Where will this training take place?

Yeah, u'll need something like that. However, I've never heard of certificate of state of origin. The one that is most common is Local government certificate of origin. Its very easy to get that. Just go to ur local government headquaters with a passport.

So SLS did not say anything to the masses, the Senate or National assembly before taking such an important step that will undoubtedly impact very hard (positively or negatively) on this country forever. What kind of democracy is this?

No Mr. Sanusi, you have not done your homework well. Introduction of #5000 notes and the changing of #5-#20 to coins will surely bring inflation. It has been proven time and again that Nigerians don't like using coins. #50 will just take the place of #5 just as #5 took the place of 50 kobo. Imagine that you seller selling goods worth #10 each, would you enjoy carrying at least #300 (assuming some people will buy with currencies and get change in coins) worth of coins at the end of the day? Moreover, for the #5000 to be fully integrated into the economy, there must be inflation. You and I know that most sellers won't allow you pay for goods or services worth #1500 with a #5000 note. This is Naija. Its high time we stopped imitating the west verbatim. We are a very unique set of people and what works in the US might not work here.

I chose OAU last year and up till the moment when the last set of candidates were chosen, my admission status was always 'NOT YET ADMITTED' same as jamb's website. Late february, OAU's site no longer brought anything..just a blank page. So I gave up and obtained another jamb. Now just this afternoon, I just checked JAMB's website for my admission status 4 dis year and I also checked my admission status for last year and I saw that I had been offered admission and they are on first semester break. Is there anything I can do. Maybe d admission could be used next session. And please tell me more about ADMISSION DEFERRAL. Thanks.

Its quite a pity man. Did u choose OAU this year? Did u cross the cut off mark for your department? If ur answers to the above two questions are YES, then you should 4get about last year and wait to resume next session. But if any one of the answers is NO, then you need to enter Ife as soon as possible, go to the admission office and tell them u were given admission for the 2011/2012 session but you wish to defer it to 2012/2013 session. Of course it won't be as simple as that. You will need a staff (Academic staff preferably) to go with you in order to make sure u're given maximum attention. You will also need to present documents to prove you were actually offered admission. Ur best course of action will be to go to the school and find a sympathetic and highly placed/connected person to present your problem to. He will know best how to proceed. You will also get invaluable advice u can't possibly get here among aspirants.

You're close but not correct. 2 months after the introduction of #5000 note, pure water will be sold for #50. Who wan dey carry coins about? Certainly not me.

234GT: Nice thread, but the reality is that there are far more graduates than jobs. I was in unilag last week to write nigerian breweries test. There were over 700 of us that day writing tests for position of trainee brewers. The test was written over 7 days in three centers across nigeria. Now, lets do the maths. 7*3*700=14,700. Nigerian breweries cannot employ more than 20 out of this number as trainee brewers. State governors are not helping matters. They are sacking workers to make money available for them to steal. And I also strongly feel that we should blame the older people for giving birth to too many children. This is the cause of the current population explosion. How many people even scale through aptitude tests.

Depressing statistics. This is why enterpreneurship is the way to go. Government & the existing private coys cannot employ everybody. There are just too many people graduating every year. But then, starting and running any business that employs up to 30 people in Naija is no easy feat.

Come on guys, give the guy a break. He is presently a 200 level law student of OAU. So contrary to what some people insinuate, he's tasted campus life. He has also seen life and had experiences which have divested him of his erroneous ambitions. Most importantly, he is a very bright lad. Therefore, it is my opinion that he is most unlikely to join a cult in the university. He is even too matured to be lured into a cult.

It may be because the MS office installed is a trial version and has expired. Just uninstall the office 2010 through the control panel. Then go to any software store near you and buy MS office 2007 CD. Btw, I hope you have an external DVD drive. Put in the CD and then follow instructions from the interface which should appear. Type in the product key when u're prompted to. It should take a few clicks to install. Hope this helps.

Your verdict of bloodshed in the north is a bit extreme. But u're on point with the rest. SECURITY has also become very essential. Constant power without security will do GEJ little good. He needs to convince Nigerians that he is tackling (or trying to tackle) the problem of Insecurity.
