Sorry!!! Saw the yr naw |
@ gaby I advise u to invest ur money somewhere else. Trucking biziness is a very lucrative biziness and it yields very quick returns but U have to be very deep into it for u to see any of those returns. First of all the drivers would rob the bejesus out of U. And God save U if any of the spare parts gets worn out and needs to be replaced. The drivers quickly connive with the mechanics and use inferior parts but charge u at the price of the genuine ones. And there is a huge difference my brother, for instance a center bearing from Brazil would cost about fifteen thousand naira while an inferior one from China would just go for say 3000 naira. So apart from them ripping u off, they are also wearing down ur trucks due to frequent maintenace. Ol boy, I could go on and on ![]() However, if U insist u still wanna have something to do with trucks cos U have a source for it, I advice U to consider bringing in those trucks and selling them to local truck companies who have the time , energy and experience to manage trucking biziness. I know a couple of truckers that would be intersted in buying second-hand trucks for thier company. |
smile4kenn:@ manmustwac The highlighted words is for ur viewing pleasure ![]() @ topic Should we call for Prof Grange's head ![]() |
Is this MayKelly Igbo? ![]() Anyway the average of 40, 60 and 90 is actually 50 and not 43. So from ur research the average Igbo man gets married @ the age of 50 ![]() |
@ AJ Most people I know that were born in Nigeria had thier vaccinations in Nigeria, including moi. I assume that should be the case for u too. |
Akolawole:And it still bugs me how he ended up in the team. That guy cant pass the ball to save his own life. About Kayode, He has not made the team, at least not yet. Never heard of him until he scored that goal against Chelsea. Does that make him earn a national call-up? Only a joker in the name of a coach would think so. And the NFA has this uncanny penchant of hiring jokers in the name of coaches. Do they even have reason(s) for hiring and firing coaches? They fired Amodu sometime ago and now they are re-hiring him. Are they going to tell us the difference between the Amodu they fired and this particulalr Amodu they are hiring? I looked at his list for the name of Joseph Akpala. I dont know the guy but anytime I check african goal scorers of the week , his name always pops up. Right now I believe he is the leading scorer in Belgium. No-one is calling him up. Kayode scores one goal against Chelsea, he earns a call up. |
So what exactly is the problem here? ![]() |
fullofluv:I hope U ended the relationship based on what U know and not based on what U think or what others are making U think. |
tundewoods: How? This has scam written all over it that u can smell it miles away. First post got me thinking but the second post of the lap top rush nailed it for me. |
This thread has entirely deviated from the point. Extremisim has taken over and everything is in complete chaos. Please stop calling people names if they happen to have differing opinions. No one can be entirely right or wrong at all times, abegi. |
I am really at sea on how to call this situation. If this guy is playing some hanky panky games with the girl , first thing he would do is make sure he does not get caught. So, his not calling from Nigeria does not make sense. If he is stringing the girl along, u would think that he would be calling the girl every day to make sure he does not give her any room to entertain suscipions. Now if the Nigerian girl he is living with is his wife (or wife to be), then he cant be getting married in Nigeria. Unless if he is playing both girls. Unlikely if u ask me. U really cant say anything substantive based on the information the lady has just divulged. Did she even mention how long they have dated? |
Kobojunkie:This is not an indictment on the Yar Adua's administration. This is more to the past admin especially the Obj-led one. That guy had the opportunity to at least set Nigeria onto the road of some economic stability. As for the Yar Adua led- admin, I just siddon dey look. Time would tell if he is actually what we need. But I wont be surprise if it is all bark, bark and no bite. A bad government is usually the norm rather than the exception in Nigeria. |
Kobojunkie:It is actually sad. Very sad. A country that is filled with plenty potentials but taken down the drain by the gargantaun greed of our so - called leader. Nigeria is a gold mine. The resources are there, the personnel abundant. All the Government need do is just put in the enabling environment. Thats not asking for too much. Put in a reliable source of power (which the citizerns would pay for meaning more revenue), constant power supply (more revenue for the govt), link cities with roads . Then sit down and watch Nigeria grow into an industrialist nation. |
We are yet to see the yields of the "smaller money" that was allocated to the agric sector. Obj came out with his due process and of course we were optimistic. How wrong were we? I would not be excited if the govt increases funds to the agric sector by 80 percent . That does not mean it is going to the agric sector. |
Kobojunkie:The problem is not about "more money". The problem is making sure that the "little" money allocated to the agric sector is actually used for the agric sector. Chances are that it ends up in the bank account of one politician. A question please: Is the Federal Govt still subsidizing the price of fertilizers for farmers? ![]() |
LASIEFAIRE:Yeah. If the Nigeria government can get them to do that, then that would be getting them to admit that they screwed up. Which is good for Nigeria. But please, You guys should not miscontrue other people's opinion here. Nobody is saying thumbs up to the BA for doing what they did. We are just saying that we know why they could do that. And the ultimate solution would be to address the "why's rather than pick out some isolated incident(s) |
LASIEFAIRE:We are saying the primary cause of a disease is a better target for treatment than the symptoms of that disease. |
bawomolo:My point is that the BA would not agree to the fact that they mistreated anybody. The only way they would be made to pay anything is if they were charged to court or sumnin' and that is if the verdict turns out in favor of Nigeria. I dont see the BA paying a lump of money to Nigeria just because the government said so. I might be wrong, anyway. |
almondjoy:Almond!!! Alomond!!!!! Leave my place out of this ![]() |
bawomolo:Excuse me? Fine? For what and based on what? I can understand suspending BA operations in Nigeria. That would be a decision that NIGERIA took. Fining the BA is one thing is one thing. The BA paying up is another. If they pay up, it means that they agreed they screwed up. |
4 Him:Unless U wanna argue that growth factors are also antigens . The cell's response to antigen binding is uaually production of antibodies and for the most part , antigens are seen as foreign to the body. |
I am just curious here. What sort of redress do we expect to get at the end of this investigation . (That is making the assumption that this investigation actually sees the light of day) |
4 Play:To be honest, I think it just borders on some sort of "the West vs the Mu slim" thingy |
Big B1:The analogies I am reading on this thread is mind boggling ![]() If u are crazy enuff to beat ur mum, I dont think u would care less if someone does. U are crazy, remenber? ![]() |
4 Play:I dont think they are questioning the efficacy but they are definitely questioning the source ![]() |
Big B1:No one is condoning it. Investigations would not solve it either. We know how investigations go in Nigeria. Another committee formed , which to me are all avenues for politicians to make more money. But if we start taking ourselves seriously, maybe other nations would begin to take us seriously. |
LASIEFAIRE:Actually if the alternatives were ratified by the so called Northern elders forum, the ordinary man on the streets of Kano would take thier word for it and take thier kids to be vaccinated. That probably comes around to ur point of Ignorance. They just do what they are told without questioning or without seeking explanations. |
Thats my point. If u have taken any courses in RESEARCH ETHICS u would realize that most of these claims are not based on air. There are genuine reasons to be concerned. |
N-joy:LMAO But it is very logical to channel ur income towards mending ur roof . But it is not as if U cant do the two simulataneously, but if the two are linked , for instance U had a leaking roof which led to a disruption of ur power supply, U would wanna make sure that the roof is in good condition before U turn back on the power. |
LASIEFAIRE:U know I would not really blame them for thier thoughts. But I would blame them for not providing an alternative. If they dont trust the West, then fine. It is not unusual and it is not out of place not to trust the western powers. But they should at least look else where for their vaccines. Maybe Saudi Arabia, Dubai or some other Nation they feel they can trust ![]() |
@ his-grace I dont think so. Cruel as it may sound , thats the reality facing Nigeria and Nigerians today. Whatever we are experiencing today is an effect of the HOLE WE HAVE DUG OURSELVES INTO. It is like the cause and effect thingy or the disease and symptoms thingy. U can treat the symptoms all U want but as long as U dont go for the root cause then all ur efforts are merely cosmetic. |
