Proof of hotel booking in UK found not to be needed. My existing visa expires on the 14th of November. What they did was to make this one to be valid from the 7th of November which means if i need to travel before then, I have to use my old visa.

Please I am in a bit of a situation.

I am post-ITA and I had my medicals last week at Qlife. Unfortunately, my passport with the UK embassy was not out. I have exams in UK soon so i had to apply to renew my passport.

My husband presented his original passport while i only had a coloured copy.

I was informed they will notify Canada about it.

I intend doing an LOE attaching letter of explanaton, proof of my exams and proof that the passport is with the UK Immigration.

Please will this suffice?

Pls This issue of hotel reservation to add as documents for application, is it very necessary?

I have been looking for booking with free cancellation but I have not seen.

This will be my 5th trip to the UK.Under the option of where i will stay during the trip, can I simply add hotel and include the fact that I will book the hotel when my visa is approved.

Company is sponsoring the trip so there is no issue regarding funds.

I have tried to look for the answer to this question to no avail on the internet.

i will be travelling for an exam on the 16th of November to return on the 4th of December. My visa will expire on the 19th of November.

I want to start the process now to apply for my visa. I believe they will cancel this one and issue another one.

Is there any rule regarding when i should apply since the current visa is still valid?

I don't want any form of tension at all, hence my decision to apply this week.

Any advice in this regard will be appreciated.

Thank God for this thread with so much information. I planned using WES but read here that IQAS is good for lawyers and then the long wait to get ECA began.

Did ielts in January and the result was
L-8.5
R-8.5
S-8.0
W-7.0

Hubby did his evaluation too and our together, i had 444. This was in January when the points were still low so we felt he did not need to do ielts. By the time ECA arrived, the points kept going up and hubby was not ready to write ielts. I sha created profile in February. I just faced other things and i lost 5 marks on my birthday which made it down to 439.

He finally wrote ielts last month and scored.
L- 9.0
R-7.5
S-7.5
W-6.5

I picked up his TRF just last Friday and updated. we stood at 457 and i was considering either a remark or another ielts.

surprisingly yesterday, we got ITA!!!.

Please i read about the possibility of using 25% pension funds for POF. Since I will be using funds from i and hubby's account, can we use the 25% separately to make up the funds or it must only be from one party?

Please I'm having issues with my application. I'm the primary applicant. I have evaluated my certificate with iqas and for professional degree evaluation, ielts was 8,8,8.5,7. Hubby evaluated with WES but didnt wrote ielts because our points came up to 444.

I tried creating my profile today and after submitting, they said I was ineligible. They didn't even give me my points.

I'm wondering what the matter is. Is it because hubby didn't write ielts? I was informed that the secondary applicant doesn't need to.

Any advice will be much appreciated

i sought advice when I wanted to help my sister fill her application form. Thank God she got it. It took a total of 10 days from document submission.

She applied alone, she is married with four children (Two set of twins). Purpose of travel was to have "Mummy alone rest". A friend of many years sent her letter of invite but stated that my sister will sponsor herself.

Documents submitted:

1. Statement of account with anout N1.4M closing balance- cost of trip was pegged at N600,000.
2. Letter from her hubby giving her consent to travel and stating that she really needs time to rest.
3.Employment letter, Introduction letter from her office, pay slips.
4. Letter of invite from friend with passport data page.
5. Marriage certificate, children's birth certificate, wedding and family pictures.

Please, my sister is applying for a short trip to the UK. She is married with two sets of twins under 4 years and her friend over there sent an invitation that she wants her to visit to have a 'me" time to relax and return refreshed after been stressed . she also emphasized that though she is inviting her, my sister will be responsible for the trip. Her husband also wrote that he will take care of the kids in her absence with the two live in nannies. He also indicated that as a good gesture, he will pay for the flight as he realises his wife deserves a short break.

she has a closing balance of about 1.4M and the total cost of the trip is about 500k. He intends transfering the ticket money to her account and specifically state it is for that purpose, this will bring her closing balance to about 1.7M. Please, will this suffice? Since he is just sending 300k, will his account statement still be needed?

I did a search regarding their services and the average report was not too pleasant. I even contacted them o and told them about their online reputation. I expected them to refute same. Lol!

I have registered with IQAS, printed out the forms and based on posts from lawyers in the house, I have made contact with someone in school who will help with the process. I'll send her the request for transcript form and the other documents in one envelope so when the transcript is ready, everything will be dispatched in one envelope.

Expecting a quick and stressless journey. Lol.

Good day all. Thank you for the good work so far. I took time to read good portions of parts 1-3 and this but I will be grateful if my question gets answered.

I am 32 years old and a lawyer and hubby is 36 and an Engineer. We both have no Masters. I felt he should be the primary applicant because

1. My university grade is not so pleasant though i made a 2:1 in law school (I don't know if it is a factor)
2. It would be easier to get his transcript from unilag than my school in the East with the attendant logistics.

So he registered with WES yesterday, paid and got the code, he has also paid for the transcript with his school today.

i stumbled on a post here now that a law degree is given the same score as Masters and they advised the lady who is a lawyer to be the primary applicant. I also discovered that with my age, I should be able to gain higher scores than him.

My question is that is it possible to cancel the WES process he has started and get a refund? If i am the primary applicant, will he need to verify his certificates with WES later in the process to justify the WES expense incurred?

Answers will be appreciated.

My story,

I came here for counsel when I needed to apply for my two year visa and I think it's appropriate to give feedback.

Biometrics was done on the 3rd of November and received the mail to pick up on Friday the 17th of November. I did the normal route.

Shortly after I got the mail to pick up, I checked this page and saw a comment that visas are never issued to passport with less than six months validity. My heart sank because I never heard of that law and my passport is expiring on February, 2018.

The weekend was full of so much thoughts and worries. To think I had to wait the whole weekend was in itself torture.

I picked up today and I was issued the visa. I thank God for favour because several other people offline confirmed the passport rule.

Good evening. Apologies if this has been answered before. When a company is sponsoring, is the statement of account of the company sufficient alongside payslips of the staff? Or is the staff's statement needed too?

Thank you very much. I thought of SA but the issue of logistics was discouraging.

The exam can't be rescheduled and I don't have the liberty of six months since it is billed for January.

I guess I will have to see if my company can sponsor like the first time.

Thank you for taking time to reply. However, the test can't be done online anywhere. The only body that offers the program is Pearson vue and while it is an online exam, selected centres are accredited. The only country in Africa approved is South Africa and many people prefer to do it in London. Also, this is just the first stage of the exam.

What do you recommend I do?

Thank you very much for the time taken to answer questions. I tried reading so many pages so that I won't ask repetitive questions.

I've travelled to UK twice. The first time last year was on a company sponsored trainingcon which strength I got my visa. I travelled again this year for a week on a self sponsored trip before my visa expired.

I intend travelling in January for a qualifying legal exam
The cost of the exam is 678 pounds and I have paid already personally. I want to apply for the renewal of my visa using my husband's statement of account. The account balance is 1.3M. 1M from it was from the maturity of Tbills which entered another account and then he transferred to the account statement I'm using so you'll just see transfer of 1M from one of his account to another. Should I attach the treasury bill certificate to show how the N1M came about?

Also he transferred about 300 k about 3 weeks ago to another account where he has master card when he tried paying for something and it didn't go so he later transferred the money back to this account. I hope no red flags will be raised.

On my own, I earn about N250k every month but I don't intend using my account statement.

The cosy for the trip will be about 500k which should cover flight and handy money since the exam fees has already been paid.

Please advise accordingly.

This news must be taken with a pinch of salt. You can bet that the majority of those boys are innocent.

I used to believe stories like this till a colleague was picked about two weeks on his way from work on a Friday though he had his office ID and HMO card with him. They took him to the station and on Monday, took him to the task force office at Bolade Oshodi.

What I saw that day when I went to bail him was terrible. No dignity for humans in this country. Buses from different stations kept bringing in men and women. They'll try them in the mobile court and if your bail can't be perfected, you'll be thrown into jail.

Thank God for the reasonable officer who listened to me and released this man who is 48 years by the way. From Friday to Monday, no food or water was given to them and their phones were seized and returned on the way to the task force office.

I remember the man that begged me to help him because he was picked on the way to the hospital where his wife was in labour. He begged that someone follows to corroborate his story.

The same thing happened to me Sometime this year.

My atm card got missing and I went into the banking hall to make a withdrawal. I asked for a withdrawal slip and I was asked "how much are you withdrawing"?

I was taken aback but I answered but they said I can't withdraw less than 150k over the counter.

One of their staff asked me if I had requested for a new atm card and at that point I was furious. I asked that they show me the law or cbn directive stating that all withdrawals of a certain amount must be done via atm.

I told them that the use of atm is ADVISABLE and COMMENDABLE but not COMPULSORY and that nobody can be forced to use it.

By the time I was done with them, they took a slip to their manager to sign and I withdrew my money and walked away.

I Cut down on complex carbs for a long time. I ate more of protein. I did the cabbage soup diet about 3 times (I modified mine) and lost 2kg in a week but what I noticed is that I hardly loose weight the week after I finish the diet. I was generally on a vlcd but I am used to weight loss whenever I put my mind to it.

I didn't really exercise at all. I believe in exercising o especially muscle building. The benefit is that after a while, you can increase your calories without adding weight because your metabolism is now faster. The first time I lost weight and maintained it for about 2 years before marriage, I exercised a lot and I even had small packs . I also used to skip about 2,500 daily. I wonder why I am lazy now

I have my 5kg dumb bells and I would soon resume exercising.

hmm! it means the fat intake plays a vital role in the egg diet.

The egg fat seems interesting. I was able to loose 18kg from September till Feb. I started at 83 and got to 65. But now my weight fluctuates from 65-66.5. It's like I have reached a plateau.

I want to start the egg fast but @ fvine, is it compulsory to eat fat per egg consumed? I can't stand mayonnaise or butter. Would this in anyway affect the weight reduction?

I don't know Rachie from anywhere but I saw her post on saturday and the most logical thing to do was to go through her previous posts and topic.

This same lady came here last year asking for solution to her plight. Nobody gave any counsel or even responded to her.

A year later she comes with praise report without mentioning what she used till I asked her. All of a sudden, the detectives have risen to the occasion.

So if I come here as I believe I will very soon to share testimony, someone will begin to talk crap.

Thank you very much for the response. I don't know if it's the hormonal imbalance or the smalll sized testicles causing the issue.

To know whether or not a sperm would be found if ivf/icsi is done. Or a good urologist or medication.

In all, I trust God as overwhelming as it may seem.
