24en: A week to go for interview i pray for those that have had their visa approved and for us still waiting to have our interviews i pray the house should pray for us.

pjogutum1: @Rotexmo: Good evening everybody....Please I rescheduled my interview cos permission to attend was not approved at my place of work.....The interview was meant to take place yesterday and i rescheduled on Monday.....This was the reply i got from the embassy:

'Thank you for your email. All slots are now filled and we are unable to accommodate your request for a change of date.

Sincerely'

Please is there anything else that can be done or i just screwed up the opportunity...note that it will be my first time of rescheduling.

If you ask me, I think you don’t need the visa. What permission at work place are you talking about? If you don’t go to work that particular day what will happen?l call this wasted effort. You have answered the question yourself, “I just screwed up the opportunity” big time.

I'm using below example for your understanding.
The name i was registered with is Diamond, Adeleke Michael
My credentials carried Diamond, Leke Olamide
I bear all the name though.
I've been able to get my NPC birth cert and international passport to carry the names as Diamond, Adeleke Michael Olamide and also included Olamide as other name in the forms i sent to KCC. My concern now is my results that carry Diamond, Leke Olamide.
Do i need to get an affidavit for change of name from Diamond, Leke Olamide to Diamond, Adeleke Michael Olamide?

our testimony goes thus
me and my wife had our interview today 17th july 2013.this is our interview experience
We arrive at the US embassy Lagos @ 5:10am.we approach the security man about our interview of 7am.we were told to wait under the tree till around 6.00am when they will come around to address us.The mopol at the embassy start the security check of their own by 6:10am. after a thorough security check at various stages.we were led into the interview hall.we enter the interview hall me and my wife by 7:16am.after sitting for like 10 minutes we were ask to pay the visa fee of $330 each of which amount to #109,000.00.we paid and collect our receipt.we were ask to sit down so that they can collect our documents.do you know that we were not called so that our document could be collected.we waited for almost 4 hrs our document was not collected even people b4 us and after us has been interviewed.we were like what is happening.we approach the security man in the hall to complain to him, he was not friendly in his answer he only say they will call us.when he got to a point i have to tell my wife been the principal applicant to approach the lady collecting the document of others on window 17 to complain.she was so surprised that our document has not been collected.she ask us if we drop our appointment letter at security check.we said no.she now said that was why our number has not been called.she collect the appointment letter from my wife and ask her to sit down.after about 5min she called us to come and submit our document which we did.after about 5 min again we were called for the interview proper at window 14.EVERYBODY LOOK LOOK SEE WHAT THE LORD HAS DONE........ .our interview goes thus

ME: yes i do.(This question came up becos immediately i did my finger print he saw it on their system that i have been to the embassy before for one Visa application.my People could u believe i did this student interview visa in abuja nigeria and now am in lagos for DV interview my application still come up.actually my student visa application did not go thru then.)my people america dey keep information ooooooooooooooo.please always say the truth to them.they love that.
CO:am going to approve your visa.he just gave us the paper to collect it and the information on how we pay our green card fee of $165
my people of nairaland this is how we pack our document run commot for in front before he change in mind.our album full of our pictures starting from our courtship days till date we did not even open it.
we just thatnk God for the success.let be truthful in all we say to them and be prayerful.it is well.i wish those that have not gone for their own interview success.it is well with everybody in this forum.shalom

anjolaoluwadv13: Yes they will,the purpose of doing another passport is due to change of name.My old passport that carries my own surname is yet to expire but had to go for another one that carries my husband surname.Aside from this US IMMIGRANT VISA INTERVIEW WE ARE ALL GOING FOR, THERE IS NO OTHER CATEGORY OF VISA INTERVIEW U WILL GO FOR THAT WILL ACCEPT A PASSPORT THAT DOES NOT HAVE YOUR CURRENT NAME IN THIS KIND OF SITUATION OF OURS(CHANGE OF NAME DUE TO MARRIAGE).

anjolaoluwadv13: @joexploit,ithink the best thing to do is to have an int'l passport that carries her husband surname if you still have the time.I had to go for a new passport too to cut off any form of delay on the day of the interview since this fiscal year is almost gone.Let her do a change of name that will be placed on a national daily,which you will take with you to immigration office for a new passport.Make sure its a VIP processing u are doing that will come out in two days.Cheers!

Wife to is fully prepared with all her docs

Baby too is prepared with her passport and birth cert (my little daughter with only two docs *wink*)

Simple interview: All security protocol observed, visa processing fee paid in Naira 218,000 for four persons, credentials submitted in window 12. At 10:01 my number B424 shows at window 14, I told my wife the interview was over that we are already in the US.

Me and family: Good morning CO

CO: Good morning is this the Ogt family

We: Yes

CO: ok is these the forms you submitted

We: Yes

CO: sign the forms

We: signed

CO: Prince, what is your highest qualification

Me: MBA

CO: what course?

Me: Business Administration

CO: which year did you graduate?

Me: 2007/2008 session

CO: which school?

Me: ESUT

CO: What do you do?

Me: I worked as an IT help-desk analyst with Shell Port Harcourt.

CO: That’s correct I can see that all your documentation is in order (pointing to my daughter and calling her name) is
this AWEF?

We: yes

CO: do you have family pictures you snapped together

My wife: Yes ( she opened the album and showed the CO)

CO: congratulation pick up your visa next week, he gave me two white papers and that’s all. I was with my family all through. All this happened in less than 3mins. I thank all Nairalanders for their support and love showed me and my family before and after the interview I love you all. Reporting live from Ikeja Lagos.

remkay2012: First, I would like to appreciate almighty God for His mercy and favour upon my family during our interview on 11th of June. I also appreciate my good friend Gentiger for his personal support and my big friend Temmytanny and all members of this forum. Infact, you guys are doing great.

We arrived U.S embassy around 5:45a.m on that very day. Then my wife was 9month old pregnant. After normal security inspection we moved in into the interview hall where we are the second candidate to be attended to. We submitted our necessary documents such as 1. Original Certificate of my wife as main applicant. 2.Our wedding Certificate, 3. All our international passports 4. 3 copies of our 2x2 passport photographs. 5 NPC attestation(Abeokuta) for me and my wife and NPC birth certificate for our baby. 5 Police report for me and my wife 6. Medical report for the entire family (3 in number).

We are called to window 14 by around 8:30a.m. Our interview was brief and short as stated below:

Co: Good Morning
Me and my wife: Good morning Sir, how was night?
Co: Fine thank you with smile.
Me: I raise my daughter up and asked her to say HI to the Co.
My daughter: Hi
Co: Hi with excitement.
Co: He showed us all our forms that we sent to kcc for confirmation.
We: yes
Co: He asked us to do finger print and normal oath that what is in the forms are very correct.
We: Yes
Co: Who is the main applicant
We: My wife
Co: Highest Education
My wife: S.S.C.E
Co: Year
My wife: 19... but I submitted GCE of 19....
Co: Do you have you school cert with you
My wife: She presented it with just only 2 credits (He collected it and return it back).
Co: I can see that you are pregnant
My wife: Yes
Co: When is the due time.
My told him: Next week.
Co: I will return all your passport to you and your original document and return immediately you deliver your baby for your visas.
We: No, We want you to issue for 3 of us first and later we will bring our baby for her visa.
Co: He said we should not worried that he will issue for the entire family when we return. (He returned all our documents as he stated).
We: Okay.
Co: He gave a white paper stating that we should return any day from Monday to Thursday 7:00 a.m with the following document 1. International Passport for the entire family, 2. Birth certificate for the new baby, 3. Medical report for the new baby and 4. payment for the baby.

Glory be to God almighty, we had our baby the following week of our interview. After the naming ceremony,we quickly get the necessary documents for the baby including the international passport.

On Monday 8th July we returned back to the embassy. We submitted all required documents for the baby and international passports for the entire family.

Co: Welcome back and congratulations for the new born baby(Window 14)
We: Thank you.
Co: Is the the form for your new baby.
We: Yes
Co: Somebody should sign for your baby.
I: I did.
Co: I can see you baby was born on .......
We: Yes
Co: Congratulation to the entire family.

He circle the address for collection of our visa and any form for payment of immigration fee. That is all about the interview.

We had interview together with Jinny123 and mata1ng the same day.

Co: wat ur higest level of qualificatn? Me: B A masscommnicatn. Co: did u do ur NYSC Me: yes. Co: where did u serve? Me: at crossrivers state. Co: wat did u do there? Co: i taught in a school. Co: u taught? Me: yes Co: wat did u teach? Me: english. He nodded his head here. Co: are u working now? Me: yes co: where me: i told him where am currently working. Co: ok good. Go to dis address and pick up ur visa. I just collect the two forms frm him and i left. D police man wey i give my phone to, i just dash the guy one thousAnd naira. Dat how it all went
