This "speaking in tongues" of a thing has been abused today. A particular "fire prayer" branded church actually teach that it's a must to speak in tongue to show you're baptised in the Holy Ghost. How true is that?

I can relate well with your testimony OP.
I've also had a recurring and mysterious sickness for over 15yrs. Gone to many prayer mountains and hospitals, yet no solution. Frustration made me stop going to churches and started studying the WORD on my own and reading christian inspirational books, my spiriual life has dramatically changed since then. I changed my worries and focus from the sickness to getting closer to God every passing day.
I've learnt to please God through FAITH, even if I'm not yet experiencing what I prayed for. Anytime I feel any symptom of the recurring sickness, I start praising and thanking God for healing me by the stripes of Jesus Christ and then watch the symptom disappear just like it comes.
Experiencing victory over Sin, sickness, self and satanic attack have been miraculous since I decided to give up everything to follow Christ wholeheartedly. Indeed anyone can move mountains with FAITH in Christ's finished work on the cross.

According to prosperity gospel merchants, the cross is no longer the symbol for the Christian faith; it's now private jets and fat bank accounts. As long as you keep "sowing seeds", God must bless you with material wealth and you'll be "dangerously rich".

For me, my cross is forgoing my own personal ambition to follow Christ wholeheartedly.

Plus he doesn't deceive with lies, he twists the truth perfectly to deceive humans into rebellion against the Almighty God - he did it in the beginning and he's still doing it.

Satanic pastors and church owners everywhere, especially in Nigeria have neglected this. They're preoccupied with preaching what people want to hear - prosperity, financial blessing, economic comfort, healing, miracles, deliverance etc. Because no one wants to hear the TRUTH about God's plan of victory and redemption from Sin and it's effects, judgment of the sinful world and coming reign of Christ, pastors now only SELL other gospels that are on high demand. They've all relegated the gospel of Christ's Kingdom to the background. THE GATES OF HELL SHALL NOT PREVAIL AGAINST THE REAL CHURCH OF CHRIST.

When an acclaimed Christian keeps acquiring knowledge contrary to God's will, he/she will definitely submit to the doctrine of demons who disguise as Christian evangelicals.
So much of liberalism and tolerance being propagated by the world are now gaining grounds in the body of Christ. But tolerance shouldn't make us compromise our faith and turn a blind eye to the TRUTH - that Jesus Christ is the only Way to reconciliation with God, no other way.

God doesn’t answer curses, He answers prayers according to His will. It's satan who capitalises on curses to achieve his aim. God will judge every evildoer His own way NOT the way we usually expect.

Jesus was/is against laying curses - Matthew 5:44, Romans 12:14. Oyedepo should have blessed those who did the evil act while praying for God's righteous judgement upon them - that's the way of Christ.

NB: The imprecatory Psalms were submitted to God's will not ultimately to the psalmists' wishes even though they wished great evil upon their adversaries. But Christ has shed light on how we should conduct ourselves and our how our heart and responses should be to those who hurt and persecute us.

Unfortunately most pastors and church runners are preaching prosperity, deliverance, miracles and healing but they have relegated the Kingdom gospel to the background.

Satan may still have a lot of influence in the world today through his human agents but the ultimate authority belongs to God. Nothing in this world happens without God's permission, even the bad things. Everything ĺboth good and evil) works according to God's plan.

The love in our world, especially today, is no where near or comparable with the Love of God expressed in Christ.
A genuine Christian knows he/she is bound by the covenant of Christ's Love and should be lead by the Spirit in choosing a life partner NOT by human love that exists only in the realm of the soul. Such Christian, whose real/first love is Christ, can never be joined with someone whose heart isn't owned by Christ.
A real Christian who is first and foremost concerned about a growing relationship with Christ above anything else can't think of being joined together in matrimony to non-believer - that would be disastrous to his/her spiritual life and that will definitely lead to a physical life of agony and lots of "patching-up".

The Nicolaitans are still very much around, especially in Nigerian churches. They preach pursuit of material wealth and use Christ to cover their idolatry. Dominion in Christ doesn't mean acquiring material wealth by taking some "special steps" in faith eg sowing seeds. Dominion in Christ is first and foremost walking in victory over Sin, Satan, Self and Sickness because Christ had overcome them all. The Christian faith doesn't guarantee material wealth but peace in all circumstances as you depend on God. You can't bulldoze God into blessing you with material wealth if that's not His will for you. God blesses those He wants to bless with money and material possessions according to His sovereignty, will and purpose. Just follow Christ with all your heart and soul and let His will be done in your life. Give the best of what you are and what you have to His purpose, be it money, time, talent, etc.
Pursuing material wealth in guise of dominion in Christ will only lead you into idolatry. If God wants you to be wealthy, no one can stop you from being wealthy as long as you're following Christ in truth and in spirit everyday. You don't need to do anything special to "attract" wealth, just follow Him with all your heart and soul. Trying hard to get rich in the name of Christ will open the door of your heart to the god of this world - satan into enticing you to taking some unchristlike actions that will lead you astray.
Lastly, remember the symbol of the Christian Faith is a cross NOT a private jet nor 666 (King Solomon's number). Most people who truly follow Christ would likely find things difficult on this side of existence, especially financially. I'm not saying a true follower of Christ can never be rich, but it'll be difficult in this world controlled by satan.

2 Peter 1:20 clearly tells us no scripture or prophecy is of any private interpretation so that trash about Jesus addressing the Pharisees alone won't fly here.
Even if you remain stubborn in the face of scriptural back up then it simply means all the words of Jesus are contextual according the particular person(s) He was addressing. That will be a disastrous foundation for you to build your points upon.

I already told you Jesus was pointing out to the pharisees the wrong they were doing as under the Old testament. Jesus never told His desciples under the new testament to tithe like they do under the old covenant.

There's absolutely no need for that because the Christian Faith has always thrived against criticisms and condemnations. The spread of the genuine Christian faith through persecutions has often been the tool God uses to advance His gospel.
Christians don't defend their faith with physical weapons like others do. The Christian faith is not a cult where others who don't belong are disallowed to fellowship. A genuine Christian isn't afraid to open his mind to other doctrines from other religions because he has the Spirit of Truth within him.

They keep deceiving their spiritually gullible followers that their prosperity agenda is about spreading the gospel of Christ, but we know Christ never preached about material prosperity neither did He use material wealth as a means to spreading His gospel nor did He command His desciples to preach prosperity or gather material wealth to reach the whole world.
I pray God opens the spiritual eyes of His beloved people to see that these "men-of-God" are actually worshippers of the god of this world (Mamon) while using Christ to cover up their idolatry.

All those verses you think contradict Jesus' deity are actually proof of His deity as GOD ALMIGHTY. Zach 1:17 is from the LORD also. and It talks about the church being prosperous. Challenge the point with fact and not ignorance. Plus I never claimed Jesus asked his disciples to preach tithes or prosperity.

Matthew 23:23 statement was made under the Old Covenant. Tithing was of course mandatory then; but in the New Testament, the Principle at the root of tithing is what we follow through the leading of the Holy Spirit - the principle of supporting God’s purpose with our financial resources which must be proportional, cheerfully made and planned as the Spirit leads you.
You quoted Zechariah 1:17 out of context. The Lord was talking about Old Testament Jerusalem which was in ruins NOT about His New Testament church spreading through prosperity. The true Church of Christ comprising His genuine followers often spreads through persecutions and righteousness NOT material prosperity.
Moreover, God is not against His people being prosperous as long as prosperity agenda and gospel doesn't take the place of His Kingdom agenda - freedom from Sin and satanic dominion + eternal life.

No where in the Bible did Christ ask His desciples to preach about material prosperity. No where did Christ tell His desciples to organise church and mandate people to pay tithes.
The only gospel Christ commisioned His desciples to preach is about His Kingdom - Matthew 4:23, 9:35, Mark 16:15, Luke 9:6
The gospel of the Kingdom of God is about freedom from the dominion of Sin, peace in this troublesome world and Life in eternity. The gospel is often accompanied by signs of healing anf deliverance from demonic possession. The gospel of Christ's Kingdom never promises material wealth but God blesses anyone He deems fit according to His purpose, even unbelievers.
Success and prosperity in God's Kingdom is not ideally the same with that of the world. Unfortunately, prosperity and success is now seen in "churches" today just the way the world sees them. Prosperity in Christ's descipleship are the spiritual blessings that come with a heart and soul devoted entirely to Christ - giving the best of what you are and what you have to God's purpose regardless of the obstacles, which also includes your money (not necessarily 10%).
