PoliticsRe: Reasons Why ACN And CPC Alliance Will Fail by Ufeolorun(m): 7:16pm On Aug 15, 2012
jonathan popular in the SW cheesy grin His win was an ACN/Jonathan arrangee- Money deals, lowering pdp gubernatorial resistance in Ogun and Oyo.These were more important to Acn than a long shot presidential candidate(Ribadu),now that more ground has been conceded to acn and they are stronger for it,Jonathan has nothing really to offer them any more and that's why I think they would be more serious about this merger or alliance.
Elrufai and Buhari would have to do a lot of work to translate their popularity to more governors and votes-Jonathan winning Gombe/Adamawa without a trade off with cpc was an insult(there was definitely a trade off for every SW states he won)

The resistance to pdp in 2015 will be strong, direct and recalibrating, all in all the politicians will benefit most.
PoliticsRe: We Are Taking Illorin And Offa With Us, North Dares Yoruba by Ufeolorun(m): 10:32pm On Aug 12, 2012
Religion has a strong role to play on his perception-some Yoruba-Muslim fervently crave northern endorsement because they feel this is one of the ways to be a real Muslim. This is what some Yoruba Islamic leaders have fought against in the past-ensuring Yoruba Muslim don't kowtow or see themselves as second rated to Northern Muslims.
The northern establishment have been using religion as a political tool for so long and have always tried hoodwinking Yoruba Muslims to swell it numbers hence political strength
Like Ileke said the Igbominas would disaGREE with his take but people have the right to choose which direction they feel comfortable with.

Okene ke?
This rag tag,not up -to-scratch bastards enliven by a failed and incorrigibly clueless presidency are getting closer and warmer.
Sw need to be swift, decisive and brutal in its response to any unnecessary attempt at shedding of innocent blood.
The federal government must also be seen as a collaborator because of the shocking free hand this rag tag, poorly trained Osama bin laden copycats has been given
This is a fight for our life, society and a well funded vigilante group that would later morph into a regional police would be in order.
I can flipping decide to worship my sneakers that should be my freaking business- kokojabele.

Its our call to make, everyone is welcome to do business with/in Africa.
Its left for Africa to use this opportunity as a leverage to compete or else we may end with a worse partner in the Chinese.
We have no friends just aggressive business partners .Its all about interest.
EducationRe: Is University Education Overrated? by Ufeolorun(m): 9:36am On Aug 04, 2012
Yeah you get that sort of feeling at times and it has got nothing to do with the Nigerian system, really.
Have got more from attending workshops than I ever got in most school classes. There's too much emphasis on academic exercise rather than what's really relevant. No frills skill and knowledge acquisition to me is the best, though it's often shorter and expensive but its worthwhile compared to Uni where they basically want to justify how much you paid by stuffing the syllabus with mundane academic stuffs(not applicable to all uni courses especially engineering, meds, law and probably accounting).
General knowledge isn't bad sha but nowadays core skill rules.
PoliticsRe: Ogoniland Declares Independence!!! by Ufeolorun(m): 4:51pm On Aug 03, 2012
Rampaging secessionists who stumbled into power are using the ogonis as a smoke screen for a bigger machinations.

CareerRe: How to Become Self-confident In 3 "Easy" Steps by Ufeolorun(m): 1:22pm On Aug 02, 2012
The job you were offered would have had skills requirement and ordinarily the source of your self confidence would have been that strong belief that you fit into their requirement and can fill the skill gap.
Self confidence has it sources hence it can't be viewed in isolation
spicy v: @ Maclatunji: I have read through your post and the responding posts, I think you are actually missing the point that Violent has clearly communicated in diverse ways. Violent's last post did not portray that confidence stems from a specific skill (the case θf knowing how to ride a bike) it was merely an instance.

Self confidence has absolutely nothing to do with how much skills you possess! I have met so many people who are so good at what they do, it is obvious to everyone but themselves! Now, that is a classic case θf having knowledge and expertise but lacking confidence!

Self confidence is being comfortable with your personality, accepting the entirety θf your person, irrespective θf contradictory popular opinions.

Instance: I have been offered job opportunities, not on the basis θf how well experienced I am but how much confidence I exuded in assuring the client that I am best fit for the job! My confidence in this scenerio was not dependent on any skill but on the assurance that somehow and however I can and will deliver beyond the expectation θf my client! So also have skilled people lost viable opportunities because they lacked the confidence to convince their publics to trust their abilities.
The job you were offered would have had skills requirement and ordinarily the source of your self confidence would have been that strong belief that you fit into their requirement and can fill the skill gap.
Self confidence has it sources hence it can't be viewed in isolation

Awa mama World bank measures budgetry performance by funding,I wonder what she's really co coordinating.

Maybe you need to remove ethnicity from this to prevent the usual distraction.
PoliticsRe: I Thought People Said India Is Better Than Nigeria? by Ufeolorun(m): 11:23am On Aug 01, 2012
Mr Everest: your argument flies in the face of reason!
That's normal

but don't compare Tata to Innoson pls bro.
PoliticsRe: I Thought People Said India Is Better Than Nigeria? by Ufeolorun(m): 9:59am On Aug 01, 2012
Rossikk: But you have folks like you that regularly sing the praises of Ghana, saying she's better than Nigeria. I can use your same argument to destroy the 'Ghana is better than Nigeria' claim.

''Where is Ghana's Dangote Group?
Where is her Zenith Bank?
Where is her First Bank?
Where is her UBA?
Where is her Oando PLC?
Where is her Transcorp?
Where is her GLO?
Where is her INNOSON motors (vehicle manufacturers)?
Where is her Zinox (computer manufacturers)?
Where is her Defence Industries Corporation (DIC), West Africa's largest weapons manufacturer?''

I mean if we want to go down that road of ''this country has bigger companies than that, and therefore must be better'', then Nigeria is surely the second best country in Africa after SA!!!!

Anyone disagree? huh
Lol
Only Oando is worthy of note and can be described as global but the rest are just piripata and kara-kata companies even globalcom isn't global
They have what it takes but a lot of them draw too much inspiration from the political sphere and some of the owners are actually sidekicks of our shockingly myopic politicians just look at Transcorp and what has become of it.
I remember sitting in front of tv watching the launch of Transcorp, virtually slobbering, telling my bro. this is it we are taking over West Africa and then on to compete globally.

About Ghana maybe na the wache( lovely food) wey Ghana woman they cook for me they make me support them lol but seriously the political maturity of that country is worthy of note and its translating to some really interesting economic benefits.
Compare Yara dua saga to the effortless transfer of power to Mahama

Katsumoto: You keep trying to shift the post. The thread is about India and Nigeria and not about Nigeria and Ghana. If you want to compare Nigeria and Ghana, then by all means, open another thread for that.
Lol
PoliticsRe: I Thought People Said India Is Better Than Nigeria? by Ufeolorun(m): 6:48pm On Jul 31, 2012
Rossikk: Don't give me that bullshiit. The fact that the outage became news was because HALF the country or 620 million people are without power at the same time, NOT because power outages are unusual. Power cuts are a DAILY OCCURENCE in India. Better use your brain and READ the comments made by Indians themselves in the article before coming here to play bodyguard for them. The crisis there is equivalent to the entire north of Nigeria being without power (or the entire south).

As for India being on overdrive, TELL THAT to her suffering millions:

''The World Bank estimates that India is ranked 2nd in the world of the number of children suffering from malnutrition, after Bangladesh (in 1998), where 47% of the children exhibit a degree of malnutrition. The prevalence of underweight children in India is among the highest in the world, and is nearly double that of Sub-Saharan Africa with dire consequences for mobility, mortality, productivity and economic growth.''

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malnutrition_in_India
Bullshit ke? Lol even my praising your commitment didn't stop that, taek it easy mae! No be fight.

Where's is Nigeria's Tata( though I think conglomerrate company model is 'bullshit')
Where's is Nigeria's Bharti
Where's Nigeria's Arcelo-mittal
Where's Nigeria,s: Reliance industry,Infosys technologies
How many of nigerias political billionaires turned 'corporate titans' as they normally refer to them has been able acquire old and tested western brand like land rover and Jaguar
I said earlier they have problems but its infantile to try use these as reasons why Nigeria should be compared to India.
Let's be patriotic but we should allow our loyalty be guided by what's seriously wrong and not working in Nigeria so we can run towards solution.

Our potential is enormous and that's why I get angry at the way we are just letting our chances slip.
