Abeg somebody should educate me. Isn't it a better option to use the coast to transport products to places like PH, Calabar and Warri?

I was talking about the core civil servants in MDAs. The situation in state's tertiary institutions is terrible. That means a Level 8 secondary school teacher now earns more than a poly lecturer.

Let me tell you the tricks they play. Technically, Primary school teachers are under the employ of the LGs. So when they were implementing the minimum wage they left them out and only activated the new wage for core state govt workers. Meanwhile same governor is cornering all the LG allocations to the centre. Also, the only workers who got a significant raise in their pay where those earning less than 70k before the new wage. As for those earning more, most got an increment of less than 5k. Uba Sani leadership thrives on propaganda. He over exaggerates every little thing he does. The state has really retrogressed in terms of governance.

Everybody just dey applaud but there are important questions to be asked. Is Lagos to Abuja 479km even if a straight road? Even if it's so how can it be done in 4 hrs? The main thing sef is about the financing from this non-descriptive entity. $5b is not chicken change that such an entity can go to the markets and source. Even a whole Nigerian governments would hustle to obtain such financing.

BY the way I'm yet to fathom why this govt especially Umahi is obsessed with giant projects that are mostly not realistic looking at our financial encumbrances. Lagos - Calabar, Sokoto-Badagry, Trans Sahara etc.

That's good. However, more details are needed to gauge whether there's progress or not. For example, showing us a 1km stretch of stone base for a project of 100km which has expended 20 percent of its duration, will show that the work is off track.

The last reasonable IGP Nigeria had was Tafa Balogun, since then it has been politicized and police used to enable crime than fight it.

The truth is that only 4 Nigerian Airports are viable and make profit . The profit they make is spread and used to sustain the other 20 -30 Airports. 70% of people use Lagos Airport and the truth is that profit from Lagos Airport alone is used to sustain more than half of all other Airports. So tell me why it should not be well funded. If you keep sucking it dry without major renovation then we all are in problem. This is the first major renovation in almost 40 years so why should any dumb head complain. That Airport must be well funded,modernized and totally remodelled . North brings only 10% of our GDP yet they take more than half of the sharings and yet they complain.

Buhari fully constructed the Lagos to Ibadan railway. He also completed Warri to Itakpe line. Within that period, there was no railway completed in North. Note that Abuja to Kaduna railway achieved 90% completion during GEJ. It was towards the tail end of Buhari's admin that they began Kano to Kaduna and Kano to Maradi rail lines.

This particular road is one reason why I insist that Tinubu's hurriedly-packed Lagos-Calabar road is not a feasible project. The Bodo Bonny road has been under construction for at least a decade by a good contractor. Yet it's not completed. And it'sless than 50km! And it has reportedly gulped more than 300 million Dollars! With all these, how do you handle a 700km road?
