If you believe your WORK will give you salvation, then Jesus didn't die for you. Maybe your righteousness will earn you eternal life. You better sit down and study your Bible and ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand instead of depending on denominational doctrines. This people don't teach direct from the Bible, but only refer to the Bible just to support their ideas.
As for me, the blood of Christ speaks for me before God, I am already justified by FAITH in Christ's finished WORK on the cross. Because I'm justified, my continuous sanctification by His GRACE is assured until HE returns to take me.

God has been intervening in the affairs of His body since the earliest church. There has always been bad people within and against the church in every age but God uses them to stir up controversy and build up the church. This is how God has been purifying His bride and preparing her for His second coming. God will continue to do so until the church (the real mystical body of Christ) is ready to be raptured.

No right thinking genuine Christian blames Oyedepo, Adeboye, etc for being rich. But in a country where most people (including their congregations) can hardly afford to feed well and are spiritually depraved, these "men of God" flaunt their wealth and encourage pursuit of material possessions more than spiritual wellbeing. No wonder most of these politicians and fraudsters are comfortable in these congregations. No wonder these " men of God" are seen frolicking with politicians. No wonder many young people from these congregations are involved in immorality. No wonder these "men of God" can't come out vehemently against the darkness ravaging the country including immoral TV shows like BBNAIJA, corruption, injustice, politician's raking in over 1/4 of our national budget. No wonder there are so many fraudulent pastors springing up everywhere.
Abraham, Isaac, David, Solomon, etc didn't get rich by asking God for wealth or pursuing material possessions nor did they encourage people to run after material wealth as if that is what dominion over the earth is all about. They got so rich because it was God's will for them. God will only give wealth as His grace and sovereignty permits not because you ask Him or because you did anything special.

Yes, God will reward those who diligently seek Him but not necessarily with material wealth. God values our spiritual status more than our financial status. If you're seeking God just so that He can bless you with wealth, then you've missed the mark. True Christianity is far more than what we have here on earth. If Christ was really concerned about His followers getting mega rich here on earth, He would have had so many chariots, horses, carmels, etc in His entourage but He lived an exemplary life - a SIMPLE LIFE even though He could afford anything He wanted.
Simply put, those pastors flying private jets in Nigeria are nothing like Christ.

Of course a genuine Christian shouldn't make others reject Christ but we live in a world where Satan rules and is using highly placed individuals to influence many people especially those who claim to follow Christ, this is very obvious to everyone. The Bible has already warned us to stand for Christ and hang our faith on Him alone.

God has been purifying His body from the very 1st century. The controversies within and against the church always brings out the best. If this whole thing is truly targeted at the real church, then so be it. It'll only further God's purpose and ultimately result in His glory.

which purification? Do you know how many people that will fall away from christ because of this shame from two people that parades themselves as christians? If you know what the powers that be are cooking up against the church you will shed tears but again victory over the world and the devil has already been guaranteed for the church.

Anyone who hangs his faith around the actions of people (pastors or not) is not yet following Christ. The fight against the body of Christ is not the physical but spiritual, so must our warfare strategies be. Thank God because His purpose shall stand against the fiery darts of the devil.

There's no fight against anybody but the purification of the body of Christ, that's what's going on right now if you don't know. You should expect more scandals and exposing of the wolves in sheep clothing that are tarnishing the name of Christ. This has been part of my prayers everyday - the church in Nigeria has nothing close to being Christlike, there's great need for the fire of purification of God to burn off the fraudsters and canal elements within His body parading themselves as men of God.

Since Satan can't kill the church by roaring at her like a lion, he is now trying to crush her by hugging her like a bear. Satan has failed to scare Christians away from worshipping God, he's working tooth and nail to entice Christians with worldly desires through spiritually unproductive activities.

Of course, they all belong to their master satan, including nairaland. The rulers of the cosmos and powers of the air are all scared of the only Name that's above every other name - JESUS!

As a man, if you haven't found WORK (your divine purpose in life not your job), you have no business getting married because God gave Adam WORK before woman. But you can't find that purpose unless you acquaint yourself with your Creator who is your Source and Sustainer. Marriage is a special ministry from God to a man, unfortunately most men fail to understand this concept hence the continuous decadence in moral and spiritual values.
As a woman, you have no business being with a man who is not yet WORKING (being in God's purpose). If a man can't touch and position your soul (mind, emotions and volition) to be influenced by your Creator, then he has no right to touch your body let alone taking you to the altar. A husband is supposed to be your head (source) and spiritual leader. He's supposed to be what your father has been to you from birth, that's why he must take permission from your father even before he courts you. Finally, your man should be someone you know you can complement (support) him in his WORK to fulfill his divine purpose - that's your own purpose in life, to make sure your husband fulfill God's plan for his life, only then will you truly be fulfilled.

Hmm church in deed, Satan has really deceived a whole lot of people. Someone who knows God shouldn't dress this way in the name of fashion

Jesus said that no one enters the kingdom of God EXCEPT he is born again.

In that verse above, it is the souls that are in heaven. They couldn't have entered that holy place except they are born again.

The Souls in there are born again. Or reborn.

Our subject here is a living soul on earth. Does the Holy Spirit reside within the soul or the renewed spirit? I haven't seen anywhere in the Bible that refers to a renewed soul, but new spirit is very well mentioned (Ezekiel 11:19, 18:31, 36:26).
The spirit of man is the only means through which he communicates with his Creator, the soul is meant to be subject to the spirit for the man to realize God's purpose for him on earth. It's the spirit that comes alive at regeneration as the Holy Spirit mingles with the spirit man. The soul begins to transform as he obeys the spirit from moment to moment. The body also responds gradually to the thoughs, feelings and intentions of soul but will finally be transfigured at the second coming of Christ.

BTW the book of revelation shouldn't be taken literally, most parts of the book are very much symbolic. Dead souls in Christ can't be in heaven right now, they will all be resurrected at the 2nd coming of Christ.

I believe it's the dead spirit of man that's being reborn by the Holy Spirit during regeneration in preparation for His indwelling. Then the soul of the man that has been subject to his flesh begins to yield to the desires of the new spirit as influenced by the indwelling Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is God Himself who reveals more about Christ through His Word to the spirit of man.
The Holy Spirit doesn't regenerate the soul of man but can transform the soul as the soul yields to the prompting of the new spirit regularly. The soul(mind, will and emotions) can't host the Holy Spirit but can be influenced through the spirit (fellowship, intuition and conscience).

You're right but let's not forget the role of FAITH. According to Romans 6:11, the only reason we have the power to subdue the flesh daily is because Christ has destroyed the power of SIN for us on the CROSS, so we are dead to SIN - the flesh no longer has dominion over us (Romans 6:14). Having this FAITH in Christ's finished work is the beginning of experiencing victory over SIN.

We are all responsible for this decadence in morality. Everyone - the media, govt, families, churches, mosques, all of us have contributed to these evil characters that are getting worse by the day

With all these everyday killings, are humans still remaining there?

When people who call themselves Christians will not read and study the Bible they carry around, why won't "men of God" continue to scam them. Truly, God’s people perish for lack of knowledge.

Can you show us a single biblical verse to prove that the obedience of Old testament saints to Law of moses is EQUIVALENT to their faith and belief in ultimate Jesus sacrifice ?

Instead, he named the hill in reference to what God did; he named it Mount Provision. He named it knowing God would provide the ultimate sacrifice for salvation on that hill someday.

"As it is said to this day": Apparently, Moses meant even in his own day, men looked at that hill and said, “In the Mount of the LORD it shall be provided.” Abraham, and later Moses, recognized that God did provide, and it pointed to the ultimate sacrifice when God would provide Himself. “God provided a ram instead of Isaac. He did not provide an angel, nor a mere man, but God Himself.

Genesis 22:18
"In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice": The promise to bring forth the Messiah from Abraham’s lineage was also repeated (earlier in Genesis 12:3). The Messiah – the only Son of God the Father – would fulfill this promise of blessing to all the nations of the earth.

May God deliver Nigeria from the curse of diabolic leadership. It's only in Nigeria that political positions are seen as money making avenue and business ventures.

Their obedience to the law was their faith and belief in the coming ultimate sacrifice of the Son of God as promised, even their father Abraham had this faith in the coming Messiah.

Deliberately left out of senate leadership contention. He deserves it though

Matthew 10:5-6, Jesus sent His 12 desciples to the lost sheep of Israel and not to the Gentiles at that particular time because His mission was still centered on the Jews even though the Gentiles did come looking for Him and there is nothing to indicate that He commanded them never to preach to the Gentiles for all time, afterall they eventually did take His message to the Gentiles (Acts 8:35). Matthew 15:24 only confirms Jesus’ 3yrs mission NOT all time mission.

Numbers 23:19 means God is not like a man that lies and changes his mind, the verse did not say God cannot reveal Himself as a man. Afterall, He appeared as a Man to the Patriarchs in the old testament. I have told you about God's anthropomorphic revelations to men, He decides to reveal Himself in a way humans can comprehend Him, yet He is not like us but He created us to be like Him.

Yes, Malachi 3:6 says God doesn’t change and He has never changed in anyway. He has existed as a Triune Being before the beginning of time and will forever remain the same. He entered creation and revealed Himself in human flesh doesn't make Him a mere man, tell me a man that accurately predicted his own death and resurrection and I'll tell you the Man Jesus was not God incarnate. God is God, He is not man but can choose to break any natural protocol/law to reveal Himself in any form. He appeared like a cloud doesn't make Him a cloud, He appeared like fire doesn’t make fire. How God came into His own creation to reconcile us to Himself and still retained His diety may be incomprehensible to man but not impossible for Him to do.

Please stop misinterpreting the Bible just to drive home your points. You don't understand the Bible because you don't have the Spirit behind it and can't comprehend the revelations the Bible gives without Him - the Bible is another anthropomorphic Self-revelation of God (His speech in human language), yet not everyone will comprehend It.
