Ufemia26: So sorry dear. I had similar experience. My mom's was refused as well. I filled that she is self employed but I didn't back it up with supporting document. What I noticed is this; people who select the option of unemployed for their mom tend to get their visas approved. Selecting employed with documents to back it up works too. But you see that self-employed, omo... I think fails should you not back it up with lots of supporting documents.
May I know the list of documents you submitted for your mom?
How long did you say she would be staying in UK? Thanks very much These are the documents submitted My payslip and that of wife Children birth certificate Alot of pictures for home ties Land documents for home ties also Market women association letter Mummys statement of acct with 1million intact A very detailed Cover letters. However I want to reapply but this time I will say she is unemployed. Hope I have a chance |

puffmama: You will need to upload all your docs yourself before biometrics unless you want to pay abt 12k for assisted service .then you can take them with you on the day of your biometrics. Even if your sponsor is paying for all , you can still attach your bank statement especially if you are working, this will show you have ties here , and your salary is being paid . You should also get an introduction letter from your office , your pay slips , staff ID card. Provide an itinerary of what you plan to do during your visit .
Your sponsor will also need to provide his bank statement and not just the invitation letter , utility bill and if possible his pay stub, And also write a sponsorship letter that he will be fully responsible for the flight , accomodation ,feeding etc and a consent letter to use his statement since you are the one uploading it . My mom visiting visa was rejected this morning upon all the documents provided. I don't even know what to do.

jaidor: Good Afternoon bosses, Please I need a clarification here... Apparently, I got an unconditional offer from University of Bolton. However, there's a slight confusion, I did not receive any official email from them regarding the offer. I only realized that I have been offered the admission when I logged into my portal. And even after accepting the offer (from my portal) I have not seen the main offer letter anywhere in the portal, neither did I get an email to that effect.
But "admission decision" on the portal now shows "unconditional offer" and response shows "Firmly accepted" .
Dunno if this is normal for university of Bolton. I have tried to call the school admissions office, but the calls are not answered. I sent an email, and the response to the mail was for me to call another number, which they are still not picking up.
Any advice further please? Anyone experiencing same from University of Bolton here? Check you mail for the conditinal admission letter. Im January intake |
