I have had the pleasure of reading Dele Babarinsas many write up's over the years. Just incase he has an account here on NL, I want to tell him the following.

Biafra has never been about war. Biafra has always been a peaceful and democratic agitation. It is Nigeria that has always brought violence and war into the issue of Biafra. In 1967, it was Nigeria that brought war to the peaceful East and right now, it is Nigeria shooting unarmed peaceful Biafran protesters. But when we retaliate to defend our selves, Nigerians will say we started war.

Biafra has never been an "Igbo only" thing. Igbos just happen to be the largest ethnic group in Biafra by far. It should be noted that all the minorities of reserve the right to be or not to be part of Biafra. However, they must be given a voice to speak for their individual selves without anyone abrogating 'Nigeria' 'Biafra' or 'SS' on them.

Finally, I want to say that Biafra is the legitimate right of a people to decide their destiny same as anybody. We are all 'Nigerians' not out of free choice but by the choice of a British armed robber called Frederick Lugard. When do we indigenous Africans get to decide who we are? A 'forced union' never works out well. We Biafran agitators want a UN superviced referendum in the south of Nigeria so everyone can decide for themselves what they want.

This writer is either ignorant or twisting the facts to suit his message. It has been made clear by IPOB and its supporters that the call for Biafra is not a call for war. All they are asking for is a simple UN supervised referendum. Even UK which created Nigeria and which has powerful military and nuclear weapons allowed scotland to have a referendum. Nigerians cannot simply wish this away or remain in denial for long.

Nigerians are suffering terribly today, despite being richly blessed by nature. The reason is because few cabals have seized everything and stored for themselves, friends and family to the tenth generation.

However, to distract the suffering masses so they don't understand what they're doing, they preach Igbo hate as a national ideology. Unfortunately, Nigerians mostly have low IQ and can't think critically. Otherwise, the people should have asked themselves this question, why should I hate on Igbos?

The Igbos have no history of seizing lands from neighbors or wherever they settle no matter how large their number may be. Every single plot of land they are living on outside their indigenous territories were BOUGHT by them!

Igbos have never attacked any indigenes in their land. They're always business minded and has helped to develop any community where they're based. Any honest Nigerian can easily attest to this, be it Jos, Benue, Abuja, Lagos, Calabar, Kaduna etc. So, why hate on Igbos?

Igbos voted for Obasanjo (a Yoruba man) in 1999 and 2003. Igbos voted for Yaradua (a Fulani man) in 2003 and 2007. Igbos voted for Jonathan (an Ijaw man) in 2011 and 2015. Igbos raised alarm over Buhari and we're blunt in warning other Nigerians that this man is a bigot who has absolutely nothing to offer. Now this is where things became ridiculous. Buhari emerged president in 2015 and made Igbo hating the centerpiece of his administration. They promoted all manner of evil campaign against Igbos and how Igbos refused to vote for Buhari because he was a Fulani and a Muslim. They didn't remember that Yaradua was also a Fulani and a Muslim yet Igbos never for one day were against Yaradua. Why, because it was clear to everyone that Yaradua was a good man.

Because of Igbophobia promoted by the Buhari administration as a distraction, Nigerians couldn't question his gross maladministration. Any dissenting voice was immediately tagged Igbo or IPOB. So, to avoid being villified as hateful Igbo or IPOB, Nigerians kept mute while suffering. Today, almost everyone has agreed that Buhari was a disaster on Nigeria. Posterity has already proven that Igbos were right to reject Buhari. But, it's already too late.

Ahmadu Bello in his interview claimed Igbos were the ones in Northern civil service before he came and had to introduce Northernization policy to make sure no Northern job was held by outsiders especially Igbos and it worked and has remained so till date.

Akintola too said it that out of 112 people employed at the Premier University in Nigeria and in Yorubaland, only 3 were Yorubas while the remaining close to 100 were Igbos (a University in Yorubaland o). They made sure the VCs in Ibadan and Lagos were Igbos but Northerners resisted such in their own domain.
He said something about Igbos always wanting to fill themselves as top to bottom in every organization they find themselves and it is 100 percent correct.
Reason the younger generation Yorubas must wake up and take up what rightfully belong to them in this present day and time. Don't let anybody call you tribalist to guilt trip you, you have every right over your lands and jobs in South West, Nigeria. Our parents allowed Igbos feed them with lies that Northerners are bad, are this and that just so Yorubas can be out of mainstream politics in Nigeria which was exactly what happened. Reason so many States in South West aren't looking so posh as Lagos that had British presence first and later Federal government.

The Igbos despite having power didn't develop their region but were busy enriching themselves, living flamboyant lives and sending their wards on scholarships and abroad trips with Nigerian government money. Akintola said it that no tribe in Nigeria enjoyed half of what Igbos enjoyed from largesse at the centre, yet they claim victims all the time.

If Igbos tell you they want biafra, tell them to leave and never return. Let them go and rule over themselves as they please.

If only they studied their history they would have properly appraised their chances of attaining victory thereby coming up with better strategies that best suites todays reality. They allowed an illiterate from the gutters to rule them. They sheepishly and shamelessly soled their voices to an albino who lacks the ability to see behond his emotions. He turned a very good political/social movement into a terror organisation. Thanks to him and his likes, the south east is today a shadow of itself. When emotions are high, it gives room for social vices and terror.

You don't seek to peacefully break away from a sovereign nation like Nigeria without preparing for war. If their emotions didn't get the better side of them I'm sure they would have come up with better strategies.

The Nigerian Government isn't responsible for the poor state of the south east but their Governors, national house of assembly members, senators, chairmen and councillors are infact the very group of entities stopping the south from progress. How come this truth is so difficult for us all to see?

Like feminism, all IPOB needed to do was to ensure they infiltrated the government by having policies makers in government like federal house of assembly members, senators, governors, chairmen and women etc and then enact effective policies that would propel the south east region towards prosperous economic growth but on the contrary IPOB been led by an Illiterate chose terror over common sense. Had the Sarikin Fulani of Ikeja, if such exists, said the exact same thing Nwajagu said, would he have been arrested?
