PoliticsRe: National Good Governance Tour Abuja Town Hall Meeting. Exclusive!!! by ubandire(m): 1:16am On Sep 27, 2012
When a govt is set to work, it's easy to know. Every department devises a means to flow with the vision. This tour is a remarkable initiative by a Minjster of information who is keen on transformation.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan's Speech At The UN General Assembly by ubandire(m): 6:18pm On Sep 26, 2012
I am sure that most people on this thread cannot even comprehend the speech let alone analyse it.
Some people are just like robots who have been programmed to attack anything GEj so am not surprised over the useless and negative comments I see over such a wonderful speech.
Mr president, I hail thee. Whether they like it or not, there's no vacancy in Aso Rock 2015
PoliticsRe: Maku Apologises To Senate Over Statement by ubandire(m): 6:09pm On Sep 26, 2012
I have read through that report. There is nothing there to suggest that Maku apologized to the senate remorsefully.
If somebody is quoted in the press and he still stands by what he said, it cannot be an apology. The so called apology is a carricuture one that was just issued from the lips.
It was just a diplomatic apology meant to prevent unnecessary political bickering between both arms. But we all know the truth. Maku said the truth.

PoliticsRe: National Media Tour Of Projects In FCT - Day 3 by ubandire(m): 2:54pm On Sep 24, 2012
banki: continue to lie to yourselves so all of a sudden all the other administrations did not do anythying in Abuja? infact i saw on one of the pictures the new 10 story Churchgate towers a private project has now become part of what government has achieved, now all of a sudden you believe GEJ admisistration is better than all the other leaders combined i believe that is for people of nigeria to discuss....

Thye should go by road to the next state Kogi just beside abuja inspect the lokoja abuja express... tell us what they are doing about the flood, the road the fact that nigerians were trapped on the road for 2days please spare me this nonsence of this government performance because as far as I am conceredned they are only working on the pages of newspapers.... FCT tour my Foot we in Abuja know that Bala Mohammed has turned our clean Abuja to a big refuse dump, there are beggers on the streets, street hawking is now normal, mass transit is useless, and yet all he can boast about as achivement is turning Maitama to Goodluck Jonathan Boulevald and alllocating turais stolen wealth to patience....
I case u r hard of hearing or u r simply blind to the truth cos of bias,u would have noticed the tour just started with the FCT,and will progress to other states of the federation, according to the hon Min.Labaran Maku,,a man who I've come to have so much respect for,the tour is in partnership with the state govs,so all states will be visited, not leaving any out.So if u ain't in Abuja I advice u wait wherever u are the train will surely get to u,and when it gets to where u are try and follow up as it is non discriminating,u will be welcome with ur questions and suggestions if u really have any.

I must commend the Hon.Minister for initiating such laudable project,in line with the vision of this wonderful administration.Keep it up.
PoliticsRe: National Media Tour Of Projects In FCT - Day 3 by ubandire(m): 7:42pm On Sep 23, 2012
EPOMA: All these projects look like project that should undertaken by a local governmnt in Nigeria, with the amount of money spent in Nigeria , I would expect to see big project like in Barhain, dubia, lebanon in which Nigeria have money more than and spend money more than. A good government does not even need to have a media tour
Shut up if you don't have anything left in your senses to talk. What is Local Government projects about these projects? Can a local Government build a sub power station? Can a local government develop an industrial estate as big as Idu and Karimo? Can a local Government construct the inner southern expressway to southern parkway measuring over 45km each with 41 bridges? The National Trauma Centre has the capacity for 100 consultant doctors and set to be the highest in the country. What about the railways?
Like I said, if you don't have any senses left, please shut up

PoliticsRe: National Media Tour Of Projects In FCT - Day 3 by ubandire(m): 9:00pm On Sep 22, 2012
I appreciate what Mr Maku is doing. He should keep it up. I say this because he is one minister of information of a kind.
He has a way of silencing critics with facts and figures. He is not lousy like most of his predecessors including Dora-the parrot.
If it were other information ministers, they will be disturbing our ear drums with all manner of slogans and adverts. Good nation this. Good people that. They will spend our precious money to print stickers and flyers in support of their sloganeering agenda.
But now we have an information Minister who relates with the public without unnecessary propaganda and sloganeering. Earlier this year, he ORGANISED a ministerial platform where all ministers came to render an account of their stewardship. The public had the opportunity to interact with the ministers on their activities and programmes. Remarkable.
Barely 4 months later, he is on the streets showcasing the achievements of president Goodluck Jonathan. This one is no longer hearsay but eye say. See for yourself.
PoliticsRe: New Pics Of National Media Tour -day 2 by ubandire(m): 7:22am On Sep 22, 2012
Has any previous administration In this country taken out time to sensitize the people on projects being executed, there's so much transparency in this GEJ led govt, that u tend to forget u are actually in Nigeria,a very clear departure from the past, when govt brandished achievements only on paper.

This is Change we can see, unless bias is ur second name, the transformation agenda is really on track.
PoliticsRe: Igbo Must Be President In 2015 – Orji Uzor Kalu by ubandire(m): 6:16pm On Sep 21, 2012
dayokanu: One minute they are supporting Jonathan for 2015, Next minute they are clamouring for Igbo presidency, the next they want Biafra.

Seems like mental retardation and Short attention Span is ravaging Alayibo
Everyone is entitled to their own views,OUK just expressed his it does not in any way reflect the position of the ibo race,at least the ibos have divergent views not like their coward brothers in the western part of southern Nigeria, who whip up ethnic sentiment and invoke the spirit of a dead man to win election in their tribal enclave.

Talking about retardation,it's a path u are conversant with,so u could actually suggest it cos u know the symptoms.Lunatic

1025: what is ur definition of a national party and how does that concern winning a free and fair election?
at the end of the day, nigerians will tell u they don't vote party rather the candidates. even if we have a good man from a village party, can't we vote him instead of these criminals from ur so-called national party.
i don't know ur involvement(s) in politics but i can authoritatively and convincingly discuss argue the fact that pdp is not even a political party. if you doubt that, i will be here to discuss that with u any day any time.
So what's pdp?

How would human beings in their right senses wish someone death?and besides the first lady's health shouldn't be politicized, the first lady has no constitutional role to play so there's no vacuum anywhere, people who compare this to the yaradua situation have obviously lost it due to blind hatred.God will surely vist all of u with what u've wished ur fellow human being.

banki: so you think the 2011 election was free and fair....... well am sure you didnt see videos of a commisoner in rivers voting multiple times to help ensure a landslide victorey,

Am sure you dont know that the national treasury was emptied for he elections and the campaingns that was free and fair, thats why we have the subsidy probe......

free and fair indeed, JONATHAN CANNOT WIN A FREE AND FAIR ELECTION, let me ask you if you were given fashola or jonathan to pick from who would be your choice
@least all observers both local and foreign and even the opposition agree that is the freest and fairest elections we've witnessed in this country,
Elections go beyond noise making on the pages of newspapers and other media,GEJ will defeat an ACN fashola any day, any time and any where. It's not by governing only Lagos.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Cannot Win In Free And Fair Election-buhari by ubandire(m): 12:31pm On Sep 12, 2012
samguru: i think ACN is evolving from the regional political status to national, therefore come 2015,ACN will really slug it out with PDP
Daydreamers wake up,Gen Buhari can't win my humble self in a free and fair election, talkless of GEJ,nobody wants a tribalistic and ethnic bigot, bloodsucker as president. So let it sink into his head.
@op in ur delusion u referred to the one man ACN as a national party, that's the biggest joke i have heard in recent times, where else in the country if not south west is the ACN presence felt?

Please if u want to post any topic try as much as possible to be objective so that ur post won't be ridiculed.

PoliticsRe: "We're Yet To Reap The Benefits Of Jonathan In Power" - South-south Leaders by ubandire(m): 11:51pm On Sep 08, 2012
Dollarman101: Abeg make we hear word from all these old politicians. Support today, condemn tomorrow! Wetin they want make GEJ do for them after one year? Transform NIGERDELTA to Dubai?
They are high on Ogogoro. Nigeria not Nigerdelta is Jonathan's constituency. They must understand this and stop whinning like kindergarten kids.

East west road that they mentioned had issues arising from the first award by Obj. Only last week, the FG announced the re award of that road under SURE P. if I were them, I would rather concentrate on monitoring the execution of that project as soon as possible. But they will prefer to hang around Aso Rock for pocket money.
The biggest beneficiary of PIB if passed will be the people of NIGERDELTA. We are the ones who will occupy the stipulated 25% stake in ownership of oil ompanies exploring oil in the region. We are the ones who will reap from the new legislations on gas flaring.
Jonathan strategically integrated our brothers and ex militants into safeguarding the waterways for oil exploration and shipment. This step has not only enriched some of our brothers but has increased oil production to a record of 2.7 million barrels per day for the overall interest of Nigeria.

Jonathan has started two federal universities in both Bayelsa and Delta state. The Nigetian law school has a opened a campus in Bayelsa. Kolo-Nembe-Brass is seriously under construction. The Benin-Ore road which was awarded and undergoing construction by this government will serve the people of Niger Delta. The power plants in Ughelli, calabar, IHOVBOR, Afam, and Sapele gas plants have all been refurbished under jonathan.

Are we not enjoying the improvement in power supply? Come to Uyo, we have light for an average of 18 hours per day. Make dem give jonathn chance abeg to continue his privatision
I doubt if E K Clark is behind these comments credited to him . He should know better. The People of Niger Delta are happy with Jonathan . They are slowly taking over the federal ministries, departments and agencies.
PoliticsRe: CPC Chieftain Accuses GEJ Of Drinking Kain Kain, Throws Tantrums by ubandire(m): 11:41pm On Sep 08, 2012
dedeike: El Rufai is not happy and understandably so. This a man who returned from exile and expected a heroic welcome and a political appointment from a man who shared his sympathy as Obj boys. But what he got in return was shocking- a criminal charge for the fraud he perpetrated in office as FCT minister.

There's no way he will love a government that could not compromise his trial on the altar of friendship. Today, he is jobless and unlike his contemporary Ribadu, the govt has not approached him to head at least a sub committee. It's frustrating hence the resort to twitter.

Initially when the twitter blackmail started, it yielded the desired results in demonising GEJ and added more followers to his account. It was fun grin.
However, the law of diminishing returns has set in. The lies, half truths and blackmail have reached it's highest point and now counter productive.

In the face of serious improvements in power supply nationwide, award of several federal road projects, rehabilitation of railways, remodeling and reconstruction of 11 major airports including a new award for construction of 11 new terminals with cargo terminals, establishment of new federal universities, Agricultural reforms, Energy reforms through formulation of New PIB, prosecution of subsidy oil thieves and implementation of the AIG reports on subsidy, power reforms and ongoing privatisation of PHCN; EL Rufai has run out of what to criticise.

He is now chasing shadows and mud raking. I do not begrudge him. That is the only straw left for him to cling on before he drowns in the murky waters of Nigerian politics.
Don't mind the jobless man.

PoliticsRe: Why Must Buhari Be The President For Nigeria To Be Good? by ubandire(m): 2:15pm On Sep 03, 2012
if the aim of this post is to relaunch general buhari to relevance then it has obviously failed cos we are not fools in this country, someone who naturally should be languishing in jail for inciting and instigating violence that has shed so much blood on the land, can't be thrown up as a potential presidential material,so to me no need commenting over a dead issue.Buhari can never be elected president in Nigeria,we are not fools.

Let's not forget president jonathan is only in his first term in office, and also performing creditably well so to me unless he decides not to contest the 2015 election, there's no need discussing successors cos as we all know, there's no need changing a winning team.
PoliticsRe: Presidency : Time To Remove Fuel Subsidy by ubandire(m): 5:11pm On Sep 01, 2012
Dollarman101: The removal of subsidy is long overdue. No economy can ever grow under this arrangement were a quarter of national budget is used to subsidize one product.
The subsidy thing encourages importation and kills local production. I undertstand the govt under Obj issued licenses for people to build private refineries but all of the beneficiaries abandoned it in favour of importation.
In a business sense, It's more profitable to import than to start building refineries which is capital intensive and can only yield returns at the long run. The best thing is to close subsidy so that real investors can come in to build refineries as it is the practice globally. Government should not have any business in the oil sector apart from regulatory role.
When subsidy goes, it will pave way for deregulation of the downstream sector. Let market forces and competition between the private refineries dictate pump price, not the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Those who are deceiving the masses with the gist that subsidy withdrawal is anti people will be shocked when their predictions of doom fail. Because when private refineries come on board, there won't be need for importation so prices will even fall far below the current rate. In addition, there will be massive employment opportunities for Nigerian youths in the private refineries.
