LUGARD'S DUAL MANDATE ON NIGERIAN TRIBES 1922...( Copied from Mathew Mbanaja"s wall) *The handover notes Lord Lugard wrote to his colleague, Walter H. Lang, on the 25th of September 1918. The quote reads inter alia:* HAUSA The Hausa-Fulani has no ideals, no ambitions save such as sensual in character. He is a fatalist, spendthrift and a gambler. He is gravely immoral and is seriously diseased that he is a menace to any community to which he seeks to attach himself. YORUBA Lagos has for 20 years opposed every Governor and has formented strife and bloodshed in the hinterland…, I have spent the best part of my life in Africa; my aim has been the betterment of the natives for whom I have been ready to give my life. But after some 29 years, and after nearly 12 years as Governor here, I am free to say that the people of Lagos and indeed the westerners are the lowest, the most seditious and disloyal, the most purely prompted by self-seeking money motives of any people I have met. IGBO These people of predominantly Eastern Nigeria are fiercely rebellious with no regard for authority. Though industrious and religious, in deference to the objectives of her majesty and the crown, they are highly dangerous to be trusted with. Hit it miss |

Starting from Nigeria, there have been various attempts to succeed by many groups in the country due to reasons we all know, a typical Nigeria leader is disconnected from the masses, they make mountains of promises in their campaign with no avenue on how they can be fulfilled, the governors think they can generate money from thin air to solve issues worth about USD 4 Billion. I mentioned $4 Billion, cos that is all it takes to develop a state with 21 local government areas if $100 Million are to be spent on each LGA, to fix all community and state roads, generate and distribute 1000MW of Electricity, Provide Housing, Quality western standard education, health care and at least follow a master plan to make any state reach western standard for development. But the typical Nigerian leader is out of touch, the Nigerian people are not asking for too much, all we need is the basic, Nigeria has 774 local government area, that needs a touch of infrastructural development, if the government decided to spend $100 Million on each, we would have spent $74 Billion in Moving Nigerian from rural to urban in a few moments, till the government reconnects with its people, agitation will not stop IPOB, don't think trying to ruin the agitations with propaganda will Stop. |
I see the government is trying to rubbish the agitation, I just laugh in Swahili, If Nigerian remains unfair to all, the Idea of Biafra cannot be rubbished, Fix the country to end all of these, all people are asking for are health care, good roads (Rural and Urban) education and not sharing public resources. |
PARADIZEPRIEST:Shut up arrogance is what they need to develop, humility is rubbish |

I have been following both real life and twitter and I discovered the unending romance between igbo women and Yoruba men, I want the igbo women to come explain to use what makes them love yoruba men so much? That they want to be wifed and bear kids for yoruba men. Enjoy!!! Igbo men pls don't come and defend Igbo women, they clearly don't like igbo men, they think Igbo men are too feminine. They see yoruba men as dark and masculine. |
