omodapson: I am wondering what the average life span of a car could be. From articles I have read on the internet, the average life of a car is put at around 15years or 200,000miles having considered adequate servicing. Although I have seen cars that have lasted longer than 30years in Nigeria but this usually comes at a very high price if you consider the economic factors. It depends on your maintenance culture |
Age is an issue. I think Chelsea is trying to reorganize. The loan deal is good for Essien who appears to have dropped in the pecking order to Mikel. The Real Madrid option will help him return to form after going down due to injuries. |
NDIGBO have found a beloved son in Jonathan. We will only contest seriously in 2015 if he's not interested in seeking another term. If Jonathan decides to contest in 2015, I can assure you that NDIGBO will support him. The Ohaneze Sec Gen can be diplomatic in his speech about Such support so as not to sound so cheap and premature. But that is the prevalent mood in the East. Peter Obi and Arthur Eze re echoed this much yesterday. For the benefit of doubt, I seek to reproduce the reasons I gave in the other thread for NDIGBO's preference for JONA. We have never had it so good in appointments. Our son is an army service chief for the first Time in history. All our ministers are grade A ministers with Grade A portfolios. Our daughter is the co ordinating minister/prime minister. Our son is the SGF. Our daughters head immigrations, SEC, and other big agencies. Our son is the DG NYSC. our daughter is Aviation Minister and has shut down Enugu Airport completely for overhaul. Last month, Aba depot started operations after many years of neglect. Owerri-Onitsha has been pursued vigorously and nearing completion. Onitsha -Owerri is undergoing slow rehabilitation. 9th mile was refurbished for use. Second Niger bridge awarded. New projects and refineries been commissioned by Jonathan in Anambra. Power has improved in the south East significantly. our son was given an opportunity to spearhead the reforms in power sector and will come back to own the emerging power companies in a post privatisation era. It's obvious in the way GEJ spoke glowingly of him in Anambra. The devil we know is better than the angel we don't know. We stand by GEJ |
Mr. Peter Obi and Arthur Eze spoke our minds. Jonathan deserves another term. He has really tried. We have never had it so good in appointments. dedeike: Mr president, I believe you. And I have never been ashamed nor afraid to say it.Wonderfully scripted. Keep giving us the hard facts while the others keep sending useless pics and insults. |
dedeike: The topic is a hybrid of half truths, objective criticisms and innuendos.Jonathan is really working. Haters please stay away |
These are indeed Interesting times in the lives of our nation. Before our very eyes 'korokoro' we are seeing unbelievable things happening. I recall when the FG started this subsidy probes by AIG and all, many had faint regard for the process. We thought it was one of those stunts by the FG intended to pool the wool over our eyes. But here we are. We are not only seeing the AIG report being implemented (as some marketers are beginning to refund their stolen subsidy funds).we are also seeing the trial of accused persons in the subsidy scam. Sons of leaders of the ruling Party-PDP are in court. Not ACN, CPC but PDP. interesting. I know some haters will flood in to say my celebration is premature. I agree. They can wait, like doubting thomases, for judgement day. But I'm excited that the anti graft train is moving steadily in the oil sector. The refusal to grant the accused person's application, inspite of their background or influence, is a major station in this track. |
Biggyd2: Yes, we have been praying Sir. Infact our knees are now sore from kneeling. We are still praying but we understand that our prayers should be backed up with acts from our government. Why won't the government provide us with the security that it promised us? I am sure that if your promise before election was that Nigerians will get security by "simply praying", you wouldn't have been voted President of the FRN!Just a minute,QUE:Has the FG not been providing us with the security it promised us,look around you, apart from Boko haram which it is fighting with everything it has got,and has even gone as far condescending to the level of negotiating with them, just for peace to reign,i mean how do you stop a man from blowing up himself with a bomb he made in his KITCHEN ,anyway where I leave there is security,if those mallus want to continue blowing themselves up they can be my guests, when it comes to theft, random kidnapping, cult war or clash, what are your state governors doing,do you know how much they each collect every month as security votes, what do they do with it,are they not the c.s.o's of their various states, that is the more reason why I am in the support of the disintegration of the Nigerian Police (NP) into state police, that way we as Nigerans get to understand that we are supposed to also hold our state governors responsible for our security, the FG should also be held responsible for security but the governors need to do their part also.the FG as long as it is in control of the apparatus of the NP should do more to ensure security and move this country forward..................WE PRAY THEE LORD ANSWER OUR PRAYERS,FOR IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME WE HAVE PRAYED.AMEN............ |
dayokanu: Does Tinubu have any pending case with EFCC? If not you can take your palmwine joint yarn write on a piece of paper and shove it up Retardeen jonathans arseI have one simple response to your foolishness and blind defence for your rogue paymaster. It is in the link below. http://www.nigeriavillagesquare.com/articles/newsflash/corruption-atiku-tinubu-kalu-top-efcc.html |
Lai Mohammed should tell Tinubu to resign from his party. Tinubu is the worst criminal in Nigeria. ACN is the most corrupt party in Nigeria. Talk about Aqua Beta owned by Tinubu and which is used to siphon 3 billion monthly from Lagos. Talk about the foreign accounts held by Tinubu as governor of Lagos state. Talk about the billions stolen by the Lagos speaker. Talk about the diversion of funds in frivolous things such as the OYO lawmakers trip to uk. Talk about the 30 billion allegedly given to Akeredolu to unseat Mimiko. |
Reformer |
NO LONG TIN: Former Oyo State Governor Lam Adesina has a piece of advice for President Goodluck Jonathan – he should resign, if it will bring peace. What do we expect from DECREPIT man? |
1025: uncle, what do u mean by record high? what is this 4237 megawatts in a lame man's language? why is the electricity issue been discussed in the engineering terms? are all nigerians engineers or scientists? what is big about a govt promising 500,000 megawatts, kilowatts and megabytes if i may ask?You are simply a globe trotting blind fool, what do you think you are blabbing about?it is the first time this achievement has been recorded n this country, including when your paymasters whoever they are where in power. For many of us true Nigerians the achievement so far and ones yet to be recorded needs celebrating, in the sense that power has arguably been the greatest problem of this country,we've seen regimes come and go without achieving half of what has been done by this administration in a little over a year in office,it's very laudable our prayer should rather be that they should continue with the good works already started, this administration understands power is a necessity that's why it's striving to make it available to Nigerians.Given the distractions most of you unpatriotic wicked souls have given this administration,I clearly understand your disappointment that the administration is clearly on track.Shame on you detractors and leave us to enjoy our previously elusive adequate power supply and more democracy dividends that will come with this govt. Kudos to GEJ and his team for demonstrating their purposeful, selfless and dynamic leadership.Nigerians are solidly behind your wonderful plans for this country. |
I don't know about you, but in my area power is relatively stable. I sleep with light everyday unlike before. But that has translated into more cards. I exhausted 5000 Naira card in just 2 weeks. |
berem: The more I read stories about boko haram, the more I pity GEJ! He is really sorrounded by enemies.I just pray that a repeat of what happened to Aguiyi Ironsi will not happen to him.Amen ooo. God will help GEJ to overcome all these obstacles |
supoade: SSS in the usual catch Rabbit to call it a Lion. What a Pathetic Country!KABIRU Sokoto is still in SSS detention. Same with Abu Qaqa. Senator Ali Ndume is currently facing trial in a federal high court sitting in Abuja. The last time I checked, Ndume was granted bail upon stringent conditions and after spending a month at Kuje prison. Since the courts discharged some other Boko haram suspects before, the SSS is now more cautious and unwilling to charge them to court. Though it may be illegal, but it is better that these captured leaders of Boko Haram remain in detention to forestall further attacks. |

dedeike: All these our federal legislooters amuse me.Sincerely |
Many people don't bother to read the topics, they just venture into the thread like loose cannons to attack GEJ. When I first saw the headline, I was upset as to what other names to ascribe to Boko haram apart from Terrorists. But when I read the op, I understood what they meant. If America should list Boko Haram as a terrorist group, we in the south would be the ultimate losers. Because even these so called northerners hardly go to America. Their own is Saudi and all those Arabic countries. It is me and you, the average hustlers in the south, that will bear the brunt. We will be treated like Afghan or Yemen citizens. Already, we have a bad image as scammers. Add to it terrorism and we are finished. |
Gradually NL we are beginning to understand who the paid apologists are, unveiling KOBOJUNKIE and others. |
homerac7: no i wont. why? it's an understatement and no more news to say that he's a non-performer. on electricity, he met on ground a project that's near maturity in name of NIPP that was initiated by OBJ and funded to tune of $16bn from excess crude account he built. any rightly knowledged person knows that such vast projects take time to come to fruition otherwise i would be asking "GEJ apologists" to tell me where he fetched the power increment and system stability from. if GEJ became president some 2 yrs back and today power is improving, it's enough evidence in itself to show that it's OBJ's investment that's come of age, NOT GEJ's.When yara'adua became president he discontinued with this same NIPP you are alluding to as the foundation for the stability and improvement of power supply in the country,so is not applaud able that Gej has decided to revisit it and improve on it better than even the initiators? Hypocrisy that's our bane in this country, carry on Gej they can't bring a good man down. The end will definitely vindicate you. |
That's a huge sum of money being mentioned there, but even at that for some us who know asiwaju that's not what he can't provide, after all he milks Lagos of 3bn monthly on tax consultancy through the Alpha Beta firm. The ACN being a party of desperadoes never stop at anything to win elections especially in areas within their comfort zone, needless we remember the importation of thugs through train by the chief thug himself 'Agberosola'of Osun state during the 2007 elections. So am not totally surprised. |
ebamma: you are a direct opposite of your nameYou ddn't notice the missing 'T' |
Dawdy: In ur dream! Jumua to maa da Alamisi lati mo, Oju to maa ba ni kale, ko kin ti aaro sepin.Clearly we can see true position of an enemy of state, how would u delve into blabbing in ur local dialect to swear against the performance of this administration,if the govt performs creditably well who would be the ultimate beneficiaries?is not all Nigerians and everybody that dwells herein? Sheer unpatriotism wouldn't do us any good, you see how wicked ur blind hatred for this administration has made you?it's a pity wishing the country bad. |
monkeyleg: Reminds me of the savant who was sent to the market with 50,000 naira, and came back with only a loaf of half eaten bread. The folks in the house praised the savant saying "at least he came back with something"If you are coming from a background where previous servants had collected as much as 100 thousand and returned empty handed from the market, you will celebrate the Servant that was smart emough to come back with a half eaten loaf of bread. |
Demdem: intimidate him for expressing his opinion especially as regards cluelessness/stupidity in governance as epitomised by the retardeen's administration. useless/jobless SSS. carry go jare El-rufai. Bakare was intimidated, yet more sermons are being releasedExpressing what rubbish opinion? You call that rubbish that he does on twitter as expression of opinion? Wrong! That is oral m.enstration. El rufai is just a sore loosing religious bigot and ethnic jingoist. |
GreenJ: Only hear of it on news!Blind pessimism,it's only a blantant liar and unpatriotic fellow that will decide to turn a blind eye to the significant and unpararelled improvement in power supply, from Okene to uzuakoli, ota to Zungeru, the story is the same.I was expecting this statement from the minister because it's definitely obvious that something positive has been done in that sector. Kudos to Gej's administration, this is visible change. |
Goes a long way to burtress the fact that this faceless group is sponsored by those who are afraid of the ballot box, pheeeew they have lost it... |
If not to attract cheap publicity and sympathy this article's headline would have been 'Mariam Ali to stand surety for suspected subsidy fraud Suspect'.I wonder how people have sworn to demonise this Gej led govt,if not for hatred, malice and blind pessimism, what in the world is wrong with an adult eligible Nigerian Standing surety for an 'accused'person? Please if u don't know u should seek knowledge u musn't display ur ignorance, however if u must know Maryam Ali's action is not unconstitutional. |
alj harem: ubandireI am not surprised at ur outburst that's the norm for you,but more worrisome is the fact that u've refused to shift stands on ur ethnic bigotry which makes it clear that u simply do not want to understand.Whether am ibo,Hausa,Fulani, ijaw it shouldn't becloud my sense of logical reasoning and wouldn't erase if nothingelse memories of my moral upbringing,I have come to terms with the fact that u are tribal apologist so have simply refused to be drawn into arguments with u cos u never make sense all u do is lie and curse.Loser! |
SMH |
Elueme: Shut up and address issues! You are not ashamed of your miserable self .. You have to be an accomplice to lie all because of desperation.. Am ashamed for you scoundrels.. Prove him wrong, he has defended his points to beyond every ambiguity .. It's good to note that nairalanders are iewingthis thread to see how ignoble you, Gbawe, junkie etc are.. ShhhhMmmeeee!!!!Which facts did solomonkane throw up?or maybe u didn't read my post very well as to know who I refferred to.that mongrel insulted dedeike without addressing the issues raised.Pls I will take this a mistake and instantly demand an apology. |

,anyway where I leave there is security,if those mallus want to continue blowing themselves up they can be my guests, when it comes to theft, random kidnapping, cult war or clash, what are your state governors doing,do you know how much they each collect every month as security votes, what do they do with it,are they not the c.s.o's of their various states, that is the more reason why I am in the support of the disintegration of the Nigerian Police (NP) into state police, that way we as Nigerans get to understand that we are supposed to also hold our state governors responsible for our security, the FG should also be held responsible for security but the governors need to do their part also.the FG as long as it is in control of the apparatus of the NP should do more to ensure security and move this country forward..................WE PRAY THEE LORD ANSWER OUR PRAYERS,FOR IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME WE HAVE PRAYED.AMEN............
