in each state also differ hence the reason it arrived much later. All in all don't panic. |
Hello Guys. Sorry about the denial Sisi,i replied one of your queries but am not sure you checked it. Had Lots of free time on my hand today. So i decided to read more on Identity Theft in the US, i found that this issue is more alarming than we imagined. God bless @Fairyprincess for bringing it up. The article below summarises the steps to be taken to protect your child's identity. He that hath an ear let him hear and for those who give out their Child's SSN to relatives for tax returns may God help you. Source: http://www.wikihow.com/Protect-Your-Child-from-Identity-Theft How to Protect Your Child from Identity Theft In 2005, five percent of the complaints the US Federal Trade Commission received regarding identity theft were from individuals younger than 18. In some cases, children in the 0-5 age group have been heavily targeted because the theft is less likely to be noticed for some time.Vulnerable to identity theft due to age, spotless records and low detection rates, 140,000 children are victims of child identity theft in the United States every year. It's another side of raising children to bear in mind so that your child isn't a victim of identity theft before they've even left home. If your child starts out with a bad credit report, it can make matters very difficult when trying to get a job, take out a car or student loan or obtaining a mortgage. Worse still, they can be harassed lifelong about debts they've never even accumulated! However, parents are not powerless and can take the steps outlined in this article to safeguard their child's identity. 1. Keep Your Child's Important Papers, Including Birth Certificate, Passport (If They Have One) And Social Security Card Locked Up In A Safe Place. Anything that has personal identifiers and could be used as identification needs to be kept safe. If you need to take these documents anywhere for proof of your child's identity, always know where they are and remember to bring them back home with you after showing them. Never carry your child’s social security card in your wallet. Keep it in a secure place, preferably in a safe at home. 2. When A Business Asks For A Social Security Number For Your Child, Always Ask Them Why They Need It. In the United States, you will be asked for your child's social security number even more often than for the birth certificate. Many businesses, especially hospitals and doctors’ offices, still use social security numbers as identifiers. Keep a record of who has the social security number of your child. Should anything untoward happen, this might help investigations into tracking down the culprit. A simple list kept with the birth certificate and social security number file will suffice; just remember to jot it down each time the number has been shared with a relevant authority. 3. Refuse To Give Out Your Child's Birth Certificate Or Social Security Number Unless Absolutely Necessary. The use of this number should only be official or professional purposes, such as when you enroll your children in school, get them a passport, pay taxes, open financial accounts, or apply for their first driver’s license. If the number is requested by an organization or person who wouldn't normally receive the number, demand official identification and seek a valid reason for sharing it. Privacy advocates advise being skeptical when asked for the social security number when there is no apparent need for it, such as church groups and vacation camps.[2] 4. Make Sure That Any Activity Your Child Participates In Uses The Information Properly And Handles It With Care. For example, it is expected that a sports institution will handle the information confidentially, as sports teams often require a birth certificate for sign up. Expect the same for clubs, associations and any other activity you sign your child up for. • Ask how the information is stored, in what format and what safeguards are in place during storage. • Ask for reassurance of the continued confidentiality of the information. • Ask them how they plan to dispose of the information after it's no longer needed. Nothing beyond proper shredding (cross-shredding with other information)[2] or return of all originals or copies is acceptable unless legislation lays out an alternative means. 5. Check your child's social security earnings record. Many identity thefts go undetected because parents don't assume that the child even has a credit or earnings report.[2] Requesting these regularly can allow you to get on top of theft quickly. It is recommended that you: • Request an annual Social Security Earnings record. This is the most important thing to keep track of because it can alert you if someone uses your child's Social Security to obtain a job. To request a report, call 1-800-772-1213 or visithttp://www.ssa.gov/online/ssa-7004.html. • Request a free credit report each year for your child from each of the three major credit reporting companies, Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion annually. Credit agencies don't begin a credit history on an individual until particular details are used to open a credit account. This information can include name, age, address and Social Security number. Bear in mind that this check may not alert you to abuse because names and birth dates may have been changed,[2]so use the SSN check foremost. 6. Educate Your Children About Safe Internet Use. Teach them to keep all personal information private when they are online. Social networking sites are havens for identity thieves scanning these sites and children can innocently provide information without thinking if they haven't been alerted about what to recognize and avoid in advance. 7.Keep Your Computer Virus Software And Defenses Up To Date At All Times. For many people, identity theft has occurred through cyber-attacks in which the children's identifying information has been lifted from hacked computers. Always keep your computer anti-virus and anti-malware programs up-to-date. • Consider not keeping anything that identifies your child in this way on a computer that accesses the internet. If you want to keep it in electronic form, keep it on a standalone computer that doesn't get connected to the internet. • Avoid posting photos of your children online. There are many good reasons for resisting doing this and this is another one, especially if geo-coding gives away the residential zone of your child. |
fadekx:Fill his clinic details as organisation contact . You can fill Intown or crossland in Houston as where to stay |
fadekx:What do you need the contact for? If it's for your visa interview fill in his clinic details. If it's on your landing card then fill in your accommodation details. On a side note; This man is making some serious money o. All the houston residents that my wife has met know him and they feel he should leave the practice for others as he has made enough money already! I hope his service won't drop at some point sha! ![]() |
fairyprincess:Haba, calm down now. You've given a good insight that might not have crossed people's mind. Because most peoples just birth, collect blue P and leave the USA no thought is given to the SSN. We gat your back, more of such insights. ![]() |
Francutok: cfcchick:She made a valid point one needs to guard the SSN properly . Besides whoever uses another child's SSN got their reward already so no favors was done, that's pure greed, nothing to be thankful for. Personally,I dont believe in staying with family and friends for childbirth ,people should only go that route if they are very close and trustworthy relatives. I dont like unnecessary drama. |
hopefulme:Hi Hopefulme, Have you reapplied after the initial denial. I am interested in your testimony. Dont give up, been looking out for your comment. |
Fruitilicious:I salute you o, Brain pass brain. I knew you would come up with the page. Pls don't eat Gnut whenever you are needed, it will reduce some repetitions. |
Phema:Jeeezzuuuzzz, ![]() |
AyaSho:You need to locate @Fruitilicious , the woman knows what's on every page of this thread. |
PrinceAdeAde:It's a personal opinion because you don't go home with tax, you only take home your disposable income. Gross or net income isn't something to worry over because the tax amount is minimal. But if gross income makes you more comfortable use it. Like I told you before there are no hard and fast rule to establishing financial ties. Cheers. |
SisiOlu:This little insight I have on this. For interview dates before December 1st,2014 i.e from January to November 2014, it is possible to edit an already filled DS160 form while still using the appointment date that you already booked. So it means you could go for your interview with 2 different numbers on your appointment page and DS160 page. However, there is a new policy which requires you to book another appointment and fill another DS160 form if you want to effect any change after December 1st. Which means they now require you to have the same number on your DS160 and appointment confirmation. You can't edit your profile on the appointment confirmation. And about the income declaration, you are supposed to declare your net income after tax so you ain't far from the actual thing. The help desk cannot help you fill your form. The options open to you Is what I have written above. So you might as well leave your form the way it is or else you will schedule a new appointment and pay new fees. |
bloggerina:Mon ami the professor, thanks for the warm wishes ,good to read from you again. Like you rightly said Houston is the new MIHS lol, the only difference are the multiple hospitals. Naija no dey carry last at all. My Friend told me there is only one naija momma left in crossland before now they were up to 24. Whether na El paso , houston , Atlanta or MIHS may God bless our hustle is all I can say. ![]() |

Fourlar:This your agent should be arranged on a bench and flogged severally because this is wickedness |
If you were my son, i would slap you back to reality because it seems this girl had you hooked to some cheap local juju. YOU ARE THE SIDE GUY, i thought its only guys who keep side chicks but this girl has broken records. Delete her from your life henceforth,if not she will use your money to plan her wedding with another guy. Her own day of reckoning will come but take the little pride you have and kill that yeye love. Things dey happen sha. |
MamaTobenna:I cant remember accurately but i just checked my statement online and saw $300 as initial deposit. My safest guess is that it was below $500. Latolly:Kisses Ke? You wan make your oga at the top pour hot water for my head? . Best of luck at your interview. |
kingsdaughter:Thanks. Except the rules have changed you dont need a SSN to open an account. Go there with your international passport and explain you are not a permanent resident of the USA,they know what to do. The debit and credit cards will be issued within a week. They will place a limit of $300 on your credit card which you can review later. I hardly use the Credit card because of charges ,the debit card is sufficient. |
Latolly:Yes hubby should fill thesame even if he has other plans for his trip. It shows you ain't hiding your intention. The VO will use his/her discretion to place him on B1/B2, while adding childbirth to your own profile. |
Latolly:@Ayasho and Mabel.....Amen and Thanks @Latolly , sorry you haven't been answered lol. You can fill any of the options it depends on why you are applying and how you wanna present your case.If your application is for childbirth then it's advisable that you fill your hospital or doctor's address. Your residential address will be the last option here. |
Shawbabe:@Patty&Feddy, You are welcome. You will have better stories to share by his grace. @Shawbabe. I will advise you go with most of your cash in hand. But if you insist on going with The BoA cards you can print your bank statement till date and show them your current balance. |
