Politics › Re: Why Is There No Oro Festival This Year? by Uchek(m): 1:15am On Mar 31, 2024 |
U said so much without saying nothing! ForensikOrder: Omo, your question carry weight o! The Oro Festival na one important part of our culture for some areas for Naija, especially for the Yoruba lands. E dey bring plenty attention because of the way e dey affect movements and activities for the areas where e dey happen.
About your question on why e be like say the Oro Festival no dey hold this year, e get different reasons why traditional celebrations fit pause or no loud as before. Sometimes, e fit be because of community decisions based on certain circumstances or changes for the community leadership or even external factors like government policies or public health concerns.
Another thing be say, these traditional celebrations, including Oro, dey planned by the community elders and the traditional council, and their decisions fit dey influenced by plenty things wey outsiders no fit immediately know. E fit be say dem decide to make the celebration lowkey this year or even postpone am for reasons best known to them.
The part wey you talk say e be like the Oro dey follow INEC timetable dey funny small but na valid observation. Traditionally, these festivals no dey align with political calendars; however, e possible say the community leaders dey consider the general atmosphere for the country, including political climate, before dem set date for their traditional events.
If the festival dey very important to you or you just dey curious, you fit try reach out to people from the community or check with cultural organizations wey dey related to the Oro Festival for more concrete information. Them fit dey in a better position to yarn you wetin dey happen behind the scenes.
E also possible say announcements or updates fit still come out later on. Traditional festivals like Oro dey deeply rooted in our culture and e no easy to just cancel them without serious reason. Keep your ear for ground; you might just hear something soon. |

Education › Re: Statistics Of Out Of School Children Per Regions In Nigeria by Uchek(m): 4:30am On Mar 20, 2024 |
Dey console yourself! lawani: By waec reg stats of 2019, SW is two times the SE in population if we assume the population of children is proportional to the total population In 2021 it shows SW being 2.1 times the SE. By out of school children, it shows the SW to be around 2.9 times of the SE in population If you check the enrolment by gender in waec results as published, you will notice that more Igbo girls sit for the exam than Igbo boys and the difference is significant. It is the opposite in Hausa land. So that explains some of the out of school kids in the East. However the only state in the south classified as ELDS is Ebonyi state Educationally less developed State but Ebonyi may be comparable to Ekiti or less in effect. Some of the kids missing in action in the east are obviously apprentices in the west and north. So they add to the number in the west but the total number of Igbo masters in the west with apprentice might be maybe two hundred thousand who have uneducated kids under them if up to that, so the addition to SW underage kids by SE people may be a maximum of 100k if up to that and there will be some sw kids in the east as well but it does not reflect in the waec enrollment by gender table published by waec since the ratio of boys to girls registering in the SW is like one to one. Therefore since a report suggests sw is 2.1 times of the SE and another suggests 2.9 and we know that some SE kids are missing there then we can say the SW is around 2.5 to 2.8 times of the SE in population and on a per Capita basis the SE may be said to now be more serious with education than the SW but by only a bit because 2.8 times of 390k is not up to 1.19 million. Even in Ilesa now there are kids who don't go to school not to talk of other places. It can be explained by saying whatever is affecting the Muslim north is also bound to affect the Yoruba to a certain extent but that is no excuse. However no SW state or any southern state at all is classified alongside Ebonyi as ELDS. Conclusion A higher percentage of Igbo boys than Yoruba boys are not going to school A higher percentage of Yoruba children in general than Igbo children are not going to school The population of the SW is anything from 2.5 to 3 times that of the SE and the level of education is more or less at par. |

Totally agree with u! The Igboman’s regret is the PARADISE LOST in Biafra’s non-survival as an independent nation. China, the most consequential nation in 21st century, would be racing to catch up with Biafra. Racoon: This is even with the sit-@-home wahala though not an acceptable trend. Despite all the self-created and inflicted problems of the Nigerian state against the SE region( including the over exaggerated insecurity situation), the region is still responsible for the most nerve-wrecking outstanding academic feats ever broken by any ethnic group in this nation.
This is a region whose entire land was blown to smithereens in a self hate genocidal war. Yet the protegees of their forefathers rose from the ashes to dominate the Nigerian education, commerce, transportation, health, occupying high politico-military positions in the US, UK, Canada and other nations across the world.
And what has happened to the contraption they foisted on us with a fraudulent constitution? This is 63 yesrs of failed Nationhood with no light under the tunnel or in sight. The fraudulent 2023 election really exposed the Nigerian state hatred for alaigbo. Now the rest of history.
It is a monumental blessing being a SE. It is a blessing being from alaigbo. Ala nkea Chineke goziri agozi. Ebe ndi ma Ihe. Chineke ga na zaputa ummuneya. Abeg umunnem, toonu Chineke anyi. Proudly onye dot. Udo di. Peace! |

Totally agree with u! mrvitalis: Lol after subsidy removal? Lmaooo APC propaganda
We are paying more subsidy now than we have ever paid... And we are also paying more for petrol now than we have ever paid
Divide those allocation by the exchange rate the u know states are getting far less
For the unfortunate people quoting me to talk rubbish here it is
Nigeria sells crude and earns in dollars that the bulk of revenue
This dollar was sold at official rate to Cbn thats 450 per dollar
Now naira has devalued official rate is 1500 which is over 3 times the previous rate.. Plus we supposedly stopped playing over 1 trillion per month in subsidy
So the revenue should be 3 to 4 times the figures before may 29ths if we actually removed subsidy

Luckily enough for me, this person has never used Google ads before at the time, so he doesn't have much expectations.
He wanted to give it a try to know if it will be profitable for him to continue using it.
He proceeded by creating his AdWords account and submitted the details for me to start the work.
I got everything setup within some minutes and the ads started running that same day.
Within a week, the client started seeing some patronage in his physical store in Manitoba, Canada. By the way, he owns a computer repairs business and looking for more patronage.
With the improvement in patronage as reported by the client, i feel much relieved and develop even stronger interest in mastering Google ads. |
