PoliticsRe: Polio Cases Double In Nigeria by Uche2nna(m): 6:52pm On Apr 23, 2008
The last vaccination exercise in the north was really a war of wits.

For some reason, the Northerners thought that the vaccinations coming from the west was one of the ploy to decimate their population. They figured the polio vaccine had some kind of fertility inhibitor which would make most of their women barren. One of the reasons why they decided to stay away from the exercise.
BusinessRe: Yar’adua Orders Investigation Of Maltreatment Of Nigerians By Foreign Airlines by Uche2nna(m): 6:43pm On Apr 23, 2008
@ 4HIM
Yar Adua shld go and find the crashed Beechcraft plane first. We like putting the cart before the horse.

Actually, both are not mutually exclusive. Who says he cant do both?

Having said that, I think I agree with Kobo on this one. We really have to start earning respect instead of demanding for one. And it should start by the Nigerian government treating its own citizens well. U cant care less about the welfare of ur citizens only to turn and cry wolf if another nationality does the same. There is an old saying "If U call ur house thrash, then ur neigbours would use it as a dumpster".

Question is "How do we portay ourselves to the outside world"? We can only be treated according to the way we project ourselves. And right now the projection is dat , the average Nigerian is a crook , a scammer etc and so we are treated as such. It is left for us to change that perception before we have the impetus to ask for better treatment.

TCUBE:
I think its been acted right now, I enjoyed real wrestlinng during the times of hugan, young undertaker and the warrior, those were real matches, I don't watch wwf , sorry wwe no more,
Even then it was still gimmicks. It was all about story lines , faces and heels. Thats what sells. The injuries and the stunts are for the most part real but the fact is dat both competing wrestlers know beforehand is supposed to win and all thier moves are orchestrated towards that.

Maybe cgift wants to start his own church and where else to get members if not from the one denomination that has the most members. Thats how most of them started. grin Tell them to divulge thier own denominations and u would really have a laff at the pots that are calling the kettle black.

And some of his hooks are off the chain. Nothing compared to the weak lines of today's rappers.

Feel little'Mo with this chorus to Thug Nature

Kissed the girls, made them cry
             Thuggin life, and gettin high
Why you gangsta, all the time?
             That's a thug's nature
Though sometimes, I can deal with it
I realize, that I'm feelin it
It's a love and hate relationship
             But that's a thug's nature

Choruses that send chills up your spine. That guy is legendary. A poet to the core.

And they say
It's the white man
I should fear
But, it's my own kind
Doin' all the killin' here ----- Only God can judge me
How prophetic were his words!!!!!
Music/RadioRe: Whats The Greatest 2pac Song by Uche2nna(m): 7:38pm On Apr 22, 2008
Pac is sth else. His lyrics are really out of this world. No rapper, and I mean that no rapper has even come close to what that guy achieved in such a short time. His music was simply REVOLUTIONARY.

It's time to fight back, that's what Huey said
2 shots in the dark ,now Huey's dead

                                                        ------ Changes

He takes history and puts them into rhymes.

I know of some couples that spent their life savings just because they wanted to impress on their wedding day and immediately after the wedding there was nothing to fall back on. Maybe the lesson should be buy your gown according to your purse and not because it is the Most Important day.

I did not say it is not important but not necessarily that you buy a gown of N75k just for the purpose.
I have seen couples like that too.

There was one that got married around my neighbourhood (in Naija). His wedding was very posh and he invited almost everybody that lived in the neighborhood. A few months after the wedding , the woman was heavy with pregnancy. But she still has to go to the market to buy stuff to cook dinner for hussy. If u see the woman pushing her belly and walking thru the market, U would really respect women. I dont know what happened, but one day she fainted in the market. She could not bear the hot sun.

It got me thinking. Wouldn't it be better if the man had an ok wedding and used the remainder of the money to buy a car for his wife? That would have saved the woman a whole lot of trouble.

What about yhe day you conceived? What about the day you gave birth to your first child? There are lot of Most Important days my dear.
Well if everything went according to plan, u are suppposed to get married before u concieve not to talk of giving birth. Getting married is the spark that sets of these chain reaction opf things. Maybe thats why women see it as thier most important day.

However, one wont go breaking the bank in investing in stuff that wont even be of use the very next day. I believe U should only spend what U think u can afford to lose on a wedding ress. So maybe it is an individual thingy. How much can U afford to lose?

Keep quiet and go and reconcile your 33,000 sects. Especially those that are blending bible and juju. Take the logs out of your eye.
No need to go there , imhotep. The Catholics are not known for sect-bashing. Let the hateful and vengeful ones do all the bashing.

How can u take this poster seriously? He is now a a mind conscience reader.
cgift:
zigam,

Their priests don't feel any form of corruption or sin when they infact commit these sexual sins. They are excused according to the great theologian and author, whom they have canonized and his books used in teaching the priests.
mind  conscience reader  grin

Maybe I missed it, but I find it kind of intersting You did not mention the theologian
cgift:
I sympathize with you. Do you know what it is to call someone a wolf in sheep's clothing? They say one thing and do another. You wont expect him to declare that in public would you.?
Maybe we don't but one thing we do know is that a house divided aginst it self would not stand.
While the Pope is out there advocating for world peace , apologising for sins committed by some priests (who has ever apologised for the sins committed by pastors or are they above sin?), fighting against stuff like abortion, whatchu u doing? Sitting down in the comfort of your arm chair and bashing. By their fruits we shall know them.

Being anti-catholic is not a denomination . Most of the Catholic bashers here would not reluctantly give out thier own denomination. Most would hide under the guise of "we are not Catholics" and spew nonsense. Put ur own denomination under the radar. I believe thats what Christ meant when he said take out the log from ur eye.
InvestmentRe: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by Uche2nna(m): 8:16pm On Apr 21, 2008
My own two cents,

Whatever You do, diversify your interests. Dont use all that money to buy personla shares from the market. If I were You , half of the money would go into mutual funds (I hear ARM is doing great these dayz, there are other mutual funds apart from ARM). It comes with its attendent risks but the managers of the fund are supposed to be seasoned in the biziness. Then some percentage would go into buying shares of blue chip companies. This is for long term and the risks here are minimal. Then finally, what to me is the gambling aspect Seun was talking about is the penny stock shares. You are capable of making a killing by buying and selling these shares but it is usually a high risk. You can lose money here faster than the speed of light.

Always bear in mind: Out of 5 stocks You buy , one would turn out really good, one would be really bad and the other 3 would just be ok. So the trick is to diversify!!!!!

I dont think so. Jesus is immortal and so no need for security.

The pope is mortal and he bleeds just like the rest of us. So yeah, he is gonna need security, it is not as if the pope does not have peeps who would want him dead. Remenber the last pope (Jon Paul ) was actually shot by a gun man.

@ dinnozzo
U are rite. Football in asia is steadily on the rise and the Japanese are @ the forefront. What they lack in skill they make up in being very fast paced and efficient. U have to wary of them. The Dutch are always known to have talent in abundance but most times they under perform. It remains to be seen if they would follow the same trend this year. I dont know much about the USA @ the youth level. I saw Freddie Adu play when he was with the Real Salt lake team. He was easily the star in that team but then again he was in a second rate team in a third rate league. It remains to be seen how well he does when faced with more quality opposition.I am tempted to say that might be the weakest team here. No logical reason apart from thier pedigree in youth tourneys. All said I think Nigeria is expected to wiggle out of this group, and I honestly expect them to top the group. After that, anything goes.
