Foreign Affairs › Re: Countries That Gained Independence In October Just Like Nigeria by Uchek(m): 11:52pm On Oct 01, 2023 |
So true DrGoodman: The issues that sank Nigeria are Tribalism triggered by unhealthy competition initiated by people who couldn't stomach the rise of a particular part of Nigeria to greatness.
So they lied, cheated, fought, killed, and destroyed the whole process in the country that can bring a level playing field for all the country, because they know that tribe will race ahead again.
The fight against that tribe meant that they had to cut corners with the truth, cutting their chances down just to make sure nobody rises, if it means the successful region will rise faster. So standards were lowered, educationally, financially and socially, it became okay to lie about things on national TV, as long as you will be seen to be against that tribe, you will be forgiven.
Institutions had to be killed, processes had to be destroyed, procedures had to be abolished for the tribal Lords to unfairly climb up to twist the truth. Of course the end result became the elevation of haters, criminals and illiterates who cares less about the general wellbeing of the country. As the criminals took over, and are still in power, expect no meaningful developments, because

If Ironsi abolished the regions, what did he replace it with? How states did he replace it with? What was the names of the state governors he appointed after abolishing the regions? yoruboid: Ironsi abolished the regions
Azikiwe kicked against the exit clause in the constitution. He was the first to use the phrase “one Nigeria”
A coup led by mostly Igbo soldiers killed leaders in other regions but spared theirs. After that you expected the North who were most affected to have taken it lying low. During the war, the Biafran soldiers buried Ikwerre men and others in the SS alive and raped their women
After the war, Yorubas returned their properties to them after the war but they lost all they had in PH.
Yorubas have taken enough from these ungrateful and intolerant lots
PBAT made a mistake by appointing one of them a Commissioner as Governor when when a Governor in Anambra would never appoint a PS from Ebonyi

You will need to go through the territories of Cross River, Akwa Ibom or Rivers to access the sea
Would Niger Republic claim it’s not landlocked because it can access the sea through River Niger?
There are only 8 states in Nigeria with sea coastlines and they are - - Lagos - Ogun - Ondo - Delta - Bayelsa - Rivers - Cross River - Akwa Ibom

Stop using United State as an analogy. The real governance in US that impacts average Americans is at the state and county/city level because US practices authentic federalism. Federal govt act mostly like a captain lead the ship of the nation. . blacknp: Monument of shame to the black race? I don’t think so, Nigeria is highly respected in the International community, what’s the big deal if he puts who he wants there? When he leaves office the Southerners should balance the equation by putting their own people there, that is democracy, take example Donald Trump’s nomination of another conservative Judge to the Supreme Court, whilst the democrats are shouting it is unfair. |

Yoruba, Fulani, Ijaw, Gwari, Hausa etc, you produced President, either in military or civilian guise, are you currently enjoying Nigeria better than others? Has producing the President uplifted you?
The North that had produced the most Presidents, they suffer more extreme poverty than the South, they have only two places worthy to be called cities, Kano and Kaduna
Katsina Produced Buhari as President, half of that State is in the hands of bandits, it still holds the record as the state that had the highest number of children abducted by bandits in a single day, while Buhari was visiting
Those of you that have produced President since 1970 the civil war ended, tell us what you benefited from producing President, then after, tell us all how you brought Nigeria to where it is, poverty capital of the world and 8th most insecure country on earth |

The fool said every Nigerian is excited that Tinubu rang a bell. He thinks all Nigerians are lowlives that support drug trafficking 'first class' graduate that is preventing access to his academic records.
This is what happens when Omojuwo and co are bankrolled by Tinubu/Buhari. You have to play the role of a fool to defend Tinubu.
Modified: I just noticed some ignorant babablu supporters trying to shift goal post by saying that NYSE is not the same as NASDAQ
NYSE is a bigger market than NASDAQ. NYSE has an equity market capitalization of 25 trillion dollars as of July 2023. It is the biggest exchange in the world.
Jonathan rang the bell at the biggest market NYSE which Omojuwa criticised, but praised Tinubu for ringing bell at NASDAQ.
You have to be wonderfully dumb to still defend Omojuwa on this. |
