@djeezy, sorry, u also get confused in dis whole thread. How many illiterate childrn hav u seen in d street doing well? Illiterate parents undoubtedly lack d power (financially & morally etc) 2 boost thier childrn's affair educationally and odawis. Illiterate parents are not gainfully employed and in dat case, how then do u expect them to manouvour thier childrens life to sound greatly resourceful? What a father has is what he gives to his children. Wen last did u see a son of a wheel barrow pusher graduating from oxford university? Most of them have d desire to train thier children but mind u, a desire that's not backed up financially becomes .... **u can complete dat**

Issues such as dis generally concerns both d married n d yet-to-marry.

There's dis newly married couple i know abt. D man is in2 logistic stuff so he travels alot and d wife is heavily pregnant. They live in thier apartmnt (private compound) only 2 of dem n no 1 else.

Last time, she took 1 of dos illnesses dat normally coms wit pregnant women n was hapless. It took a long n tougher tim b4 help reached her by a-not-too-distant-neighbours.

She's 8mnths old+ pregnant now n d husband spends only abt 2 to 3 days wkly @ home. Wat if d labour starts @ nite n perhaps wen d husband is not around? How wld she reach d attntn of d neighbours wch her only screaming might not go dat far? Isn't it beta 4 dem 2 sort 4 a relatv or possibly a husmaid 2 attach 2 d house since d husband usually travels?

As 4d man, i knw dats wat put food on table but as a self-employed personality, wuldnt it b beta 4 him 2 consider his wife's affair n reduce his mood of stayng outsid home. Money is not evrytin. He shld knw dat and try to spend mor time wit his wife at this critical moment.

@djeezy, and u never paused to think if we must go by ur post, then the rate of illiteracy shld be times in millions within a yr as the illiterate couples would keep churning out illiterate children? Wat then would b d fate of our future wen every three children equate two illiterates and one literate? How abt many of those whom i know thier wives/husbands were not educated as @ wen they met? The educated ones (mostly males) happened to take it upon demselvs training the spouse to his/her standard? Will u say anything is wrong wit dat? Dont forget most of them are illiterates because of circumstances not because they desired such.

Apart frm wife issue, i think is very socialized that we all shld try wit whoever is next to us to be educated in life so as to wipe away illiteracy in our society.

@Afam4eva and Danilsa, wen i say 'illiterate', i mean som1 who attended only primary sch. and stopped at primary 5 bcs she culd not complete it because of one thing or d other. She can barely write her name and express her self politely wit english. What better word can i use to decribe her oda dan 'Illiterate'?

Note: All those were unimportant to me as far as the real love i had for her was concerned?

Up till today, i cant just kip my mind off a particular girlfrind i had 7yrs ago. Though she wasnt educated because of her family, but i was so much in luv wit her and stil regard her as d most prettiest, sexiest, loving and desirous girl my soul welcomes despite all others (both d rich, d semi rich and d poor girls I've dated). Indeed, Nairaland as a spetacular forum 4 particular pple in d cellular hemisphere known as 'Naija' wch is rectangular in octopus is a 1daful forum 4 evry possibility and even impossibility. Marriage is a destined affair instituted by God and no one (man & woman) stays out of it and claims to be happy in life. Definitely, those are full grown liars. The female folks normally bite thier fingers regretting the expensive mistake they made during younger age. I have them many in my surrounding and they testify to this. One (42yrs now ) openly said all she needs now is just a man who can just make pregnant and she well take care of the baby singlehandedly on our own (looking so frustrated and dissappointed).
