trustman: was man under God’s wrath as a result of sin? Will God’s wrath continue to be poured on those who refuse him?

Ubenedictus

Ultimately every sin is against God; an outrage to God’s holiness, an offense and insult to His perfection.

God’s justice demands that every sin be punished – “The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). It is God who does the punishing. To be just God has to punish sin; He has to judge every sin.
really? Where does the bible teach that God cannot forgive sins gratitously?

God only punishes unatoned sins! That is the whole reason for atonement and propitiation.

In his wisdom God made available a substitute – one who will stand in the place of sinners – to take the judgment (pay the penalty) for mankind’s sin. That one is Jesus – Romans 3:25; 4:25a; 8:32a.

He – God – did this so that his justice will be satisfied and he can therefore justify those who are guilty without compromising his essence – chiefly his holiness (righteousness and justice).

Jesus satisfied the demands of a righteous and just God as far as the sin issue is concerned – Romans 3:25. The just (Jesus) was standing in for the unjust (mankind). He did not have to pay the penalty for man’s sin but chose (in agreement with the Father) to do so on man’s behalf (as a representative of man). He took our place – Jesus became our substitute.

Standing in as our substitute, Jesus Christ took upon Himself the punishment for our sins (as demanded by the justice of God). He did this on the cross – “He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree … …” 1 Peter 2:24. The cross became the ‘altar’ on which the overwhelming debt of the penalty of sin against mankind was resolved.
hehehe,

nowhere does the bible teach that God provided Jesus to be a victim of his wrath! That is your own doctine, what scripture teaches is that God provided a sacrificial victim, one who offers a sacrifice for others sin!

I know what Jesus said in Luke, and I am not against that, as I said the Pope should of explained it to the Church more clearly, or maybe the Pope should lay low, because in these last moments the end time theory has now risen high, and people are now searching for answers, and because the Pope had started preaching his sermons, people have started to Question his authority to the world. Many have declared the Pope as being a false prophet. Your still not listening?
pope francis actually explained his statement well just like pope benedict did, but the truth is you don't care. So far you can find an excuse to criticise him

Of course the Church are trying to cover up their own mistakes from the past to the future activities they have caused, as we know it's not really the Pope's fault, He is just another follower-like the rest of the priesthood-it's their banner they worship under the Roman Catholic Church, should take the blame, still having pagan practices "that alone upsets the believers in Christ. So now everything the Pope say's everyone is watching, either if it is "true or false', they are still watching.
Of course past history has not helped when millions of believers and non believers have witness witchcraft, sexual activity's within the Church. And still until this day millions of people have come fourth, about the Churches bad behaviour, using the older youth as sex slaves, carried by sexual harassments and Child sexual abuse, raping and murdering innocent believers in Christ, all in the name of the Catholic Church.

We do understand the Pope is trying to change the many mistakes, His followers have coursed over the centuries, in number we could only count a small percentage of good deeds, no more then the sicknesses the Catholic Priesthood has showing the world.
By calling in the believers from different denominational's to come back to the Catholic Church, will mean, the Churches outside will have to forgive each and every sin the Church has committed.. And that alone will take some time.

The Catholic Church wants the churches to combine with each other, "reason" because the Roman Catholic's want full control over the world once again.
And how do they control the world, "{it is as simple as this? By keeping Sunday as there holy day, so every man, women and child continual's to worship the Sun--day

Working against Christ, when Christ said we must keep the Sabbath day holy, which was Friday sunset to Saturday sunset.
When Christ had risen on the last day of the week..

You can believe what you want, but Christians act as Christians do, and if you were any kind of a Christian" you yourself wouldn't ignore so much evidence in front of you, everything that's been flooding the gate ways, it's either from the Lord Himself, or from else where, it's pouring out like a title wave smashing flooding waters spreading across our nations, and now with the internet had open it's doors, and if there is any truth within, which their is, we are seeing it at a faster rate.
Non believers and Christians believers are seeing the world changing in front of them before the eye's.

It's only the blind who can only lead the blind...
hahahaha, hahahaahahhhhhaaaaa

i can't stop laughing! So a grown man like you believe in conspiracy theories?

My dear, grow up, a well reasoned man should be able to detect conspiracy theories when he sees them.

We will see the truth in due time, what your problem is, you cant see past yourself, the blind can only lead the blind.
It is true, the Pope has been asking other denomination's Churches to come fourth and join up, what the Pope believes is the true Church, so we become one religion.
The Pope want's to control the world { and How} by making sure every one worships only on a Sun--day..
you can accuse me of blindness all you like but you are the guy who is accusing a pope based on youtube videos.

The pope isn't interest in leading all Church, his interest is to ensure that as Jesus praye we may all be one, we can come to the full knowledge of the truth.

The pope is not inviting churches to join the catholic church, he is instead telling them to go back and check their heresies and see if all can work peacefully.

my dear u get the point, "cursed is any that dies on a tree", does not mean the dead person is going to hell, it simply means that type of death was considered most shameful that you must be considered to be very bad and under divine judgement to get it.

If an innocent man dies on a tree is he also "cursed"?

Here are some of your statements:

So God had no part in man’s redemption? Jesus chose to give an “offering” to God which became acceptable to God.
ofcuz God has a part in our salvation, he is the one who provided the plan of salvation and the means of it. He provide his son as an atonement, propitiation (a sacrifice that averts wrath).

’died for your sake’ means what?
it means exactly what you read, that his death was a substitory (vicarious), atonement. He died so that the full debt of my sin may be paid. His death wasn't a pouring of divine wrath but a offering of a superabundant payment. That is what redemption means.

was the penalty (punishment, price, payment) for sin borne by Jesus on behalf (in place of) of mankind?
Christ did bear the punishment God decreed for sin (i.e death) for our sake. But he certainly didn't go to hell fire nor was the chastisement an active one as in the sense of God actively pouring his wrath on the son but instead in the general sense of accepting our general punishment for sins and offering a sacrifies to free us from the eternal punishments thereof.

Like i said:

1. 1 Peter 3:18 "For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit,"
Cf Hebrews 13:12 "So Jesus also suffered outside the gate in order to sanctify the people through his own blood."

2. Romans 3:24&25 "24 and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
25 whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins."

3. Romans 4:25 "who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification."
Cf Romans 8: 32a “He who did not spare his own son but gave him up for us all” Notice; ‘did not spare’ – spare from what? Notice; ‘gave him up for us all” – gave him up?
and as I explained those passage clearly showed that Jesus offered a payment for sin! A sacrifice that was of so much value that it suffice to pay for all sin!

God did not need to actively pour his wrath on his son or send him to hell fire because Jesus has already offered a WORTHY AND ACCEPTABLE SACRIFICE. God didn't need to actively pour all his wrath on his son because his son already provided a sacrifice of his own life that was sufficient and superabundant for sins.

God didn't spare his son from suffering and death, he instead accepted this suffering and death as a sacrifice. He didn't need to send his son to hell to suffer for sins because the blood he shed, the life he gave was already a offering for sin! And beautiful and acceptable one.

The book of Heb contains a good explaination of what happened on the cross, it says

heb 9:12

when Christ went through the tent and entered once and for all into the most holy place...he took his own blood and obtained eternal salvation for us.

Infact I suggest you read heb 9 and 10 it shows who Christ won our salvation and it wasn't by going to hell or emptying his fathers wrath, no! Instead he offered a sacrifice that had the value of paying for all sin and averting divine wrath.

The value of his sacrifice is based upon the value of his life, his obedience and his humility which gave back to God more glory than the offense of sins, it has nothing to do with taking wrath or going to hell.

Heb 10:10
because Jesus Christ did what God wanted him to do we are all purified from sin by th offering that he made of his own body!

Heb 10:12
Christt however offered one sacrifice for sins, an offering that is effective for ever.

Again I repeat he offered himself to God as an offering of abundant merit, an acceptable sacrifice a means of averting wrath by his obedience by his accepting a shameful death and suffering that is the sacrifice that brings us peace.

The payment the father demanded and took was a "body that came to do his will" a life obedient onto death not someone to send to hell fire.

If one can repent without it does that mean we can do without sacrament of penance?
hehehe, this is like asking, can one do without the eucharist. You should ask Jesus that question, he is the one who gave the power to forgive sin to the apostles you can go and ask him if we can do without what he has given.

How does a sinner get converted in the first place?
you can answer this by yourself. To be converted the first thing is a "mover", something that moves the heart, this is usually the holyspirit using the word of God, the sinner is then convicted of sin and convinced of the need for rigteousness, he is "cut in the heart" and desires to change his ways, this is usually called repentance, he then believes in the word of God and he responds to this word by following the demands of Christ first is baptism.

This is the first instance of conversion, the conversion experience actually most times last for a life time.

What kind of sins do you call grievous or grave that only the church priests can forgive? How is the repair to damage carried out, is it by punishing oneself?
i never said there are any sins ONLY a church priest can forgive, it is you who say that.

Punishing yourself for the sake of punishing yourself does not repair anything. The act the priests prescribes are usually practical, e.g if you went about speading calumny against your brother a good repair will be to go back and tell of the goodness of you brother. The repair for a particular vice is usually the opposite virtue and prayer.

OLAADEGBU:
So a sinner who gets 'baptised' in water is automatically converted? It is either we are justified by faith or by water baptism it cannot be both.
actually the bible says both.
To be a christ you must repent, believe and be baptised! Not only believe but believe and be baptised.
The passage you quoted puts it clearly "repent, believe and be baptised", in Acts 2 when peter was asked what shall we do his response was simply
"repent and be baptised for the forgiveness of sins and so you may receive the holy spirit".
Paul writes that all who are baptised into Christ are baptised into his death...he even goes on and on, peter rightly teaches that baptism now saves us.

So my dear a Christian is justified by Grace, thru faith in baptism.

God actually closed the way of priests sacrificing and interceding for us when He sent Jesus Christ to die and shed His precious blood for the forgiveness and remission of our sin. Jesus Christ is now our High Priest who has entered the Holy place interceding for us and all we have to do is look up to Him who is the author and finisher of our faith not any earthly priest.
the same Jesus our High priest gave to other men the power to forgive sins in his name, Or did you miss that passage in your bible? He is the one who opens that path, if he didn't want us to believe that we can obtain forgiveness in his name thru his ministers then he wouldn't give them the power to pronounce sins forgiven.

Can you show me where priests or confessionals are mentioned in the NT?
hehehe, you have been singing "Jesus is our high priest" are you not aware that the very idea of a high priest presupposes that there are other priest who share in the ministry of the high priest?

Confessional is found in jn where Christ says "whosoever sins you forgive are forgiven whatsoever sins you retain are retained."

You need to pray and ask the Lord to show Himself what is truth, and what is not truth. The Lord has been using His own people to reach out to you, but you are not listening.

To day, people everywhere have wondered after Christ more then ever, the world is changing, and people are dying at a faster rate.
Something is happening, and the net is covering it self with news from the four parts of the world, and people are either turning to Christ or they are like you, and ignore it all.
Have you heard of the One World Religion about to rise, and Pope Francis is calling all Church leaders to join the Roman Catholic Church, does he realise the damages this would cause, the Church will end up killing it's self, and the people in it.
you too need to pray that God delivers you from the spirit of misinformation and bais. Pray that you learn that not all stories you see in your computer is true.

The Catholic Church does not believe in One world religion instead we believe in teaching the gospel and even working with non catholic to maintain peace in the society.

Have you ever heard of the watchman, it's usually written under every scripture involved around end times, the Lord say's watch, and People are watching.

And I do know what Luke 24:39, not only it says He is flesh and blood, but there's a bit more to this scripture what His purpose was, letting His disciples see Him hand and foot, John 1:1, In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God.

Jesus came to prove to the world and believe that the word of God was God, who became flesh to save the world...

John 4:24 "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in Spirit and in truth.
2 Corinthians 3:17, Now the Lord is Spirit, and where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

So if the Pope was preaching on Luke 24:39, it would of been better if he had addressed the issue a lot clear so the Christians could understand what his purpose was when preaching about who Jesus was, explaining himself more clearly about the scriptures, so the Church can hear him out loud.
Someone in the Church had showing the world this footage of Pope Francis preaching to the Church. Did the Pope say, Jesus is not a Spirit, or did he say Jesus is a Spirit.
1 Corinthians 15:50, Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God.
1 Peter 3:18, "For Christ also suffered once for sins and just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh and made alive in the Spirit.
So the Pope needs to say things more clearly, as I said there's strange things happening in the Vatican, and if you open up your net, you will see photo's and films what is inside the Vatican, and in Latin the priest worship Lucifer.
Who is Lucifer to you.
Jesus himself implied that he was not a ghost (spirit), in the passage in question, and pope francis went on to explain what he meant by that, but unfortunately you don't care because you are only interested in criticising him. The sermon didn't stop there it continued and the pope continued to explain why Jesus wanted them to see he was not a ghost but still possess flesh and blood like them and even eat with them, did you care to find out all he said on the issue? No! Because you are more interested in criticising one sentence which the pope actually gets from luke.

Incase you don't know all catholic including the pope believe Jesus is both God and man, the passage the pope was explaining was when Jesus showed them that he was still human even after the resurrection. The pope didn't say "Jesus is JUST man" he said "Jesus is man" there is a difference, but ofcuz you don't care so far you can criticize.

Which Church are you preferring too, the Roman Catholic Church as a building made with hands. Or" maybe a body of believers is the Church, Christ is talking about..
Did not Jesus say to His apostles, In Luke 21:5-6 when some spoke of the temple, how it was adorned with beautiful stones and donations, He said, "As for these things which you see, the days will come in which not one stone shall be left upon another that shall not be thrown down."

Is this not the statement the Lord made, from what was a temple building, now to a body of people who believe in Christ, are we not the Church, flesh and blood, and those who believe are with Spirit.

Did I read about the Pope who said the Church is the Roman Catholic Church, and those who don't believe in the Church are not true Christians.

Did Jesus stands fern with the body of Christ which is the Church {People} He prophesied the temple will be torn into, no longer does the Holy Spirit meet the high priest in the temple behind the veil, the Holy Spirit enters everybody who chooses to believe.
That's the true Church in Christ.
Well I can only pray for you, I certainly can't open your eyes if you do not wish to see.

You claimed that pope benedict said Christianity is fake even though such claim can't be found in any reputable new site, you instead decided to believe what someone said on youtube. Even after giving you the transcript of his speech you still decided that youtube is your most trusted information source. If you can't detect misinformation simply because you are baised against the pope then I can't help you.

You went on to claim pope francis said Jesus is not a spirit and alledge that is heretic, when it was Jesus himself who after resurrection was telling his apostles he is not a spirit(ghost). But unfortunately you prefer to crucify pope francis than admit the passage he is explaining Jesus clearly says he is not a spirit(ghost). I can't help you if you are baised.

On the topic in question the pope clearly defined the Church as the body of Christ and rightly said one can't be a Christ outside the body of Christ which is the Church but instead you claim the pope was talking about a building.

I can't help you if you are blinded by bais and hate, I can only pray for you.

Honestly, I'm reading this your explanation and I'm smiling to myself.

This is nothing but a desperate and failed attempt to make this simple, straightforward and easy-to-understand scripture mean what you so badly want it to mean.

Galatians 3v13 -Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is EVERYONE that hangeth on a tree:

This scripture is so straightforward that any attempt to give it another interpretation makes one sound ridiculous.

This is what it means:

Under jewish law and custom; everyone and anyone who dies by crucifixion is considered accursed of God and under His judgment.

It means when someone dies by hanging on a tree; it means the judgment is not human or natural but divine and of God. It is the judgment of one accursed of God.

And this is what Jesus was when He hung on that tree. He was accursed of the Father and under His judgment -on our behalf. Jesus was made a curse for us and He suffered the judgment of the accursed on our behalf by hanging on the tree.

This is the simple meaning of ...Cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree.

All the kings that Joshua hung on the tree were accursed of God; their judgment was of God.

The only difference being; unlike them who were accursed and under judgment for their sins; Jesus was accursed for our own sins.

Its ok to disagree with the scriptures; but at least don't twist it.

"Cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree" means everyone who hangs on a tree is accursed. Period!
my dear I always agree with scripture, what I disagree with is the interpretation some give it.

The scriptures say "cursed is any that dies on a tree", does that mean that everybody killed on a tree is a sinner and thus experiencing divine wrath and God's anger, or does it simply mean that death on a tree was reserved in the old law as a most shameful death to portray that the dead person is believed to have committed a serious sin that puts him under Gods displeasure?

Yes accepting his "oppression"(as isaiah puts it), Christ offered to his Father a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to him.

Boomark:
We(Paul and I) cheesy are talking about spiritual things, not things of the flesh or of carnal reasoning.

Galatians 4:21-26 Revised Standard Version (RSV)

The Allegory of Hagar and Sarah

21 Tell me, you(Ubenedictus angry ) who desire to be under law, do you not hear the law? 22 For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by a slave and one by a free woman. 23 But the son of the slave was born according to the flesh, the son of the free woman through promise. 24 Now this is an allegory: these women are two covenants. One is from Mount Sinai, bearing children for slavery; she is Hagar. 25 Now Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia; she corresponds to the present Jerusalem, for she is in slavery with her children. 26 But the Jerusalem above is free, and she is our mother.

The "Promise" is spiritual(not about Isaac from Sarah)

The "Seed" is spiritual(not about Isaac)

The "Woman" who gave birth in pains is spiritual, Rev 12.

Christ became her Seed in spirit.

We became the remaining of her Seed through the spirit, Rev 12:17.

The relationship between woman(Our mother, Jerusalem above), Christ(Seed) and Us(Seed) through the "Promise" is spiritual not carnal(ie no carnal input).

This is how they should be doing it(teaching) for you guys and not mixing up things which only brings confusion. So no body is saying Sarah is the heavenly Jerusalem. She(who is of the flesh) symbolically corresponds to it(which is of the spirit).
you should see me now smiling at you.

So you simply prolonged the topic instead of puting things plainly.

Sarah was used as a symbol (allegorically as you say) of the new Jerusalem, which is above and is free and is our mother, that is True and on that we agree.

The real issue is on rev 12, that is actually a sign discribing real events of a woman about to give birth who at last gives birth to the Christ, you may claim that the woman in that passage is also the "heavenly Jerusalem" but that won't tally with the passage not just because d heavenly Jerusalem doesn't suffer birth pangs but because the passage shows that the dragon tried to harm the woman and she was given protection by the most high, again that does not fit into the narrative of the "heavenly Jerusalem" because dat Jerusalem is safe with God the dragon cannot even attempt to harm it. Unless ofcourse the woman in rev 12 is a different woman.

Your interpretation doesn't fit the passage.

I usually smile when I see the constraint like the one I bolded above, because the interesting fact is that none of the Christians of the early centuries interpreted that passage with a constraint, "confess your sins one to another" shikena, it doesn't say the sins to be confessed are only those commited against another, that constraint isn't in the passage, the early Christian audience never understood it to mean that the presbyterous is to declear forgiveness only when the sin is committed against another.

This also raised another question, when Jesus gave the apostles power to forgive sins did he also constrain the power to sins committed against others?

Then there comes the next can, what sins do not affect others in the general sense?

Sorry but I think that interpretation fall under the new age category which isn't necessaryly faithful to the text of scripture.

OLAADEGBU:
Are you saying that you have to undertake the sacrament of baptism before you become a Christian?
yes sir!

My bible does teach that "baptism now saves you", "all who are baptised into christ are baptised into his death"

so yes I believe all who are justified by faith in baptism are rightly called Christians.

Why do you have to confess your sins to your priest when you can confess directly to God? Didn't 1 John 1:9 say if we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sin? Why do we have to confess to a priest for the forgiveness of our sins?
because God has given to those priests the power to forgive sins in his name.

When God open a way, then I see no reason not to use it

Yes, believers have authority over sin but only God forgives not priests, for Jesus is our High Priest who has gone into the holy place interceeding for us and appropriating His blood for our forgiveness and justification.
Christ has already given the church a ministry that forgives sins in his name.

It is true that God alone forgive sins, it is also true that Jesus has that said power to forgive sins and my bible shows he gave to his apostles the power to forgive sins in his name.

Agreed with your definition of repentance but can you break down the process involved in the sacrament of penance, are both one and the same?
they are not one and the same, they are sometimes complimentary. Repentance is necessary for the sacrament to penance. But one can repent without the sacrament.

When a sinner is converted, he experience repentance before baptism, the sacrament of penance isn't necessary. When a catholic praysy his/her night prayer, he is expected to examine his conscience and see what wrong he has done, what good he has done imperfectly and what good he has failed to do, there and then he is to repent from those sin and ask for forgiveness. All that is repentance.

Sacrament of penance is a different ball game, will a catholic grievously sin in a grave matter, knowingly and willingly, he may have recourse to the power Jesus gave his church on sins when he said "whosoever sins you forgive are forgiven".
The person must be trully sorry for his sins, make a firm resolves to turn away from it and amend his/her life, and accuse him/her before one who posseses that particular ministry usually the presbyterous of the church. He may also be asked to do something to repair what is damaged. That is called the sacrament of penance.

What is the difference between repentance and the Sacrament of Penance? Who does the Bible say we should go to when we confess our sins, where is the confessional stated in the Bible? These are what you need to spell out for us.
repentance is a turning away from sin and a turning towards God. The sacrament of penance is the sacrament whereby sins are forgiven.

To be a Christian repentance, faith and the sacrament of baptism are important.

We should confess our sins to one another, to the elders of the church un particular and to God.

Jn 20:22 i believes shows that Jesus gave the apostles authority over sin.

Gal 4:6 Says, the Jerusalem which IS above is free. She IS our Mother. Does this look like something that will happen in the future, something yet to become?

You don't have to wait for Rome before you agree. She IS your mother.

Stop misinterpreting the scriptures.
sarah is not the heavenly Jerusalem. The heavenly Jerusalem is our mother. But sarah didn't give birth to Jesus with any birth pangs.

Sorry.

I don't understand your need to distinguish doing from believing. They are like hand and glove. What you do accords totally with what you believe, and if you believe you will do accordingly.

Your question is like asking what comes first, the desire for food or hunger.
one does preceed the other and there is a difference between the two.

My question is just about what come first.

If you are really a man how come you call me dear, as above and in some of your other Quotes huh That's strange for any man calling another man dear. Are you gay?
my dear is simply an affectionate way to address another, it doesn't mean i'm gay, both men, women or children can be address with dear.
I just love the way you believe you are above all, I don't write unless the Lord leads me to write, this is not my own authority, but the Spirit of God that lives in me.
I don't have to know you in person-I read between the lines, the way you put things across shows clearly, you may have anger issues and you need anger management, your Quoting tells the stories.
this only confirms what I said, you don't know me.
I didn't claim Pope Benedict said Christianity is fake, Pope Benedict said that himself, after watching it on you tube, I just posted it on the forum, and still you seem to be to blind to even open your eye's and watch it yourself. You tube and many other internet news can show either way truth or non truth, the bible backs up what is truth...
you posted a video where the pope said "christianity is not a religion of the book in the classical sense" and you and d edited interpreted it to me that the pope said Christianity is fake. Those words never left the popes lips.

And you have posted a letter you say was written by Pope Benedict? That same letter could have been written by you. And you have the cheek calling me a liar.
i gave you a link that contains all of pope Benedict's publis speeches, homilies and talks. I gave you the speech in question, it is there in the link but you didn't bother to check.

As much as I like you Miss Ubendedictus, I pray for you and the rest of the Catholic's as much as I think of you,as a brother I say read you bible, you may find the truth will set you free.
You seem to be the one looking for a fight, I am not on this forum looking for a fight, I read the word of God and I will share it across the nations as much as I can-I will stand up to you, give me any truth that is written either in the bible, or else where, but I am not interested in non proving statements.
I am also a believer and I am willing to fight for my own beliefs in Christ.

If you are willing, to prove any evidence, then I am interested to read them.
I assure you Jesus is the only answer.

It's the Spirit of God that tells all. We are brothers and sisters in Christ, there's no other God who would risk His own life and die the way Jesus had died for all nations, giving us life in Him.
Praise the Lord...
my dear, I actually read my bible and I am set free, you should take your own advise and read your own bible maybe then you'll be able to understand what the popes are saying.

I was reading through your quote and you said "The Lord is the Spirit" listen to what Pope Francis said about this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cREBiH2QAkU
Its strange how you have differences believing in things other then what your Popes say's on live Television.
pope francis is again clearly teaching scripture, the passage he is explaining is the last chapter of luke from vs 34, where Jesus says he isn't a spirit.

I have never seen this advertise as news, this is just a simple letter written by the Catholic's. This is not enough evidence to prove your right and the edited-er of the film is wrong.
it actually is news. And sorry it is not a letter it is the transcript of his speech. All public speeches of pope Benedict have transcripts.
